Have you thought about reverse au?
With both lambs chained together as Those Who Wait?
This ask kinda kicked us into high gear.
Info about characters under the cut
Introducing!
Those Who Wait: The conjoined twin gods of death. They share a body, a mind and a soul.
The Cat (Narinder): The Black Cats were hunted to extinction. With him drowned as the last sacrifice the old prophecy will never be fulfilled. Is permanatly waterlogged from his frist death.
The Bishops:
The God of Protection: The vigilant Billie. Goat and father of the twins. The most devoted to keeping his children locked up, even if the most guilty. Refuses to believe that he and his wife were wrong, and doubles down due to his grief of being the one that sent them down there. Witness: None.
The God of Vigilance: The matriarchal Mary. Sheep and mother of the twins. Devoded to the crusade for the same reasons as her husband. Eternally mournful instead of angry. Witness: Kallamar
The God of Perseverance: The patient Hikari. Rabbit and old allie to the godly family. Joined the cause to send the twins down for the greater good. Will fight The Cat with dedication, if not sympathy. Witness: Heket
The God of Initiative: The playful Perth. Yellow Cat and old allie to the godly family. The least enthused about this crusade, given his origins as a feline, even if not the correct species. Fights more for the fun of it, because he doesn't believe in outrunning prophecy. If The Cat can beat him, then good for him. Witness: Leshy
Shamura: The Advisor. The original Soothsayer that ultimately doomed the twins, and regretted it ever since. Assists the cat on behalf of the twins, knowing that in the end, everything will fall to where it must. Originally Billie's Witness before their guilt caused them to diverge from the old faith.
The Cat (Sherinder): From a parallel world where the white cats were hunted down instead. The One Who Waits is Billie, who is epically divorced by the betrayal of his wife.

Slay the princess × Cult of the lamb
'If you don't slay the lamb the world will end'
Echoes of the prophecy reverberate in my mind, repeating endlessly like a solemn prayer.
It is the work of death to bring peace.
I have no say in this matter.
I have to kill the lamb.

I do suck at painting (●´⌓`●), but I tried my best, since I'm all about making sketches and not doing anything else. Plus, lineart has been my biggest flaw since I was a kid
And also! Finally, the Lamb without her ceremonial robes! Since they wear this kind of clothing for crusades
I'll be leaving more dumb sketches I made in my free time that I can't seem to make look good in digital (And I also covered my writing because I have the most horrible handwriting ever 😔)

If the last god is easy to manipulate, it is wise to keep them close, isn't it?
I'm still messing around a bit with colors and clothes since it's been a while since I last drew something seriously in digital 😔

Stages of Grief
Muriel never was the most emotionally stable person even before their execution but after losing everything they love they become so much worse. How do you even begin to process the grief of losing everything that you were, losing your entire life and having to become someone new as if it never happened?
Also bonus fact: Narinder is the first person Muriel told about their past, but it’s definitely not a happy confrontation.
Alts under cut
The outfit differences are intentional btw I was using it to show time difference

They had two horns like a lamb, and They spoke like a dragon. Fear not, little flock, for it is your God's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Here are both illustrations together since they technically are a set

Haha so uhmmm remember how I said Narinder fell first and harder? It doesn't go well for him for a while lmao.
He confessed with full confidence that they would accept him over everyone else cause of course. Why wouldn't they? Oh? They said no! Well actually, they said they're gonna pretend that they didn't hear that haha whoops. Lamb fumbled for another 200 years.
Its fiiiine this opened them both up to talk about it later and they'll test the waters soon.... In another few years. Boy gotta yearn for this lamb. It's what they deserve.

I don't love this, but hey! a finished piece is a finished piece!
This little lamby is from an AU I had in mind from some time ago... though they might change in the future
I'll also leave this to show a little of their feelings towards their narinder, though it's a pretty complicated feeling for them (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
