War on Climate Change
4 posts
Climate change is our enemy, and in order to defeat it, we need to mobilise like we did in WWII. This project uses old war posters to inspire new ones, using a mix of photography and design, with climate change messages.

Complete victory if you waste less bread!
Every day in the UK we throw away over 20 million whole slices of bread! Help make your bread last longer by freezing it and then just popping a slice in the toaster when you want toast!
Did you know that if food wastage were a country, it would be the third largest emitting country in the world after the USA and China??
Consider other ways you can reduce the amount of food you waste - are you buying too much? What else can be frozen and used later? Do you understand expiration dates? For tips and tricks to reduce your food waste check out Love Food Hate Waste!

Keep your carbon footprint clean
This poster is based on a WWII poster calling for soldiers to keep their feet clean to prevent the spread of gangrene (as far as I can tell).
Do you know how much carbon you emit in your day-to-day life? Go to https://footprint.wwf.org.uk to find out your carbon footprint and get tips on how to reduce it.
* note: individual climate action is obviously important, and we should do everything we can to reduce our carbon footprints, but without collective system change, there is no way we can avoid climate breakdown. Vote for politicians with strong climate policies, campaign for issues you want to fight for and make your voice heard by the government and large organisations! System change not climate change!
