i watched it all the way through ONCE but every time i rewatch twd i want to stop right before the saviors are introduced and go all the way back to the beginning again. like i know i’m beating a dead horse here i just love glenn so much and his death is so horrible!!! i cry every time and then i have to watch negan get a redemption arc two seasons later??? then relatively soon after glenn, carl dies, then rick leaves. don’t get me wrong i LOVE all the other characters that are in the later seasons but those three are just Different i love them so much and i will never forgive negan OR amc for what they’ve done to me

i want 100 episodes of the group at the prison between s3 finale and s4 premiere (bc they skipped like 6 months???? and i wanna see every second), and also 100 episodes between s6e9 and s6e11. they were given so little time to enjoy alexandria before the saviors (keyword: ENJOY bc they are suffering from the second they get there until the end of ep9)

The thing about 911 is that the shipping drama and discourse surrounding it completely belies how insane this show truly is. A man is attacked by a shark on the freeway. Ghosts are probably real, and so are curses. The most recent season opens with a bee-nado that segues into a plotline about an autistic half-orphan child landing a broken plan. The most dramatic moment between the fandom's favorite ship is one of the characters getting shot by a sniper in broad daylight in the suburban streets of Los Angeles. Buck's introductory scene of the entire show is him stealing a firetruck to have sex with a Tinder hookup. The fire captain's backstory is an addiction that led to the death of 148 people. He's best friends with his wife's ex-husband and once proposed to said ex-husband's boyfriend on his behalf while that boyfriend was performing brain surgery on a man in the middle of a burning building. There's a guy who sneezes every time he lies and then lies so hard he almost dies. One of the main characters gets rebar impaled through his skull and is back to work the next month with no lasting side-effects. They basically never fight fires.

beth dying is still one of the stupidest shock value deaths ever. they killed her off just as she was figuring out her place in the world!!!!! she was doing so good and they killed her for no reason :(

she would have LOVED alexandria too ugh they robbed me of so much

god i love the walking dead!!! i watched it for the first time in the beginning of 2023 (i was late i know) and i’m on rewatch #5 right now. i know the whole plot front and back but i’m still reacting to everything like it’s the first time i LOVE it. i keep trying to put it on as a sleep show but i can’t because i always get sucked in and don’t wanna miss anything.

omfg carl was so bored in s2 he’s literally just kicking around dirt

no wonder he was going around doing all that stupid shit, all the adults were busy with “adult stuff” and he was the only kid around, just bored as hell.

by the way fuck shane for real. i believe that he loved rick in the beginning, but by the end he only cared about himself. he thought that he cared about lori and carl and pretended that everything he did was to protect them but he was hurting them too. he lashed out at carl because lori didn’t want him, he forced himself on lori while she begged him to stop. he betrayed rick and tried to kill him even though that would hurt them more than anything. he didn’t truly care about them, he just wanted them to be his. if he had continued to lead the group instead of rick he would have lead them to their deaths with his brash decisions and the way he thought everyone was out to get him. he was a complex character and he had his good moments but overall he was selfish and callous and that’s why he was always going to die the way he did.

something so funny to me about the walking dead is that it’s essentially canon that every effort of the US government to stop the spread of this disease just made it 10x worse. like they bombed major cities and shot people that were exposed in hospitals, all of which just created even more walkers. it amuses me

really want to start a rewatch of the walking dead (tis the season) but i’ve been trying to write this 9-1-1 story for MONTHS and ik the second i hit play on twd i’ll forget about what i’ve been writing.
