OMG!!! Genuine EM International journal!!!

OMG! Just look what I found!!! 😍️😍️ I really found the journal-version from which the prop in the series was made after! ❤️❤️❤️ Unfortunately again "only" the 6-ring-version - but still!!! It's really almost exactly the same! I was so lucky to find that! Isn't that just amazing??

I just love it, it is nothing but beautiful! Just look at it - it just looks like the journal from the series! 😍️

Finally!!! Chan Luen Hing!

Wohooo! I finally was able to get a genuine original of the vintage joss label which was used in the journal! Yay!!! ❤️ Isn’t it absolutely beautiful???

Thanks so much to Andy, who was so kind to sell it to me, even it was the only one in his own collection! I totally love it! ❤️ Andy is a collector of old chinese labels and really knows a lot about it. He also wrote two books, which you can buy - they contain many amazing pictures of old beautiful labels:

He also told me incredibly interesting facts about the Chan Luen Hing joss label and allowed me to share this to all of you:

Chan Luen Hing was one of the more prominent joss stick companies from the early 1900s through the late twentieth century. The portrait depicts the company’s founder.

This label depicts a stylized building entrance, complete with a glimpse into the main floor where business can be seen taking place. This was a popular style in the early-mid 20th century. This label even shows a second and third floor balcony. In fact, the “178” was the street number for the company’s Macau branch, located at 178 October 5th Street.

The border ornamentation was rendered in a traditional style, and depicts the Eight Immortals, well known mythological figures who’s depiction was popular on all kinds of items.

The birds on the top of the border are cranes, symbolizing longevity and good things in general. Although they look like chickens, the birds at the bottom are mandarin ducks, symbolic of love and fidelity.

It is significant that your label lists Macau as the company’s location. Older versions of this label list the location as “Macao China”. When the communists took control of China in 1949, several countries banned the import of products from the mainland, and so many companies of all kinds either went out of business, moved to Hong Kong or Macau, or simply deleted “China” from their product labels. This would indicate that your label was most likely made about 1950, or maybe slightly later.

Wohoo! Tapestry in the Jerusalem Chamber!

Yay! I finally found the original vintage postcard which is used in the journal!!! =D

I was able to get the whole original postcard set which this one was part of. These sets were first sold back in November 1935! That’s just awesome! ❤️

I think in the original prop they used a print as well. In different screencaps you can see that the front motive is used on both sides of the card - or, for even more fun from the prop department, it's just upside down...:

Also I found a vintage real photograph set, where the postcard motive was used as well:

Couldn’t find out the exact date, but I think it could be from the 1930s as well.

Aren’t these just beautiful? =) I’m so happy I finally found it!!! ❤️

Holy Water

I found two auctions recently where they were selling two holy water bottles, which were used in the show. After a little search I was able to find the exact matches:

The left one is a vintage one which contains genuine holy water from the St. Anthony Shrine in Pittsburgh =) The right one is a new one.

I think I have to change the place for them again. They are a little pressed for space like that.

If anyone knows in which episodes they are appearing, please let me know! ;)

The famous final scene...

So I watched the finale episode of the show 😥😔 and I still can’t believe it’s finally really over...

But: they showed us the journal for a last time! With new pages! ❤

Not the best cap, so I wasn’t able to find out what it says yet. I’ll have it at the latest when I got the blu-ray ;) I’ll definitely let you know here when I do! =)

Royal Jamaica

Finally found the correct Royal Jamaica cigar box, which was used in the show for some IDs and Badges =)

Took me long to find the Coronas-box (funny right now, I know...) - mostly you find the “Royal Coronas”, “Coronas Grandes” or the “Petit Coronas”. The regular Coronas box seem to be pretty rare ;)

Now I just need to make the correct IDs from the box ;)

Supernatural Zippo Collection

I actually didn’t mean to collect the Zippos from the show, but the one with the medieval cross came to me for a price I couldn’t resist ;)

I saved some reference pictures of the episodes they were shown, but my computer broke and I couldn’t get it fixed yet 😭😭😭 So unfortunately I can’t add them here and share...

World Wide SuberRib

FINALLY found out about the correct binder mechanism used in the prop!! =D

On these here:

You see a little writing on the left - not very good to read.

It really took me a while to decipher that this says SuperRib and a little research showed that it is also from the brand World Wide.

Also on this one there are these little stacks before and after of every of the three rings:

I’m not sure if this exact kind is used in every single prop of the show, but I’m pretty sure it’s the one used in the one shown above ;)

In my replica:

The ring size itself should be 1.25″ I think. But no guarantee... Hope this helps everyone who makes one themselves =)

Best medicine

If I feel very low again, my SPN props really are one of the best medicine I could imagine to feel better and stronger immediately =) Just imagine how much strength and energy boxes with supernatural content must have ;D

And like my friend @impalababydean67 just said when I asked her how someone could feel so happy about some junk, she answered “Because it’s the most awesome junk in the world!” ;D

Finally found the what I think accurate tab pages used in the journal. Once again not the easiest to get in Germany - and the shipping even got worse in the current situation... There are altogether three: April, August and December.

Jerome Studios

By now I found three different Jerome photo folders with the correct front. Just the back shows different words and photo sizes. That’s very interesting! =) And I’m totally addicted to this vintage beauties ❤️

Bobby’s Hexbag

...to shield you from demon radar.

Finally got all the ingredients for it ;) On it's tie there is a tiny bell - ghosts love all kinds of bells and rattles.

And don’t worry: I waited long enough to be absolutely sure that the baby spiders won’t hatch anymore before I carefully removed the eggs - I would NEVER do that when there is a chance that this little cuties are still alive! So please, if you make your own hex bag, do the same! ( @impalababydean67​: if you need help with anything related to spiders - I’m here for you ;D ) The chicken bones are from one of my aunts roosters, who unfortunately got sick and had to be released in the end... But he had a very good and happy life in freedom before and he was loved by her =)

Commercial Cable Telegram

Finally found original blanks of the correct antique Postal Telegram which is used in the journal ;)

They are from Clarence H. Mackay / The Mackay System and back from the 1930s or 1940s:
