hey! i can answer this!
basically, most if not all gaza fundraising was happening on gofundme simply due to name recognition and brand trust. however, gofundme quickly proved itself to be actively complicit in the genocide through its targeting of palestinian fundraisers for deletion and suppression.
my own friend siraj lost over $27,000 he had painstakingly raised over several months when gofundme arbitrarily declared his previously verified fundraiser fraudulent. he instantly lost access to food and housing for his entire family and has not been able to regain that progress since.
by contrast, chuffed has basically never given gaza fundraisers any problems. it actively promotes palestine-related fundraisers on its front page.
chuffed has also been used by the sameer project, crips for esims for gaza, and other palestine orgs for over a year now. after a particularly bad wave of deletions (of which siraj was a victim) people began migrating their fundraisers to chuffed, and it's become the go-to host site for new crowdfunding campaigns.
so if you see a fundraiser on chuffed, that's why!
my friend siraj has since moved his fundraiser to chuffed. if you got something out of this post, please consider donating to him. he needs ~150 euros to afford food for his family.

thinking of revamping my rooksona HMMM... much to ponder. while the dynamic with teia/viago as a crow was interesting i just don't think being a crow suited my sona (i have beef with the crows whew) but it'd still be interesting to keep that connection to the crows somehow so i'm thinking he's a circle-runaway turned crow recruit, hated it and failed at that, then ran away again where eventually he landed a position w/ the mournwatchers as a receptionist-adjacent character..... yippee!!

Characters who choose death but are forced to live, my beloveds.
Characters who have to come to terms with a second chance at life they never asked for, my darlings.
Characters who move forward on the trembling legs of a newborn fawn through the overwhelming, blinding crush of an existence they fully forsook but which was thrust back upon their unwilling beings, my obsessions.

reject the western gaze!
mutual aid means no hierarchy between givers and receivers
a new mutual aid org, Bridge of Solidarity, has been established in the gaza strip by 17 year old poet yazan mohammed in response to the exploitative practices conducted by some charities and encouraged by the existing charity-based model of fundraising for gaza. according to BoS: "the western attention economy and pity economy plays a large role in who lives or dies in gaza." essentially, people need to make themselves marketable in order to receive lifesaving aid; people who are not marketable die. yazan himself wrote about the damage this can do to one's self image, which you can read here.
after trying for a year to respect his own privacy, my friend siraj was also pressured into posting images of his son's emaciated body in order to gain sympathy from westerners.
we cannot keep forcing people to do this anymore.
here's a declaration of their values from bridge of solidarity's most recent post:
Our organization is against the Western gaze. We refuse to humiliate people. We refuse to force people to take photos. We refuse to force people to take photos with our flyer or logo. People will receive aid freely without being forced to pose. We will respect people's privacy completely. Our principles include autonomy, dignity, sovereignty, mutual respect, and mutual aid.
this org will prioritize giving aid to people without phones or social media, who do not speak english, and who do not have outside support or living parents. these are the people who are not palatable to westerners but who deserve to live with as much dignity as everyone else
as of five days ago, BoS are working on a water truck delivery

I am making this post on behalf of Sami and his family who are currently suffering in Gaza. Please consider donating to their fundraiser if you have the means or circulating their link -- any help is beautiful. They are currently at 78% of their fundraising goal and I'd love to see them hit 80% in the next few days!
DONATE HERE.
Sami wrote this:
"In Gaza, many are like this withered plant… Children who have lost their strength, mothers battling hunger and cold, and fathers who have lost everything, waiting for a compassionate hand to reach out to them. Just like in this picture... A child cries over her nearly dead plant until a kind hand waters it, and it blooms again. We too need that hand to give us life.
Your donation today saves not just one person, but an entire family who has survived death repeatedly. Every minute we face death, not only from bombings but also from malnutrition and weak immunity. Your gift is a drop of water to quench the thirsty, medicine to ease the sick, and shelter to protect a family from the cold. Support our family— we cannot survive without your help."

I don't see anyone here talking about this brand, so I'd like to recommend Muzzy to dollblr! I just received my first doll– the Palestinian Mina– and I'm obsessed. They're very soft and cuddly and EXTREMELY cute!
Muzzy was started in 2021 by an American Muslim couple who wanted to provide a good role model and good representation for their children. Mina is their first doll, a Palestinian-American girl who just turned thirteen and got her new hijab, which magically changes color based on her experiences and emotions; multi-colored hijabs are also available separately. While she's the only doll so far, their FAQ lists that they plan to drop a black doll (presumably her friend Luna) and a boy doll sometime this year.
Specifically the Palestinian Mina doll– with a kuffiyeh and tatreez dress– donates 100% of its net proceeds to the HEAL Palestine charity. This is the doll I purchased, and she's very high quality, very sweet, and extremely lovable and huggable. Mina is also a very adorable character as well, and I adore her picture book illustrations.
I know I'm mostly followed by American Girl fans, but if you're looking for any Palestinian dolls, any Muslim dolls, or just something sweet to cuddle up with, give Mina a look!

I am making this post on the behalf of Sami and his family -- Gazans currently suffering from hunger and violence.
Sami says:
"Imagine starting your childhood carrying your little brother on your back instead of a schoolbag. Imagine your first lesson in life being not about games or dreams, but about survival and responsibility. In Gaza, many children grow up too soon, not because they want to, but because war has left them no choice.
These children have never tasted safety. They've lost their homes, their families, and their innocence. Some became orphans in a single night, standing in the ruins of everything they once loved. And yet, even after all the pain, their hearts still beat with hope and kindness.
This is my life, and the life of my family, in the heart of Gaza. Displaced, surrounded by destruction, and living under constant threat, we cling to each other and to life with whatever strength we have left. When someone from Gaza speaks to you, it is not just a story—it’s a cry for help."
Please consider supporting Sami's fundraiser, found here.

Please support this initiative! For every $10, SIHA Network is able to provide one menstrual hygiene kit for a Sudanese woman or girl. That is a small amount to pay for an incredibly powerful donation.
Donate directly at the link below.
(I found this charity from this tweet. The price for menstrual hygiene kits seems to have gone up since it was written.)
