Really, it was only the mention of Achilles that convinced her to give aid to the stranger; he might’ve known better what she and her people had to suffer at the hands of the Colonials, sure, but that didn’t mean that their interests were the same. If he was an assassin as her old friend was, however, they would be in this case, and therefore the man could get what he needed.
“If you want to call the trafficking ‘trading.’ “ Ziio stood, eyeing the man a bit closer. “I have been working to put a stop to it, yes. Since Achilles has sent you, how may I help you?”

↳ He was taken back somewhat at her words, so much for the element of surprise. Well no point in continuing to remain silent. He felt somewhat dumbfound seeing as the fellow Colonial mentor mention his contact was native, Mohawk. Still this was not the first time Henry had sought out help from local tribes, yet he knew the customs where no doubt different from the Shoshone ( Don’t act like an idiot his ally had said ) “No, forgive me. Achilles had sent me, he thought you knew of the trading within there parts? Mainly the trafficking.”

All that was given as her final response was a nod before the woman headed off to do her task, of which there was countless ways to complete. The best to draw the most soldiers away from the chest in question was easily to steal and fire one of their muskets, but whether she could do so and remain largely unseen or not...
It was too risky. In the end, her best overall option would be to string up an unsuspecting soldier and sneak out of the area. Seeing as though the hanged soldier wasn’t immediately noticed, her task wasn’t as difficult as she planned upon it being, and it wasn’t too terribly long before Ziio was back to where she’d last spoken to Xeha.
“It should not be too much longer before you can gather your things.”

Xeha watched as Ziio took stock of all that was going on around them. She sat silently until spoken to, so she wouldn’t be distracting. There were too many people around to just outright attack them, so Ziio’s plan seemed like a good one, even if it put her in harm’s way temporarily. She could handle herself. Xeha nodded. “Yes Ma’am, and thank you.” She shifted a bit, so she was more comfortable, but still well hidden.

{ @hiddenezio wanted a starter }

“Thank you for that.” Not that she’d really needed assistance in the first place, but there was no real need to be rude when it seemed as though this man had genuinely just been trying to help. “But I need to be leaving now.”

Ziio couldn’t help but to smile at that. How frequent was it that whomever she had to escort didn’t complain about the lack of horses? Not frequently enough, that was for certain. “At the moment, there is six recruits, myself, and Connor. We are small, but Connor single-handedly does the work of ten.” Not that she wasn’t biased on the subject.

“ It’s nothing to worry about really - my locality reserves horses for military purposes, so we take to our feet - like how the perfect Assassin should be. Tell me, how well off is your local guild? ”

“My name is Kaniehtí:io; I am one of the area’s assassins.” Satisfied with her observations of the man, she turned to lead him away from the city; Davenport was still some distance away, and they needed to get moving. “I hope you do not mind walking a little; I did not bring horses.”

“ Ah yes, that would be me. By that question, you’ve given me answers, but there is one I would like to know - who might you be ? ”

“You are the member from Constantinople?” The woman’s eyes scanned him closely, looking for signs to point that he was. Little was the percent that she was wrong, but she preferred to be doubly certain. “Connor told me to await your arrival here.”

“So are you going to say something or just stand there like bait?” Finishing setting her snare, the woman stood and turned to face the man. She’d sensed him some time ago, but he’d not done anything, and she’d been busy. “I have a few more snares to set, if that was what you were doing.”

torewindtime replied to your post: “I think I can handle it.”
“…You do have a point.” She admitted after a moment. “What do you suggest I do then?”
Formulating a plan of attack proved to be relatively difficult, and, for a moment, she studied the soldiers below, watching every movement they made for some sort of tell. To attack directly would be risky, even with the pair utilizing an ambush and Ziio’s experience. If there as something to pull their attention away, however...
“... Remain here; I will move further north and draw them to the east. Once their eyes are off the chest, climb down and gather your things.”

“Are you comfortable there? It does not look like an opportune place to rest from my perspective.”
Women unconscious out in the middle of the frontier were about as common as a white stag; it generally just didn’t happen. And although Ziio needed to be home about now, she couldn’t have just left whomever this was to the metaphorical and literal wolves, leaving staying the only viable option.

Studio Ghibli Sentence Meme
{ Accepting }
“To think and to know are two greatly different truths.” Pressing the matter further than that was something that Ziio didn’t see as particularly useful; more often than not, people would be stuck in their own stubbornness. Meaning, that whether they truly could do as they claimed would only become apparent after they’d fallen on their face. For now, all she could do was trust.
