  Psyche hadn’t meant to watch for so long, crouched behind a bush as a human worked in the clearing. But it wasn’t an ordinary thing they were doing here. They were .. drawing or writing something down, and every time they touched it, something would happen. A ball of light would appear, a burst of flame, a reaching vine— ( those tended to nearly fall and crush the girl almost every time, and each time the vampire had to suppress a scream of fright, if she didn’t want to get caught. ) There were plenty more magics that were casted, and each one enamored the girl in the bush, one dead eye sparkling in wonder.

  A small gust of wind picked up as the stranger pulled out another sheet, and before they had a good grasp on it, the wind took it from them and tossed it into a bush.   That would’ve usually been a normal inconvenience, had it not been the very bush Psyche had buried theirself in. The little paper stopped right in front of their nose, and a silent panic started racing throughout their body. How were they gonna run quick enough to not be spotted? Surely the rustling would be too noticeable, and the human girl would notice!    Before they could reach any plausible course of action however, her long ears twitched as the sound of footsteps quickly approached, leaves crunching loudly under their shoes as they leaned down for the note. And met face to face with the vampire in the bush.

  Psyche immediately let out a small shriek of surprise and shoved theirself backwards, the branches of the bush scratching her up as they tumbled out the bush and onto their back with a audible ‘OOF!’.

“ Whatchu talkin’ about Simon? I'm baaad , cuz imma demon AND a vampire. Lemme see ‘em throw a punch at me, come on. ”

* FUN FACT : Psyche legit smells like a half-rotted body and I’m sorry to anyone with a heightened sense of smell, and they are also sorry. Well, they would be if they could smell theirself-

* but, if you can get past that first initial stench, she also smells like a standard forest dweller would ; dirt, pine needles, grass after the rain. and a littleee bit of wet dog. Not her fault, blame Perun. Even if he’s more shadow than fur, he still gets a bit smelly …

“ G-Go away! ”  The girl gasped as bare feet scrambled backwards upon dead leaves, their dead eye wide in genuine fear as it looks up at the strange man. Her gaze shoots around the clearing, looking for a way out, anything. The discomfort had already turned into a burning rock in their stomach, and all that was on their mind was escape.

  Unfortunately, the rain from this morning still sat upon the ground, and in her desperate rush to get away from the stranger the ground slipped from underneath them, feet flinging into the air as she lands HARD on her rear with a yelp of both surprise and pain.  Their breath quickens into a panicked panting, and with one last look at the other, she holds her arms over her face- seemingly trying to make themself smaller. They couldn’t bite back their whimpering, and they squeezed their eyes shut.   She prayed to the gods that he’d be gone, whenever they’d open their eyes again.

* so basically Perun is a sort of guardian for Psyche ever since she was resurrected— partly because he was responsible for it in the first place. There wasn’t really any reason for it, it was just something that ... happened. Though I am tempted to say that, maybe he witnessed the witch hunt when it happened & saw their death happen. Maybe he felt bad for their fate and wanted to give them another chance at life?? I’m not sure yet-

* Regardless, he cares for Psyche a great deal, so much so that he actually regards them like they’re his own pup in a sense. When she’s weak, he’s more than willing to hunt & care for them. And god forbid anyone actually messes with Psyche while he’s around, cause theyre gettin MAULED.

* uh uh uhhh im runnin out of steam so have some more pre-written info about Perun!
