Something was going very wrong. She could feel it.
Chest tight and breaths coming in shallow staccato, she fell shuddering to her knees with the little Jirachi Soma clutched desperately against her chest. He fussed, and the very air seemed to twist inside her lungs. Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep.
“Please,” She gasped as the tiny form in her hands stirred and whimpered, not unlike a baby. Dread swelled in her heart like someone had poured molten iron into her arteries, and each beat thundered hard in her ears.
Suddenly, her ears were ringing as the pressure around her dropped, and at once she felt like she was falling, falling, surely about to slip through the rocky Earth and tumble into the abyss forever.
The ringing grew louder and louder, screeching against her eardrums until she knew her skull would creak and shatter if she was made to endure any more. She dropped her head to the ground, scraping her forehead and gnashing her teeth as she clutched the Jirachi against her body like he was the only thing keeping her tethered to this broken world.
“Please,” She sobbed again. The ringing pulsed, and she realized then it was Soma’s wailing, a wretched fusion of an infant’s cries and the shriek of grinding metal.
The pressure suddenly crashed back in, compressing her brain in her skull like a vise. The world flickered, and the air shuddered. There was an audible SNAP.
High above, the glittering blue sky had cracked. It started with a single crack, a sliver of red peeking between the stars like someone was peering inside their snow globe. Then it seeped through, leaking into the blue like blood in water.
Zee tossed her head back, her heavy crown shuddering on her skull as she observed the sky. She watched, helpless on her knees and cradling the sobbing child. She watched, ice sluicing through her veins as she further ruined the world unhindered. She watched, terrified as the wish sky bled to death.
The red sky now burned valiantly above. From the ashes of the wishes granted, nightmares emerged.
(Arc info below)
Soma the Jirachi is having a nightmare, and the blue wish sky has turned red! Under this sky, the wishes your character made and came true in the first segment will begin to warp into nightmares.

{ It actually wasn't that hard to make a wish! Look! }
[ An image is attached. It's a picture of a scarlet ranger hat, held above a very similar looking hat. ]
{ The wish made a hat that's almost exactly like my trainer's! I think it looks cool, so maybe the wish went with my interpretation of a "cool hat"? }
#gardevoir speaks#pokemon irl#wishmade sky: dreams and effigies#// I should've posted this sooner but I wanted to make a drawing

Daytime meteor shower?
It's a day as usual. Draw something, watch the trouble-maker, wait for something to happen...
Today, my wait yields a result; I notice, as I look out the window, the sky darkened. It hasn't been so long, has it? I've kept busy, but not nearly enough to lose track of time.
I look to him. He'll know the time without fail.
"Hmm? Let me check."
His clock rings out the time: It's 13 'o clock.
Something is wrong.
I step outside to see the sky more clearly. It's stranger, somehow. The sky is dark, yet luminous. It's far too blue to be night, not bright enough to be day.
He follows. He must've been sitting for too long again. He takes off his glasses as soon as he puts them on.
"The sky's weird today, huh?"
It is.
"Thunderstorm?"
It isn't.
"Well, if I had any say in it, I'd say this Rumbles my mood."
Ha! Rumbles? I get it! Because thunder rumbles! It's a double-meaning! Human words are so funny! So funny, that I nearly forget the strange phenomenon in the sky.
Has this happened before? I do not recall. It doesn't seem normal. It looks soothing, yet, terrifying. There is a feeling of discomfort that rings from my horn, or at least, different than normal. As if something were asleep, but its presence overpowering, as if it were all around me... no, in the sky.
Is the sky asleep? Why would the sky be asleep? Skies. Don't. Sleep!
"Are you alright?"
No! There is a meteor shower in the afternoon, the sun is missing, and the sky is asleep! I can't make sense of this!
"Huh. Make a wish?"
This human perplexes me.
"You know, it's a human thing. Or, well, it's probably tied to some specific cultures. When you see a shooting star, you make a wish. There's also a superstition that if you say it outloud, it won't come true, but eh. You can tell me if you want. Unless you're trying to sneak more treats into our shopping cart."
Why can't he take this seriously? The sky has an aura, it's asleep, and all he can think about is next week's groceries?! Oh, right. No, that's not what this is.
"I'll report this the area leader. Try to see if you hear anything about it online."
Of course. Maybe this'll give us something to do today. Others are bound to be scared too. Maybe they'll understand.

wish for a cool hat
{ Oh! Good idea! That seems harmless enough. And it's unspecific enough that it might give insight on how the magic works; whether the wish takes your inner thoughts into account, or improvises. There is one thing, though... how do I make a wish? }

{ I wonder if pokémon can make wishes? I would make tests, but humans on this site claim the wishes may become dangerous. }
{ What would be a low-risk way of testing this? Certainly, avoiding anything that would summon or alter a lifeform, in small scale. Something that hardly affects the world, but remains observable. }

{ Oh!! That is why I could sense a presence in the sky! I can't quite place together what it is, but I think it's in a dream-like state. }
{ What would happen if someone already made a wish? Hypothetically of course. }
In light of current circumstances, I know that many of you out there have noticed that the sky has remained in its altered state for just about a day and a half across several different world lines.
I would first like to implore that nobody panic about this. While it isn't an anomaly, or caused by any of the phenomena I typically study, the cause of this is known. This is the manifestation of a Legendary Pokemon's power via a wish, particularly the power of the pokemon Jirachi.
All that said, you may have also noticed that wishes that are being made while this phenomenon is occurring causes those wishes to be granted. I'm here to tell you now to stop making those wishes!!
I know there is temptation. I know this seems like a great opportunity, a once in a life time chance to fix some mistake of yours, or bring someone back you've been missing, or achieve some goal you've been striving for.
But we do not know what the nature of these wishes are. We do not know what impacts making sweeping changes like this may have to the fabric of the universe, or if this state is at all sustainable. So far people are getting precisely what they asked for. We do not know if this will persist, or if there is a limit on the kinds of wishes that may be granted in this state.
I know my words won't reach everyone, but please try to act with reason and refrain from making wishes!!

“My darlings, I’ve brought you a wonderful gift. Isn’t there something you’ve always wanted? It’s yours now. All you have to do is wish for it.”
(Arc info below)
Zee has discovered Jirachi, and with the power of the Millennium Comet to fuel it she has made her wishes.
However, this Jirachi is in the midst of a nightmare, and in its sleepwalking state its power is spilling out uncontrolled.
A strange, permanent dark blue sky with colorful stars is bleeding its way across the multiverse. If you would like to participate in Wishmade Sky, simply assume the Sky has reached your character’s location!
Under the blue Sky, your character can make a wish and it will come true. However, anything wished into physical existence is actually made of stardust, and by the end of the arc it will crumble back into dust. This includes pokemon and people!
The power of the wishmade sky has also lured down a fall of curious wild minior. Your character can meet and befriend them if you’d like!
Arc part ONE, “Wishmade Sky: Dreams and Effigies” will last from June 1 - June 10. Tag your posts for this segment #wishmade sky: dreams and effigies
For more information about the arc’s stakes, the upcoming plot prompts, and the link to the Discord server, see this post!

"I want to challenge the league but I only want to train x kind of pokemon"
Then do it. It'll be harder for sure, but you can do it.
"I want to be a pokemon trainer and travel the world but I'm an older person"
Then do it. it's never too late to pick up pokemon training, you're never to old to learn a new skill.
"I want to go on my Pokemon journey but I have a disability"
You can still do it. It'll be different, and in many cases harder, but it can be done- hell, your pokemon might even be able to help you.
"I want to go on a Pokemon journey but I don't want to go alone."
Then bring friends with you- or make friends. There's groups now on swablusky I saw just the other day for matching up with other trainers in your experience range to travel together.
"I want to go on a Pokemon journey but I don't have a rival."
You don't need one. If you have that kind of self-motivation to carry yourself further, you don't NEED a rival.
Pokemon training, pokemon journeys, pokemon contests, all of these things are for everyone. Your experience might be different or harder or strange to someone else. But that doesn't mean it's any less than anyone else's. If you're thinking about taking that step into the world of pokemon companionship? Do it. This is your sign to give it a try.
I'm rooting for you. 👍

"Oh, by the way, your mom came to visit."
"What? When?"
"Oh uh, just now. I wasn't sure if that's something you gave her permission for, but she seemed to have your room key..? So either way, I figured I'd let you know."
"That's... weird. I didn't give it to her."

❤️-A happy memory
The ask game is here: embed
A boy and his teddiursa are training in a forest. The teddiursa jabs at the tree with every inch of might in its fluffy body, while the boy times the cub.
"Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen! Take a break."
The Teddiursa plops down on the grass, taking a moment to rest.
Out of curiosity, the boy presses a hand on the tree, and then beams with excitement.
"Hey, you left a dent in the tree! You know what that means, right?! You're getting stronger!!"
A voice calls for the boy. Someone familiar. Upon hearing it, his focus shifts towards returning to the woman.
"Next stop, We'll tackle the gym. I think you're ready!"
The tediursa coos, and jumps to embrace the boy's leg.
"Hey, you're becoming heavy. How about I- nh- pick you up? There!"
The voice calls again. Lifting the teddiursa in one arm and holding his cane with his other, the boy shouts in response:
"J'arrive, grand-mère!"

Oh. you're just gonna say the quiet part outloud.
But uh. you should probably take a break before you "break"
When you refuse to rest in the now, you borrow time from the future. Pray it won't catch up to you at an inopportune time!
Well. Good thing I can literally ‘borrow time’ infinitely until I want to rest. Makes it easier.

a family of four passed by today. they wanted to go climbing, so I gave them the usual heads up and explanations and offered some of our climbing gear. the dad then told me he already had anything he needed and didn't wanna get "roped in" to any funny business.
so I figured I'd hang this story here.
