SCOTLAND FOREVAAAAA

Pine Marten with Loch Lomond going down the body, thistles framing top and bottom, and Kilt Pins on either side. Also thorns and barbed wire for most of the framing, wich has nothing to do with Scotland, I just liked how it looked.

Weasel-posting presents....weasel trinkets?

That's right I collect more than plush here!! Various mustelid memoriabilia I've purchased or made throughout the years (mostly made)

Purchased items include: Safari LTD weasel and river otter figure, LPS #482 and #880, Little Critters otter ceramic, oshawott and dewott figures. I tend not to count Pokémon towards my mustelid collection but they look nice here. Also a stoat skull I have a stoat skull in the stoat box

I've also got ceramic creatures of the LARGE VARIETY!! I've posted my least weasel in the past but never my giant river otter (who is ironically smaller). They live off of my shelf because my parents enjoy them

Definitely a lot smaller than my plush collection but still fun regardless. I'd like to get more figures in the future but I can't find many in person and buying online means a shipping price about equal to the listing price sometimes...the cost of wanting to play withtoys

Still Broke, Still E-Begging

So! A year of jobhunting has produced no results. Me, my partner, and my mother are living off of my mother's once-monthly disability check. We have housing through her volunteer position, which gets us a roof, water, and electricity, but we're on the hook for everything else.

Right now our main two bills are rent for a Storage Unit containing all of our belongings, and a bundled wifi/phone bill. We are currently short on both.

We need $65 asap for the unit rent, otherwise they'll lock us out and auction all our belongings, which includes everything I have left of my grandmother who passed in 2022.

We need an additional $135 by May 12th, or we'll lose both phone and internet service.

We thankfully have groceries for ourselves and our 5 cats, but this is an emergency and we have no other way of making up the money quickly. Every penny helps 🙏

Some photographs of my second newest mustelid, who is not yet named! I've actually had them for about a month now but hadn't had the chance to photograph them until now

Plush ID: Aurora Classics ferret (+Aurora Miyoni Classic ferret at the end)

Bonus picture at the end of them next to my newer Aurora ferret Sable, it's interesting to see and feel the manufacturing differences between the two of them. Texture-wise Sable is much softer while our new friend is a bit more coarse! Definitely not an unpleasant coarse though, they are very holdable :-)

I wonder what it's like to have an animality that is too big for your physical body vs one that's too small. In general, mine is kinda on the too small side but more in weight than length though both are actually lacking. So my physical body takes up too much space, more than it rightly should, and my animality kinda rattles around in it, in a way. Weasel war dancing, bouncing off the walls, entertaining itself in a container that is ill fitting. But what about those who have an animality bigger than their corporeal form? how do you cope when the present you is too small for what it ought to be? I am the weird space between tayra and wolverine, both and beyond, but what about those who are far larger? what is it like to be a moose, a whale, a rhinoceros, any megafauna from any part of time.

Finally getting around to posting about this plush I got last month! She sure is a...ferret?? Okay I love with how vague she looks, she's probably the second funniest plush in my collection. If I handed her to 5 different people without the tag I'm sure they'd all have different guesses. She's an animal <3

On one hand I do like the term stuffed animal a little more than plush (mainly because I collect only animals really) but on the other I'm ALSO into taxidermy and my mind always wanders to that first
