Ok! Hunter x Hunter sort-of soulmate au:

So basically, nen is the same except when you awaken your nen, you are bonded to a partner. Whoever tries to awaken first awakes the other as well. They will then be struck by the image of the other and be compelled to meet, no matter how far away they are.

The partners are basically two sides of the same coin. They balance each other out and fill each other’s weaknesses. The bond can be romantic, platonic, or a rivalry, but the partners have a bond so deep that if one dies, the other can no longer use nen. They can feel each others’ pain to a certain extent as well. Partners who have been bonded for decades can sense each others’ emotions to a certain extent.

The nen partners are strongest when physically touching each other, and very weak when separated by a large distance. More powerful nen users can be farther from their partners, but it is still better to be together. More emotional intimacy makes both stronger.

If I specifically was the one writing it, I would make Gon and Killua platonic nen partners, Kurapika and Leorio romantic nen partners, and Chrollo and Hisoka rival nen partners, but really the au could work for any ship/friendship/rivalry.

but when he lived back on his island he could see the stars so clearly and he loved laying on the ground with Pairo staring up at them, however when he moved he could no longer see them due to light pollution of the city etc etc, and it's one of the things he misses so dearly about home.

If you wanna add some leopika to this, then Kurapika told Leorio about this, one day when Leorio was shopping he saw those glow in the dark star ceiling stickers and decided to get them. Kurapika loved it and put them on his ceiling, naming every star after someone in the village, he made Pairo the most noticeable star (or a moon idk), and put his parents stars really close together, saying they watch over him. every night before he goes to sleep he looks up at the stars. Sometimes he will tell them about his day, sometimes he will say he's sorry for his actions, or sometimes he'll tell them how much he misses them.

HxH Waffle House AU

So my friend and I who are both former WH waitresses were talking about Waffle House AUs as one does and it got me thinking about a HxH Waffle House AU.

Number One! Most Waffle House Employee ever is my boy Leorio!

Leorio has Fry Cook energy! He be yelling at Tonpa "I told you to drop 9 waffles! 9 not 7! I'm missing two waffles because of you!"

Hear me out. He's tall and loud. 100% has come to work hungover. He's damn good at his job. He's working to put himself though med school. He picks up the other employees with his beat up second hand car when they need a ride. Reliable good cook Leorio. The OG who is also always 5mins late Leorio. My boy.

Kurapika is New Shiny Manager. Bisky the old and perfect manger who ran things her way not waffle house way has retired and New Boy just got out of Waffle House college and did not work his way up Kurapika is in charge now.. He's young, arrogant, makes you do things by the book and is unfairly good at every position in the store. Kurapika and Leorio butting heads and forced to cook together Sunday morning because they are the only ones that can handle the workload.

Gon got this job because Mito is a waitress there. Mito is one of the good long time waitress that works 1st shift.

This is Gon's first job and he tries so hard. Keeps having to get help on the register and messes up orders at first, but no one minds because he's insanely helpful. He'll do everyone's side work, remembers all the customers names, watch your table for you. Sweet kid. Never takes breaks. Mostly works second shift after school when it's slow. He's great at prep work. If Leorio has the time he will show him how to cook.

Killua joins because of Gon of course. Maybe he was a customer at first or maybe he needs cash after running away from his family. Either way Gon shows him the ropes and he's a good waiter (Always remembers the orders), but has to be stopped from getting into fights with customers.(He does not take shit) He hates hairnets and ends up hosting on the weekends just because that's the job that does not make you wear a hairnet. Killua is the go to person to toss out customers.

On Christmas Gon is banished to the dish pit and Killua is forced on register.

By the book Kurapika is actually the most feral. If a customer starts a fight he finishes it. Has thrown a chair at a customer before.

The phantom troupe wants to hang out in the parking lot and sell drugs which is what lead to Kurapika having a knife fight in the parking lot.
