Your hands shake but only when you're never looking at them and your smile is so ever-present you can't help but wonder if its fake, wonder how much of you is real. You're a caretaker, but are you even good at that, or are you faking yourself out into believing you're something that you wish you could, someone that someone else needed you to be when you were small and so full of need and hope and fragility? Who are you underneath the need to be someone's home? Who are you when you come home to yourself?

during act 1 of bg3, jeremy sends a couple letters off to his pack via bird friends (ranger) to let them know he's alive (for now) and that he's uh. dealing with some stuff. he knows they won't get the letters immediately, but it makes him feel a bit better. in one of the last ones he sends in act 1, he tells them that they are going to the cult headquarters where they will hopefully get this sorted out (he does not tell them where it is, as he doesn't want to risk them going there themselves if he dies) and if everything goes according to plan, he'll head to baldurs gate before making his way back home.

(of course, things don't go exactly to plan, but close enough?)

but this results in, at some point during act 3, while the gang is running around the city. jeremy runs into antonio, a member of his pack and most importantly - jeremy's husband.

“Oh, did you?” he says as if this is new information he is learning just now. He takes a sip of his own coffee and hums slightly. “I mustn't have heard you. My hearing isn’t what it used to be. Old age takes its toll.” he may sound serious and genuine, but his lips are pulled up in a smile and a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. Clearly he had heard Freya’s request last night but had elected to ignore it. He’s sure she would have expected him to do such as well.

He smiles as he dishes up some pancakes, putting enough for a filling breakfast on the plate for her and places it down in front of her, along with a bowl of some fruit and maple syrup to go on top of them. “It would be indeed. Only a fool would turn down any of Antonio’s cooking; why one would want to deprive themselves of such culinary masterpieces, I do not know.”

jeremy being a werewolf isn't something he hides from the party. he will be open about it probably from first meeting. it might even be something seen in a tadpole connection. he will be a bit more choosey about mention that he's the alpha of his pack; just as a safety thing mainly to protect his pack. however he doesn't introduce himself as a werewolf to every single person they meet.

She allowed herself a quick look over her shoulder, into the crowd, spotting nothing unusual, but well aware this was not a reason to believe the other had lied about potential problems. for jer's bg3 verse, i'm kinda home brewing his werewolf stuff, so here's a little bullet point list of the way his werewolfisms work in this verse

he's technically a lythari (born werewolf elf) but his pack also involves bitten werewolves

like wotow werewolves, i'm saying that these werewolves have to transform semi-regularly for a variety of reasons. the more regularly you transform, the more control over your werewolfisms you have

unlike wotow werewolves, i'm gonna also tie them to the full moon <3 the full moon is a night where they have to transform and fighting that transformation is a bad idea.

when tadpoled, he still has his werewolf strength and speed, however the tadpole blocks a full transformation. he could, in theory, transform his hand enough to get claws, but the full wolf transformation is blocked. which as time progresses, it makes him grumpy. especially if a full moon passes and the transformation is still blocked. on that night it would be best to avoid him.

the shadowcursed lands also blocks out the moon, so he is also grumpy there. the only place that feels somewhat okay to his wolf would be at last light inn, only bc of isobel's shield.
