Beautiful
I've been working on and off on this for a while now, and it ended up far better than I thought it would!
Ophelia and Malak, from my upcoming magical girl comic Dawnkeeper
I (once again) tried something new with my colouring.

I've finally woken up. I've started the process of healing, but unseen wounds cut deeper than any physical scars. Locked within my own head for so long, it's difficult to reframe my state of mind. But I'm trying.
Yet, the beauty behind the tragedy is that I can finally see the horizon. I'm breaking my bindings to become the person that I want to be. I can live my life instead of simply being an extension of someone else. I don't know what it will look like. But after being stagnant for so long, I feel like I can move forward.
And I finally have hope.

General question. Who would you like to see more stories of and interactions with. Phantine? Amber? Akiko? Raelyn? I’m open to literally anything really.

mare lamentorum
—Silent lamentations and prayers of hope echo soundlessly to a sundered star, adrift and alone.

Kylar was not truly a very good romantic. In fact romance was a language he still did his best to figure out. But today, staring at his handiwork on the bed and the neat pathway that lead to it, along with a card and several decorative boxes of chocolates and pastries, he felt he spoke it rather well.
Smiling to himself, the rogue slid from the room and retrieved Akiko's younger sisters, bribing them with a day of treats and a trip to the market to be able to offer Akiko a true day of relaxation. To be completed of course with pampering upon his return.
Once Akiko returned, the freshly cleaned and organized apartment apartment would be empty, save for the surprise he had laid out for her, and a card that read:
"Happy Mothers Day, My Little Scales. This is your day to relax and enjoy. The girls are safe with me at the market and not a chore has been left unfinished. The rest of your gift you will get upon my return.
Love always,
Kylar
P.s. I got your favorites. You do not have to share with anyone!"
Beside the card rested a single moon rose, its pale blue petals standing in stark contrast to the red and white petals that were placed in a trail to the heart on their bed.
Satisfied, Kylar shooed the girls outside and got his gil ready for what he knew would be a hectic and expensive day. But... Akiko was worth it.

Mood song
A sunny clear blue day outside the city of Gridania and one au ra is laying in the grass just outside the walls staring up past the breaks in the trees to the ocean blue vastness. Deep ruby eyes that showed so much promise of life and a warming smile that would make you melt. Akiko laid there, hands resting behind her head and legs crossed one over the other as she spent the warm afternoon lounging. Softly inhaling a breath she caught the glimpse of a squirrel from the corner of her eye feasting upon an acorn with glee. Flowers dancing in the breeze, trees rustling and leaves falling, the clouds surfing through the sky, these were all the little joys in life that Akiko cherished so highly.
What was she doing just lounging outside the city? Well she was awaiting her traveling companion who also just recently proposed to her through all the second guessing of himself and all the nerves and upside down stomach feelings. He asked her, she said yes, the ring rested perfectly upon her finger. The more she lets this replay in her mind the bigger her smile would get.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him...” she spoke to herself, “He’s everything I could ever hope for and more...” That’s when one hand escaped from beneath her head and moved overtop of her to rest upon her stomach. For he not only had proposed to her but also had given her another gift.
A baby. (Or two)
