just finished going on the hottest sweatiest walk of my life (lie. i've been on much sweatier walks) i love summer i love the heat i love the sun and i mean this from the bottom of my heart i love mother nature she is treating me well
#getting hot and sweaty and tired is so fulfilling#because the feeling of walking into an air conditioned room and having a nice cold treat afterward is UNMATCHED#also i love the heat and sun bc it's an excuse to wear as little clothing as possible#i wish i could live in thin baggy tshirts and athletic shorts my whole life. peak comfort.

i found a new area to explore on my walk yesterday. it’s very exciting.
#it’s where the frat houses are. it is surprisingly beautiful with lots of big trees and benches#and in the late afternoon when i was over there the trees cast such nice shade

finishing a paper (okay i have one final closing sentence to write) after sitting on it for... well it's two months past due. it feels so surreal. please god i want this weight off my shoulders. i can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's burning my eyes.

#it literally took me ALL. DAY. to write a conclusion paragraph#my issue is it would get distracted making revisions to the rest of the paper instead of actually writing new material.#tbf tho. those revisions were necessary. so many missed typos.#this one paper that i just COULD NOT get myself to write is what has made this semester so unnecessarily stressful#that and the Desperately Trying To Find Housing situation in february...#which was the reason i wasn't able to finish the paper on time... so really the root of all my problems is the housing market.

daily phone call with my mom: complete!
#well. this was a bonus call#there's the mandatory 'are you safe in your room? have you been kidnapped? no? alright.' call at the end of the day#but i had to call early to tell her about waking up at 3 am with a numb foot and falling over and hitting my hip on my ac unit (ow)#(i was sleeping in a weird position that made my foot fall asleep to the point that it went totally numb. which included my ankle)#(stumbling around my room totally blind lights off glasses off foot numb hip aching trying to get my blood pumping)#and then she facetimed me and showed me the progress on the garden and discussed future garden plans

something so off putting about having a book you despise that you genuinely think was not written well or was just. plain bad. and then going onto goodreads and seeing it has like a 4.5 star rating
#in general i think goodreads ratings are too high#why does ninth house have a 4.03?#why does ‘it looks like this’ have a 3.8?#it looks like this is my least favorite book of all time if i could go back in time and stop 14 year old baby gay me from read it#i would. in a heartbeat.#actually i was probably like 13#even worse.#it’s just another ‘two gay boys in religious households fall in love (despite having no chemistry) and every horrible thing#that could possibly happen to them does and then one of them dies tragically and everything sucks. you’re hopeless. the end.’#and it doesn’t make up for it in any humor or levity or. interesting writing.#but whatever. whatever.
