Obi-Wan would definitely put on his detective hat and somehow figure out what's going on. Anakin will just like go disappear for hours at a time to do some kind of weird sexual ritual to further ingrain Palpatine's orders and influence into his brain. Anakin being unresponsive until his task is done when Obi-Wan inevitably finds him sets off the red flags lol

Ooooo and isn't it that Palpatine was behind Anakin's nightmares? Gives him nightmares to sleep deprived him so Palpatine can offer assistance.

It starts simply as Palpatine pretending to notice that Anakin is very sleep deprived and miserable and offers to have him come over to help him relax. Anakin's like, no no, it's the nightmares that are keeping me up and I don't really don't want to sleep and experience them if I don't have to. Of course on another day he ends up coercing him to anyway, but so subtly that Anakin doesn't realize that's what's happening and ends up becoming a routine. Anakin never remembers anything afterward, he just knows he always feels a little better after visiting his mentor. Only sometimes does Anakin put up a little fight, but Palpatine likes that about him eheheheh

Aside from planting doubts and paranoia in his mind of course he's also getting him to do some nasty shit too, forcing him to associate that pleasure with obeying him and also believing the lies he's told by his 'friend'. Of course and again just wants to be loved and accepted and praise, and of course Palpatine leans into that heavily as a way to further manipulate him.

He eventually can't even get it up with Padme because of a block that's been put up in his brain. Absolute chaos. Truly Hannibals this poor guy and I love to see it.
