Indefinite Hiatus Note

So I've been gone without warning, and for that, I apologize, especially since I promised replies to some of you. Yes, school's been keeping me away from Tumblr, but there's more to that.

I'm just not getting into Tumblr RPing.

I think I've been around Tumblr's RPing community for a little over half a year now, and I don't think it's the right community for me. It's a damn shame, because I've been RPing longer than most people in this community have, and RPing has been a catharsis for me for over half of my entire life. I don't want to give it up, but with the way things are going, it feels like I'm finally outgrowing RPing, and that revelation pains me. I hope I'm wrong on this account.

Let me just make it clear right now that it's not anyone's fault. No one has been giving me trouble, and I do enjoy the RPs I have had. I wish I could talk to everyone more outside of RPs, but it's hard for me to find the time for just a chat, and even harder to even figure out what to talk about.

I just can't seem to find what I want on here, that's all. I thought maybe I just needed a break, hence the unannounced disappearance, but after several weeks away, I still can't bring myself to be inspired with my blogs on here, and I'm truly sorry to all those who have been waiting on me, only to receive this message that I most likely won't ever finish my replies.

Maybe someday, I can bring myself to come back, but I don't think it's likely.

Still, if you guys ever want my Skype, just drop me a message in my inbox, and I'll give you my username as soon as I can.

"What would you two think of a forest like this one?"

The Amazing Underwater Forest of Lake Kaindy

What makes Lake Kaindy truly remarkable is that it contains an underwater forest. Visible on the lakes surface are the tall, dried-out tops of submerged Spruce trees that rise above the water’s surface like the masts of sunken ships. They are the only sign of the amazing frozen forest below the water’s surface.

The water is so cold (even in summer the temperature does not exceed 6 degrees) that the pine needles remain on the trees, even after a hundred years of being submerged. During the winter, the lake freezes and becomes a popular spot for ice diving.

The lake is 400 meters long and is located in Kazakhstan’s portion of the Tian Shan Mountains, about 129 km from the city of Almaty. The lake was created after an earthquake in 1911 triggered a large landslide blocking the gorge and forming a natural dam.

I’m a little curious.

If I were to have a free breedject giveaway open for Gen VI games, would anyone be interested? I need to free up some space in my PC, and I personally feel like it would be a shame to release some Pokemon that other people could use.

For those of you that don’t know, breedject Pokemon tend to be Pokemon with:

4 - 5 perfect IVs

Beneficial nature

Hidden Ability (sometimes, depending on the Pokemon)

Egg moves (sometimes, depending on the Pokemon)

None of my breedject Pokemon was hacked or cloned, of course.

This will be open for anyone, not just mutuals.

Let me know if this should be a thing?

“No,” Zether answered flatly as he paused his music and pulled the earbuds out, dark brown eyes never even glancing at the tickets to read the name of the band. “I don’t have the time to attend a concert, nor do I care for crowds of screaming fans.”

He pushed his glasses up with his middle finger, still frowning at the other male. Kuzumi, huh? Well, it was only polite to introduce himself in return, right? In the bored tone of someone who had delivered this introduction more times than he cared to, Zether recited curtly, “Zether, first-year undeclared Mathematics major, from Goldenrod City, Johto.”

To his irritation, he noticed out of the corner of his eyes that a few people had stopped to stare at the pair. What was so unusual about two students chatting out in the open? Absolutely nothing. Somehow, he somehow managed to keep his gaze focused on the pair of startling blue eyes. This Kuzumi definitely seemed vaguely familiar, like someone Zether had passed by on occasions, but never really paid much attention to. But where had he seen this kid before?

“I don’t suppose you’re taking Music History 5, ‘History of Rock n’ Roll’, are you?” he asked, taking a stab at the possible GE class he might share with Kuzumi. “Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 P.M. with Professor Valdivia?

“If so, you do realize that you can ask some of the other students, right? Or if that doesn’t work, just sell those tickets online. Someone is bound to want them.” The look he gave the other student was one of mild exasperation; with how frequently people rely on the Internet these days, how could Kuzumi not have considered using it over… well, just asking random people?

Rock Band!AU

The request had been simple: the typical radio-jazz where the DJ goes “Name that band” and the winner gets concert tickets. And yet, four to five hours in on the channel, and still no one could name the band. There were callers carefully sprinkled between songs, and Kuzumi counted at least twenty-three viewers demanding for hints.

"There are no recorded lyrics!" People protested, apparently having attempted to look the songs up online.

"There are no videos!" Others whined, admitting to have looked things up on musicvids.everything.

"Who’s the band?!" All the callers asked, some more jovial than the majority.

Five hours. From half an hour before Kuzumi got to his morning class at seven, and still going as he got to lunch. It’ll go on for days, he told himself. Someone has to answer the question.

So here he was, now in possession of two concert tickets just because he knew some obscure band called Stay Royal. Here he was, looking around to find someone to pawn the tickets off to; how stupid of him to answer. Kuzumi needed to get rid of these things.

How was Kuzumi supposed to attend the concert as a fan?

There was a familiar face not too far, and the guy seemed alone for the moment. Not too busy, right? Maybe he’d like the tickets?

"Hey!" Kuzumi called out as he raised a hand for the other to see him. They never spoke before, what with being in mostly different classes for different majors, so this might be a good enough reason for Kuzumi to socialize. 

What was the guy’s name again? Ugh, why did Kuzumi have to be so bad with names?

"Dude by himself! Thomas maybe!" Oh god please be Thomas, or else Kuzumi just made himself sound like one hell of an ass.

Universities could be a pain in the arse with their inefficientlayout. While some universities had built their campuses in a circle, meaningthat one could reach any classroom from a dormitory within ten or fifteenminutes, this particular university had the bright idea of locating all the dormitories in a nearly isolated section of the campus. That meant it usually took around thirty minutes to walk from the dormitories to the classrooms.

Zether happened to have an hour’s worth of break between two classes. As much as he wanted to duck back into his room to avoid the other students, there simply wasn’t enough time to walk to his room, then back in time for his next class. All he could do was sit on top of one of the waist-high walls, tapping his foot in time with the beat of the music in his ears.

It was one of these times when he cursed his tendency to turn his music down on low volume- enough for him to hear, but too quiet for those partiers who insisted on cranking their music up so that everyone around could hear the songs blaring out from their earbuds- for he soon became aware of a shouting. For a moment, Zether was about ready to ignore it; after all, Thomas wasn’t his name, and wasn’t even close to it. But when the other student kept calling this ‘Thomas’ and waving, Zether heaved a sigh of annoyance, glancing up to see what in the world was keeping ‘Thomas’ from noticing this guy.

To his surprise, the redhead seemed to be waving and looking at him.

Just to make sure, Zether double-checked around him, but there was no one else that the student could possibly be talking to. And… well, to be fair, Zether was by himself…

“Wait… are you calling me ‘Thomas’?” The Mathematics student pushed his glasses up, frowning in puzzlement at the other male. Now that he thought about it, this student looked familiar… Possibly a classmate in one of Zether’s GE classes? “That… is not my name.”
