A year of travel in review… Justin and I were extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to quite literally travel the world for a full year. We missed many things and it was hard at times but we had many “firsts”, went to amazing locales, met really interesting people, and had too many experiences to list. Here are some fun facts about our trips… ✔️Visited 5 continents (Justin 6) ✔️Visited 24 countries (Justin 25) ✔️Taken countless buses ✔️Taken 57 flights ✔️Tried 40 local beers ✔️Got our advanced diving certification ✔️Only got really sick once throughout the year ✔️Read 14 books ✔️Only had 1 thing stolen (sunglasses) at the end of the trip ✔️Bags and clothing have been through the ringer ✔️Realized how tuned to the US the rest of the world is ✔️Sent 5 packages home, 4 made it and 1 is still in transit ✔️Napkins and toilet paper are in short supply I’m probably leaving out a million things, but I hope you enjoyed the pictures along the way! Cancun & Home (7/29/17 - 7/31/17)
From Cuba we flew to Cancun for a couple of days. We knew we would be going home after Cancun but we did not have a flight out so when we landed we got some food and looked at flights. We tried to enjoy our short time in Cancun. Since I have never been to Cancun I would have to say it was different than I expected. First thing that jumped out at me was how pretty the beaches are and the water too. Overall, it’s too touristic for me but the beaches make up for it.
Not to be cliche but all good things must come to an end. Part of us couldn’t believe it was a year already but part of us was ready to go back and see all of our friends and family. I left Cancun on the 30th and Justin left on the 31st since we were flying into different airports.
