i simply can not think about anything but kandreil. It is proving difficult to be a functioning member of society at the moment because of it. i’m slowly running out of fics on ao3 and idk what in gonna do when that happens

can we just talk about how scary it must’ve been for everyone to see riko try to literally murder neil after the championship game, but especially for andrew who had to watch his person almost get taken from him just as things were getting better. this is not the first time or even the second time he was almost without neil — as in forever if riko or his father has succeeded the times before — but this was the first time that he saw it for himself and had to experience the in the moment feelings of “this might be it” as he watched riko raise that racquet to neil; i know for a fact it was one of the scariest things he’s ever witnessed.

I'm having an amazing time picturing Neil at the sunshine court instead of Jean. like the probbing questions, the unrelenting demand for explanations and getting down to their feelings, Neil would have run Day One. and obviously Jean on the Foxes would have been a complete disaster.

the difference between Jean and Neil is that Jean is a stray dog who needs attention and love and Neil is a feral cat that will only stay around if u pretend to ignore him

i keep seeing people say that lucas is going to attack or go after jean when greyson dies and i just do not agree (saw one thing saying he'd try to kill him??)

one of the biggest things in TSC is that the ravens (and foxes) arent normal. the trojans are normal people who dont lash out with violence the way the ravens and foxes do. Even if they did, you'd be ignoring the deep regret lucas feels about what happened

and tbh people are ignoring that because lucas is normal, he had no fucking idea what was going to happen to jean with greyson. greyson had been completely different before EA and lucas had absolutely no idea of the scope of the abuse ravens went through - he knows normal collage bullshit and messy breakups, and he was desperate to find some spark of his brother left in there. he instantly switched up his feelings when he actually witnessed how greyson actually was with jean

i think its so missing the point to villainise lucas and assume the worst for his character arc when he shows so clearly that the Trojans are normal in a way that does not gel well with Jean's experiences

also everyone is fucking stupid if they think greyson's death will look like anything other than a very predictable suicide, another raven dead

My Roman Empire is ppl blaming Kevin for calling out in French while Riko was breaking him.

- I don’t think Kevin spoke French and dammed Jean on purpose *or even consciously did it* Riko had hurt Kevin countless times before, Riko’s reaction hints this is the only time he ever broke to that point.

Have you ever had your hand split open ? The pain??? Knowing that another hit is coming?? That pain would make you say/do anything before your brain catches up with you.

Pain, and the anticipation of pain is why torture is so effective. Because it’s terribly hard to think through. give Kevin a break- mans was not in his right mind bb

One of my favorite things about TSC? it showed how gentle the foxes, particularly Neil and Kevin, who are constantly described as callous, have the capacity to be. One could argue it’s because they love Jean dearly- regardless it heals me.

neil josten is just a feral little creature and this book showed us even more how fierce and cunning he can be but also - how kind he is??? he literally was so kind to jean in all of their interactions, even when he was being ruthless there was this underlying kindess and oh my god i love him
