Hii this is a collab art piece with me and @failingatfailing for the writer @naminethewriter fic for @sandersidesbigbang 2023!!
A colored, mixed-media art piece depicting Remus and Roman from the Sanders Sides series , drawn in a stylized art style. Remus is on left, sitting back in a green throne, one hand raised up. He’s dressed in a similar outfit as in the series but wears a skirt instead of pants, and wears a thorny, gold crown. Floating eyes surround him. Roman is on the right, sitting forward in a red throne with his head resting in the palm of his hand. He’s dressed in a similar outfit as in the series, with a golden crown on his head. Golden clouds and red stars float around him. The backgrounds for each split the piece in half

edupunkn00b — Meus ex Machina - Masterpost (tumblr.com)
A hand-inked abstract image of Remus in his imagined Mad Lads green and black uniform. Roman's head is attached to his right shoulder by a long, twisted neck. Remus' left eye is larger, seeing more of the world than exists. Purple flowers and gnarled trees are in the background, with an orange swath that could be a road, could be flames encroaching in the distance.
PS. Joining @sandersidesbigbang for the first time and it was pretty fun!! Wanted to try doing abstract art so yee here it is.

Racism Is The TS Fandom
You know the racism issue goes way beyond the b/l.m Roman posts in this fandom.
This racism issue is beyond Thomas and deals more with the culture we have created here in this fandom. It deals a lot with the fact that most Fanders are white and probably not pick up on any racism in their actions.
As I’ve spent time in this fandom, talking to other POC fanders and learning, I realize that there are people in this fandom who feel comfortable saying racist things. There are people here who have biases and refuse to check them.
And I know a bunch of you are young, but you got to listen to POC when we tell you something’s offensive.
A lot of Fanders are queer so here’s a scenario. Say your in another fandom and none of the characters are canonly queer. And most fans are straight. But people will occasionally draw the characters with LGBT stuff? It’s not super popular and while you like it, the fandom tends to not do that. Some LGBTQ+ fans even get harassed for their art
But then someone gets homophobic comments on a post with a straight character with a gay flag saying I’m gay. The artist is straight and has never experienced homophobia and never will. Understandably people are upset so they make art to help. The most popular ones, for the most part, are made by straight folks, most of which tie there art to an event that’s a serious fight for equality for LGBT folks and trying to change homophobia and tagging it with the name of that event. Some of this art ends up being offensive because straight people don’t understand small things that are offensive to gay people
You and other LGBTQ+ people try to call this out. You go, “Hey what your doing is offensive! Don’t!” Some listen, some ignore it, and others start calling you the f-slur. Things only get better when straight people start speaking up, and even then they still spread misinformation. More people get it but people still attack gay folks in the fandom. You make posts but people still divert from the point.
That’s what it’s been like here. For all POC fanders, but particularly black fanders.
Y’all might want me to say “Don’t call people the n-word and its fine” but I’m not going to. Because not saying a racial slur is the least you could do. You don’t get any appreciation for that.
You might think “This is a minority of fanders, it’s not that big a deal” But it is. If racists feel safe here, we’ve created a culture where racist feel fine attacking POC. There’s POC who are hesitant to share there thoughts and call out problematic behavior because of the bullying and hate sent to those who do.
And you might even say “Well POC handled this rudely.” Which is wrong. I’m so so so sorry that a lot of us are so sick of dealing with systematic oppression and with racism that’s supposed to come from “safe places” (Note sarcasm).
Also a lot of us are polite but you all keep trying to “debate” whether something is racist when your white. And you expect kindness from people you hurt? People who already have so many issues beyond this?
Even if your intentions are good, if we tell y’all something is problematic! Listen! We most likely know what we’re talking about and can probably pick up on racism more than you can.
You need to be anti-racist. Look at your own biases, which is something we all need to do, including me. I had to unlearn behavior and problematic mentalities. You need to question things. Ask POC if things are okay. @skyscrapersanddandelions @mxnte and I have said a lot and given great advice you can find on our blogs and I’m sure there is more. If you have more questions ask us if it’s okay to ask us something. (Respect whatever our response is). You can also find stuff for yourself by searching it online. (Especially if it’s a question about if a certain art style is offensive, like references and posts explaining things are out there).
My inbox is open and so are my PMs. I’m usually willing to have a conversation.
Also for the love of god learn the difference between valid criticism and hate. A good portion of this outrage comes from people not understanding the difference.

Mrs Fluffybottom
Prompt: omg bruh. Imagine Prinxiety where Virgil wants to make something for Roman, but gets super self conscious about it cause Roman’s CREATIVITY for petes sake, and of course it’ll look dumb in comparison to what Roman can make. OH this is kinda sad but what if something accidentally happened to Ms. Fluffybottom and Roman is devastated, so Verge tries to stitch him a stuffed bunny? X’D ~ @this-is-ske
Pairing: Prinxiety (platonic or romantic)
General Taglist: @thebeautyofthomas @frustratedwaffle @killerfangirl3 @pippa-frost @extreme-doodles @fandomsofrandom @here-to-vent @i-prayed-to-you-cas @pro-fangirls-unsocial-life
cw: Self-loathing, negative self-talk, vivid imagery of a destroyed doll, cursing, headaches, mostly fluff
*
The absolute worst part about the whole mess was that Princey hadn’t even been angry.
Anger, Virgil could’ve handled. If Roman had yelled, or raged at him, or otherwise reacted in the way Virgil had feared, he would at least have been expecting it. It would have made sense. Especially after all the pomp and circumstance with which he’d loaned the doll to Virgil in the first place–and the solemn promise he’d extracted from Virgil to take care good of her.
Not that he’d done it on purpose, of course. He was just…Anxiety. Ruining things was what he did.

as much as I love creativity-split angst, I’m equally partial to the idea of there being one creativity - the one who encompassed the purity and enthusiasm of a child’s imagination - and then, as Thomas got a little bit older and started having one or two darker thoughts (the idea to zap his brother here, a slightly more concerning plot line with his toys there, etc), a new creativity formed. It wasn’t a split, just Thomas’ moral filtering taking these new dark parts of Thomas and saying “that doesn’t fit with This creativity” and making an entirely new one for them instead. Taking the idea and function of creativity and bringing a new figure to fruition in its likeness, just an opposite version. As literally as Logan explained it in Remus’ episode.
It would still explain why Roman is Thomas’ pride, and ego, and femininity, and romance, and Remus is somehow none of those things, despite them sharing Creativity. It’s like Thomas’ brain just took the new thoughts as they came and sorted them - Thomas has dreams of being a superhero? Prince Creativity will like that. Thomas is certain there’s a shadow demon at the bottom of his stairs when he turns the light off? Yeah, sounds like the Duke’s expertise. And after a bit, both creativities understood their roles in Thomas’ life and took it from there.
It would also make Roman the older brother and I think that’s hilarious because Remus absolutely acts like the younger sibling who just wants attention

Guys, please stop putting fanart in the blm tag. Please.
Draw the sides however you want. Whatever race, whatever gender, it does not matter, they can shapeshift in canon and aren’t human anyway. But stop putting fanart in the blm tag. That tag is not for us, or for our trends. If you want your art to support the blm movement then have links to donation pages, ways to help, or posts by black people and other poc to uplift their voices in your description, but STILL do not put it in the blm tag. This is not. about. us. Listen to black people, always, but especially right now.
When a black person tells you to reevaluate what you’re doing, you fucking reevaluate it. When a poc tells you that something you said/did was harmful, you sit down and you listen to them and learn and try to do better next time. I love seeing the fandom come together to try and support this important movement, but it is so easy to be performative or shallow in our activisim and forget to pause and look and listen to black people about what will be most helpful.
And since I’m white I’m going to stop talking now and provide you with some resources you can read if you still don’t understand/want to learn more.

DO NOT JUST LIKE THIS AND KEEP SCROLLING FUCKING REBLOG THIS
script from @bluecollarbabe1 on instagram. even if you can't protest, you can still be heard. use your voice. do something.
TEXT:
To whom it may concern:
I am writing you about the murder of George Floyd by MPD officers Derek Chauvin, Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Kueng, and Tou Thao. These men were not upholding the law, they were committing murder and terrorizing their community. Being fired is not an appropriate response to the crime. All officers must be charged with murder.
We cannot continue this way. This is not the way forward. Use your station and power for change; for good. Give a voice to the smothered. Prove that all lives matter. Do your job.
When the streets clear and the ashes fade, George Floyd will not be forgotten. The events transpiring may very well be plastered into history books. The world is watching. My generation will not fail to tell our children exactly what happened. Your actions now will cement how you are remembered. If you stand up and act, you will be remembered for your bravery, choosing to enact justice. If not, history will sneer at your cowardice. The choice is yours.
