The boy wasn’t new to Krupp’s short minded view of only his goals and intentions, but it made for quite the earful before they could reach a new plan. His implications of being implied useless wasn’t too helpful and certainly didn’t motivate Melvin to care about Krupp’s specific interests.

“You get winded at everything, a little physical exercise wouldn’t kill ya, BUB! As for George and Harold, all you need to do is listen! What are they going on about now? All they do is talk, it shouldn’t be that hard!”

He paused and placed a hand on his chin, then began to rant again.

“Why don’t ya make some machine that gives you super hearing? Invent the... Convenience-Tron 789! This ain’t rocket science, this is a children’s show!”

To make a long story short, Krupp was hoping to gain intel on George and Harold through Melvin. Assumingly, either he didn’t have the answer or his response wasn’t good enough, because now ol’ Krupp is freaking out.

“Melvin, you’re supposed to be my EYES and EARS! If you aren’t paying attention to what I care about, then what use are you?!”

Don’t forget, individuality is a foreign concept to most adults.
