❄ We Miss Our Girlfriends? (CA Closed)

Shizuku Ashuu felt... Distinctly alone.  She had hoped that at least the feeling couldn’t get any worse, but it didn’t take much more than just... Spotting a couple holding hands, for her to feel once more like being saved from death was a huge mistake.  Not that it was a choice she had any say in... Maybe it was rare to feel bitter over having your life saved, but what kind of life was a life without Nana?

It wasn’t healthy to rely so much on a lover, this Shizuku knew, but nonetheless... She had no sense of self on her own.  Her life consisted of bending to make her partner happy, putting herself on the line for her partner’s sake, being a supportive protector of whatever Nana wanted to do, because she loved Nana so much.  It felt wrong to not devote herself to somebody she loved.

Still, if she was given another chance at life... And she knew, she wouldn’t get that if she returned home just to die to Fav’s twisted game... She may as well make an attempt, miserable as she was to see there with others here who still had somebody to love when she didn’t.  She was so caught up in her sad thoughts, she wasn’t watching where she was going, and bumped into another woman who wasn’t paying attention either, though this one’s distraction was a phone.  She mumbled, “Um.  Sorry.”

❄ Healing Song (CA Closed)

There are many things that can keep somebody from being miserable.  There’s hot baths, and good snacks, and nice movies.  Blankets, and... The comfort of other human beings.  These things didn’t work when they were all associated with the root of the misery.  Nana... Shizuku didn’t want to live without her, but what could she even do?  SHe was here now, in citta, and back in her own world... Dead.  There was no way to find Nana again, but Shizuku couldn’t help being so sad.  This was worse than a breakup.

There was one thing which might help, though.  Music, as Shizuku discovered when she was sitting on a sidewalk, dejected, and happened to hear a faint melody.  It was nice.  It was soothing, calming, and she felt... Better, if only for a few moments

“Sister Nana...” Weiss croaked out as her shoulder bled, nothing where her right arm was.  Bled so much... And she was already weakened, not to mention the magic behind that weapon of hers... This was the end... Wasn’t it...?

“Welcome to Hive City.”

Shizuku wasn’t expecting to wake up.

“Your wounds have been healed.  Your abilities, modified.  You will live in district alpha.”

Shizuku walked.  She wandered, in a daze, away from where she had started in this town.  Alive.  She was alive.  Alive and alone.  Sister Nana was still alone back at home.  Even if Fav didn’t count her, Yunael would serve as the safety net for any other deaths this week.  But... she was alone.

It had been so long, she’d known Nana since high school, and dated her for over a year now.  What was she supposed to do without her...?
