*Weavel lets out a sigh as he shakes his head, letting his arms fall to his sides*
You do remember that she was trying to kill us, right? Ugh, jeez, I don’t even know what to believe anymore. Let’s just... go before I start thinking about this again.

*While Weavel holds out his arms in a way that practically exudes rage, his voice only indicates mild annoyance, most of it having already been vented.*
How come everyone sees my attempts to make the Federation better and paints it as ass kissing or ‘idolatry’ like having morals is so fucking reprehensible? I want to help Urtraghus as much as I want to help the Federation. But you assholes wouldn’t understand anything about selflessness, now would you?
*Finally, Weavel crosses his arms, staring toward Spire.*
So. Aurora Units are rebelling. Some bitch with a robot army has been stalking us and finally captured Samus and some kid after we destroyed a secret base with one of those rebellious AUs. I don’t know where the others are. Are you helping or no?

*When Weavel meets Spire’s gaze, he’s literally taken aback, stepping back slightly as he stares at the diamont. After a second, he turns to Alaina, grabbing her rather forcefully by the arm and yelling into her face*
Are you fucking with me!? He’s one of your damn contacts!? You expect this guy to help Samus and a bunch of asshats deal with a Federation betrayal and some bitch with robots when he’s too busy... sleepwalking through shit, listening to mystical dickwad lies about his dead race...
*He seems to catch his breath, in a sense, glancing back toward Spire finally and pointing toward him.*
The fact that you’re even here, of all places, tells me something about how far you’ve fallen.

*Weavel is abruptly woken up by a small jolt as his ship comes to a stop. It takes him a minute to realize that in the span of time he was asleep, his ship had been towed all the way back to Dark Star. He looks back from the pilot seat, finding Alaina still there.*
... Shit, I was hoping you’d be gone by now.
*He stands up, looking down at the gladiator, letting out a sigh as though already regretting what he’s about to say.*
This is seriously the shittiest place in the whole galaxy, but... let’s go find your supposed band of mercenaries.

*Weavel draws his gun, firing a single low-powered, merely irritating Volt Driver shot toward Alaina before his arm again falls limp beside him.*
Samus is a murderer, no better than the Pirates. I'll go back for everyone that was on Okeana except her.
And how exactly does trying to fix the Federation's mistakes make me an ass kisser? I accept that they're terrible, but it's arguably the least awful civilization in the galaxy. You're just mad that you've never done anything worthwhile in your life. You just hide in your little arena, pretending the rest of the world doesn't exist.

*Weavel shifts his weight slightly, though he still remains sitting on the floor.*
Hah! Your crew? If you have to force people to work for you out of fear, you can’t call them your crew. And, I’m still a bounty hunter. Despite Samus’s wonderful example, it is actually possible to be a bounty hunter and still have morals.
*He looks away for a moment, having mentioned Samus, and now being faced with the concept that he is, in part, venturing to save her.*

*Weavel lets his head drop down for a moment as he retracts his scythe. When he looks back up at Alaina, his voice turns quiet and ominous.*
Of course you want to retreat, you soulless coward. You'd just be okay with leaving everyone behind. Do you know what Pirates do to people like you?
*He starts to look around, noticing that the ship drifts through the void.*
... But my ship does need repairs.
Akai: Xanthus is currently without engine power.
Weavel: Don't call it that.
Akai: But that is the name of the ship. You selected it. Do you regret naming it after-
Weavel: Just stop. Am I going to have to call for transfer?
Akai: Yes.
*Weavel goes quiet for a moment, looking around the room, then finally meets Alaina's gaze again.*
Weavel: We're deep in Federation plots and Kennet robots and you think the Dark Star can help? I'd say this needs Pirate intervention, but they're probably behind all of this.
*Weavel lifts a hand to point one finger toward Alaina.*
Weavel: You'd better help me find everyone else or I swear I will cut you to pieces for your selfishness. Akai... go ahead and call the Dark Star.

*Weavel finally starts to stir, holding a hand to his head as he rolls to one side, trying to get up and promptly falling to the floor. He lets out an annoyed, pained moan as he starts to drag himself across the floor.*
Akai: Please rest.
Weavel: You... asshole, you know I hate that sedative.
Akai: Yes.
Weavel: Where's all the... people...
*Weavel finally grabs onto a bar and lifts himself to his feet, only to look over and see Alaina sitting in his ship. His hand slips from the bar, and though he stands momentarily solely by leaning all his weight against the wall, he soon slides down to the floor, where he draws his energy scythe and points it up at her.*
Weavel: What... the fuck... are you doing here?
Akai: The Champion of Dark Star assisted in defending this ship. Thus, her actions helped to save you.
*The weight of Weavel's scythe starts to pull his arm down, and he simply allows it to fall limp to the floor.*
Weavel: What happened? Where is everyone?

Akai: Unfortunately yes. Weavel does not care as much about damage as he should. I did not know him before his injury, but I can confirm that he cares less about his health than he did before. He does not feel pain as he should. My priority is the protection of Weavel. Possibly, the best way to achieve this is through pain. But this creates conflict.
*Weavel starts to twitch, and Akai goes quiet for a moment. As the bounty hunter stops moving, however, the voice in the ship begins to speak again.*
Akai: This is complicated. I acknowledge Weavel's feelings, but I don't understand them. I feel his emotions, but I cannot grasp their... meaning. I only know that he hates me. Which is unfortunate. I don't know why he hates me.
*Weavel gradually begins to move again, his yellow eyes starting to glow as he looks around. Seemingly content, he relaxes again, his head tilting to one side.*
Akai: Weavel.
Weavel: ... Mm?
Akai: The Champion of Dark Star is here.
Weavel: ... Y-... Yeah? All of them are... here...
Akai: Weavel requires more time.

*The autorepair device works diligently in the back of Weavel’s ship, carefully removing all of his armorsuit and gradually taking apart delicate pieces of the life support unit in his chest, and even some parts of his head. As he lies motionless in the device, robotic arms delicately resolder wiring, remove corroded parts, and replace the internal battery in his suit. After some time, the robotic arms fold away, and Weavel’s thin, skeletal form remains, lying unconscious in the space provided by the autorepair unit. Akai’s voice speaks out a moment later.*
Akai: Repair is complete. Estimated 15 minutes until stasis effect diminishes. Champion of Dark Star, I would attempt to be cordial and offer you a beverage as seems the tradition, but I have nothing to offer except battery acid. Battery acid is toxic. Cannot recommend.

*Akai's voice projects itself outside* First priority is protection of Weavel. Thank you. *Inside the ship, a white robotic arm folds out from the ceiling in the back, sliding along a rail to reach down, grabbing onto Weavel and pulling him up into his autorepair unit. As this happens, one of the ship's last functional components starts up, and after only a moment, the ship void-jumps, disappearing in a bubble of distorted space, taking some of the ground it was resting on with it.*

*Considering the weapons were already heavily damaged, the gunfire only serves to make it worse off, dislodging several parts to the weapon racks which fall to the ground, burnt and dented.*
Akai: This is quite aggravating. If you can kill them, perhaps they will leave. Or, perhaps I can ground the ship to dissuade their efforts. So long as the autorepair unit remains functional, Weavel will survive. That is all that matters.

*Weavel’s ship suddenly jerks back as the rockets on one side all begin to fire simultaneously, flying out and crashing into the ground where they were aimed, namely, at the human standing in front of the ship.*
Akai: Any hope for Weavel or me now lies with you.

Akai: Given that you just attacked this vessel and tried to abduct it, I can easily deduce that you’re lying. Rather, a poor attempt at manipulation.
*Its voice returns inside the ship, speaking to Alaina.*
Akai: I cannot fire the weapons. A sufficient electrical shock to the left access panel should ignite the rockets.

Akai: And I have abandoned him. He only ended up here because he’s poor at stealth.
*The weapon racks attempt to move again, accompanied by the whir of motors, and finally one points toward the troops that approach the ship, while the other remains stationary.*

*Near the wings of Weavel’s ship, weapon racks shift position slightly, pointing down toward the troops in a series of jerky motions, but sparks emerge from the hinges, and the section stops moving.*
Akai: I am... powerless.
*After a moment of silence, Akai begins to project its voice outside the ship instead.*
Akai: Your target is the Blue Jay. He can be found inside the facility below. Your chances of finding him are more successful if you begin now.

*Weavel’s ship remains motionless, having been broken to the point of lethargy. Akai speaks only to Alaina, leaving the other woman outside with no response.*
Akai: Because of my prime directive, I cannot allow you to cooperate. Although, I predict you aren’t the type to cooperate with hostiles anyway.
