That made sense when it was explained, though she still didn’t quite get the appeal of it. Probably the wanting to be around science part; Wanda had had enough of being close to scientists to last her quite a while. “The important thing is that you like it,” she replied, because that was true enough. If she didn’t like being an Avenger more than it occasionally aggravated her, she would not be doing it.
Wanda took the seat across from Darcy. “What kind of card game?” she asked. Flight made her slightly uncomfortable, though the speed of it was oddly soothing - probably something to do with Pietro, but she wasn’t going to pick at that barely scabbed over wound.

The admonishments from Lila and Laura made Wanda keep her own to herself. “Three hours is respectable amount of practice,” she said instead. “You have many things to do that are not archery and just because they are not as fun, it is not good to neglect them.”
Clint sighed when Laura moved away. He let himself take another warm sip of coffee before he pulled his hearing aides from the pockets of his pajama pants. He sighed again as he put them in. He closed his eyes as sounds filtered in, getting louder and clearer before everything balanced out. “Wanda making fun of my hair again?” he asked with a grin, obviously teasing.

“I do not have a phone,” Wanda replied softly as she took a seat. They hadn’t allowed her one. She had a communication device built in to her uniform, but it only worked with her team. She watched Darcy as she conversed with Friday.
She nodded her assent to Darcy’s words, though she filed away the information for later. Why did she not want anyone to know her superior rank? If she was ranked so highly, why was she an intern for the scientist that was upgrading their equipment and dating the thunder god? Wanda ran her palms against her legs; she hated having so many questions and no answers for them.

Wanda smiled at Cooper as she ate her breakfast. She liked when the boy was happy, a brightness filled the area around him and calmed her nerves. “Practice has not been taking away from your school work and helping around the farm, has it?”
Clint nodded. He saw the bowl fall out of the corner of his eye, but without his hearing aides in he didn’t hear the clatter on the floor. He was glad that Laura was letting him hold her so closely or he wouldn’t have been able to hear her speak. “I can do that. Nat’s been really good about getting the higher ups to give W a long leash.”

What Darcy said made sense, and she followed her onto the quinjet. All she wanted was to get to the farm and see her claimed family, though she didn’t mind the pretty company.
It seemed that the computer verbally answering questions still startled her if the way she jumped was anything to go by. Wanda tried to cover it by quickly storing her own bag, but she wasn’t sure she managed. “It takes a bit of getting use to - the walls speaking.”

Wanda had her bag packed with enough things to keep her for a week, as well as hiding several presents for the Barton children among her clothes. The person who approached her was not Natasha, not with how loudly she breathed, and Wanda turned to look at the girl who approached.
“Girl” was the wrong descriptor for the woman that stopped in front of her. Curves like that... Wanda gave herself a mental shake. Was this woman - Darcy Lewis - familiar to her?  She hesitated at shaking Darcy’s hand, never particularly comfortable with touching people upon first meeting. Deciding not to be rude, she strengthened her shields before she finally put her hand in Darcy’s. “I’ve seen you around, watching?”
“A couple. I’ll keep you updated and pull you if we have an emergency.” She smiled to the girl. “See you in a few.” She nodded her head and stepped back into the training area. If she was going to the farm. She needed more practice to make up for the amount she would lose while there.

She hummed, resting her cheek against the side of Lila’s head. “Well, I cannot miss that, can I? I think I can talk Natasha into letting me stay.” Wanda hoped that she could, anyway. She let herself get caught up in the warm feeling of her sleepy adopted family surrounding her.
The scent of freshly cooked eggs pulled Wanda from her drifting by setting her stomach rumbling. She shifted Lila on her lap, just a little, so she could more easily get to her plate.
Clint leaned into the kiss, chasing after her mouth with his own. His eyes were barely open, and he wrapped an arm around her waist to keep her close for longer. “Nah. Not when everyone else is up and movin’ around.” He hummed again and stole a kiss of his own. “How long we get the kid for?”
Cooper went back to his food but he pouted. “Couldn’t you stay tell Friday, Wanda? I got a talent show at school.” He smiled at her as the hyperness slowly made the tiredness slide away. “I’m gunna do some archery that Pop has been showing me it is going to be epic.”
Lila snuggled close to Wanda when she was was picked up. She adjusted when they sat down so she was still leaning tiredly on the older girl. But she grabbed her toast nibbling on it absently.
Laura moved and slide more eggs on Lila’s plate for Wanda to eat. She then slide some toast in the toaster and poured the girl a glass of milk. “You’re always welcome.” She got to her husband after his sip of coffee and tip toed up to steal a kiss. “You sir, should still be asleep.” She smirked at him lingering close for a second.

A weight lifted off of Wanda’s chest and she brightened immediately. “Thank you.” Seeing Clint and Laura and the kids would be a perfect way to recharge from the tension of being an Avenger. “Thank you,” she repeated, her appreciation showing on her face. “How many days am I allowed to stay?”
Natasha nodded and set the towel to the side. She tapped the screen on the wall pulling up her and Wanda’s schedule. She re adjusted a couple things. Mostly things for her to do and nodded. “I think we could leave tonight? Meet me at my room at 6 and we will catch a plane out. “

“Natasha,” she echoed. It wasn’t the first time she’d had to be corrected on it, and Wanda was sure it wasn’t going to be the last. “I have planned to go to the farm.” She just wanted to be around family, take a break from training and the stupid arguments that kept cropping up among the boys on her team.
Natasha stepped back off the mat. The hologram dissipated and she grabbed a towel to wipe the her neck. “It’s Natasha, and yes. Just until we get your immigration completed. Where did you want to go?”

Wanda smiled a little wider at the children and lifted Lila obediently. She settled the little girl on her hip. “You are both so good for your father.” She placed a smacking kiss against Lila’s temple before she settled into the girl’s chair at the table.
“Thank you, Laura.” Wanda felt more settled than she did at the Avengers facility and it was all because of this family that had been willing to include her as one of their own. “I am only here for a few days.”
Clint rubbed sleepily at his own eyes, just like his kids, and moved toward the coffee maker. “Mmm, coffee.” A large mug was already set out for him, lightly sugared and still hot. He hummed as he took a long swallow.
Cooper felt the tug on his ear and looked over. He smiled when he saw his big sister Wanda. Well that is what he called her. He shrugged. “We helped Daddy with farm stuff last night. My arms are heavy.”
Lila nodded her head with her brother’s comment as she slid out out of her chair and walked the few steps to Wanda. She held up her arms her eyes half closed.
Laura looked behind her with a smile. “Breakfast is almost done if you want to join.” She said to the girl her and her husband and let into there little family. She was alone. But not any longer.

She watched as Laura made breakfast, Nathaniel babbling away in his high chair while Cooper and Lila swayed sleepily in their own seats at the table. It had been a few weeks since she’d been there last, and she wanted her arrival to be a surprise.
On silent feet, she slipped into the kitchen proper and snuck up behind Cooper. She tweaked his left ear and moved quickly to his other side, a soft smile brightening her face. “School is soon. You should not be so sleepy.”

“Ms Romanoff?” Wanda stood in the doorway, an uncommonly hesitant frown creasing her eyebrows. “I was told to speak with you if I planned to leave the facility.”
