okay so wait a hot minute, somehow it didn’t register to me that Sebastian says Ciel is going to Brighton as a gentleman?? That strikes me as choosing not to go undercover… unless they come up with something really convincing.

Truth be told, I was getting worried Yana would have Ciel go undercover as a girl (the third and potentially final situation where he’d have to wear a dress for a mission - yes I’ve had nothing to do but overthink and overfret for years!). So I’m glad at least that he’ll be going as himself so I can see him and not a wig. Except… will he really just be going as himself?

My pie-in-the-sky wish was that he would have to intermix two disguises: that of a noble and that of a bellhop. With luck Sebastian would have to pretend as well. This way we could get moments of growth for each of them as both Ciel and Sebastian must teach each other how to act convincingly.

I won’t be very satisfied if Ciel goes as a noble and Sebastian as a concierge. They both need to struggle! And while I’m on my soapbox, noble Ciel should have to pretend to be noble Sebastian’s son because it would be funny and potentially emotional for them…? Just give us some drama, Yana!!
