Is Ozura more of a catboy or a dogboy?

((I dunno if there's supposed to be a specific connotation here that I'm unaware of? Is there a specific definition of catboy and dogboy you have in mind? Like I don't know exactly what you mean by this.

But I see him kinda like a feral cat where he has a hard time warming up to people, will probably hiss at you if you try to touch him, and is food motivated because he hasn't had proper nutrition in years))

"This is nothing compared to some of the things I've seen," Ozura said. He'd faced harsher challenges before, though it didn't lessen the difficulty of now. It was just a different kind of harsh. His hand gripped his sword tighter, pushing down the slightly sick feeling from the rich stench of blood. He tried to reach out his mind to see where to go, but he couldn't see beyond their current room. Though he could tell there were enemies beyond the next door. "There's eight outside the door. I don't believe they know we're here just yet."

What is your opinion on the human race?

"They are wretched, arrogant creatures. On more than one occasion other humans have attacked me or abandoned me to die purely for being an abhuman. I've lost count of how many times I was left to die on Atoma. They find fault or blame in what they don't understand. Mortal humans do not care for those that are different.

"It's why I've found comfort and solace among post-humans and my Primarch and even the animals in the sanctuary aboard the Ursa Major. They do not see my mere existence as a threat. They see my life as a blessing.

"As much as I want to say that it's not all humans that wish me or people like me harm; we don't know what they will do. At least, not unless they become close to us. So it's safer to assume the worst. It's saved my life more than once. Humanity can burn. I owe them nothing."

What are your views on xenos?

"I never would have said it back when I was with the Inquisition, but since I'm now part of the Stars Repentant; I feel more kinship with some of them more than I do humanity. I would very much like to speak with the Eldar some day." He pauses a moment looking down at his hand. "I have been told my psychic sensitivity boarders on that of an Eldar. Perhaps I can learn from them."

((So I want to mention this because it's been a little discouraging. I don't mind getting asks and I don't mind people asking questions that get more information from the muse about previous asks, threads, other muses, or interactions. But my problem comes when I'm getting the same questions about the same thing over and over or something that Ozy has talked about in length. I don't mind if it's questions asking something else about the topic to get specifics Ozy hasn't mentioned before, but when it's the same question every time it gets frustrating. This isn't about any one incident or anything. It's just something I noticed that's becoming a pattern. And it's a little discouraging when he brings up something that he hasn't talked about before but no one seems to take genuine interest unless it directly involves their muse. And I want people to care and be interested in Ozura outside of threads and things he's got going on. Maybe it's cause he's an OC or because people aren't actually interested in him idk))

"I don't really like thinking about it, but I will tell you."

Ozura sighed, taking a deep breath.

"He showed me Terra burning. It was burned to ash and black glass. Everything was gone. Nothing was left. No one but the Emperor survived. I could see it all burn..."

"I will not. Maybe you need a firm reminder of your failures to see that is exactly what you're doing to the Blessed Saint. You say you're here to keep an eye on Him and the legion so we don't make the mistakes of the past. Isn't that just a constant reminder of the failing in our past too?" The librarian scoffed, his hand gripping his staff so tight it almost started to warp the metal.

"You really don't know anything about Lord Aurelius," Ozura said firmly. "Do you even know why He came back to the Imperium? Do you know why He's even putting in the effort to reconcile with an empire that nearly destroyed Him and His kin? Do you know why He did what He did back in the Crusade? Because I have seen it! I know Him! I am His confidant and loyal son!"

The mortal's eyes flashed a glowing blue with his rising frustration.

"I've seen visions of Him during the Crusade. I've seen what He was like. You call Him reckless and passionate, but it's not in the way you understand it. He was stoic and silent as well, but He spoke up when it counted most. He went against you Corpse God when He knew it would harm the Imperium and the chances for humanity to survive. He saw what would happen when the Rangda Genocide would destroy the chances for the Imperium to learn and grow from their aid. He knew it would cripple us, but that bastard you call an Emperor would not listen!

"He did everything He could out of love and desperation for His people and His sons! The only reason He even came back to this wretched empire is for His sons and His only surviving family He has left! Because He wants them to live! He wants them to thrive! He wants to do what is best and right for them and for Lord Guilliman! He's trying to do everything He can for humanity, to keep them safe and protect them! Just like He always has!"

“What is it Astartes?” The guilded guard says as he looks to the librarian who approached. The custodian was alone, as if he was waiting.

There was a mild look of confusion that crossed his face. No one had ever called him that before. Sure, he held the title of librarian but no one ever addressed him as such. He did not have any of the augmentation or enhancement of a normal astartes since he was too old and his body was too fragile to handle it. Among the Stars Repentant they simply called him Brother Ozura or The Diviner.

"I was told you were here so I became curious," Ozura said. That was only partially true. He'd also caught a glimpse of the custodian in a vision. The librarian didn't sound as unsure or hesitant as he had when he had spoken with Atticus back on Atoma. A lot of things had changed in the months since he'd left.

The staff in his hand thumped softly against the deck as he moved closer, the blue auramite of his fingers wrapped around it.

"So what brings you to the Ursa Major, Captain General?" He doubted it was about Ozura faking his own death to leave the inquisition and join a legion of newly unbanished space marines. "If you have come to see Lord Aurelius then you're out of luck. He is currently on Macragge for business with Lord Guilliman."

Ozura wouldn't exactly have called it "business" as much as it was checking in on his younger brother.

Why are you afraid of the Emperor?

"I am afraid for the same reasons that other psykers fear Him. The Imperium takes us from our homes and families. They whisk us away on black ships to determine if we'll be of threat to them. If they find us useful, they collar us like dogs and force us to work and do unimaginable things. And if we have no value or deemed too dangerous? Our souls are given to Him to fuel him. We're fed to him to keep him alive. Our minds and souls are trapped within his consciousness. We are prisoners even in death; unwilling slaves to His own trapped consciousness.

"It doesn't matter which form He takes. It's all the same. One has nearly killed me by sending me a vision of the death of Terra. Another nearly killed me by trying to be kind and return my unconscious body to the Mourningstar. All but twenty psyker, including myself, died from His sheer presence alone. And we had all suffered irreparable damage. The souls of those that died still haunt me and blame me for their deaths.

"The Golden Lord of Lies deserves no praise nor respect from me. All I can feel is fear and hatred and contempt."

Ozy sighed, visibly relaxing and slumping down in his seat a little. "Oh good. It's only physics then."

After a moment he got up to find a cloth to clean up whatever was on the table. "Sorry, I didn't mean to shout," he said a few moments later.
