Danger Zone

Jake “Hangman” Seresin x Reader

Warnings: None. Pure fluff!

Summary: Watching the crew of pilots play Dogfight Football, you cannot keep your eyes off of Hangman.

A/N: It has been years since I’ve written FF, but I’ve seen this movie twice now and am in love with the new characters. I hope you like this little fluff piece I thought of!

“He’s staring at you again.” Penny sing-songed as she looked down at the paper in her hand.

“You only know that because you’re oogling over Maverick” I laughed while looking up at the sea of pilots running around shirtless. They can do this anytime they want.

“I am not!

“You so are! It’s okay. You can admit it” I elbowed Penny, smiling back at her. She rolled her eyes at me, both of us turning to watch them again.

They all looked like they were having a great time. Running and laughing together, becoming a unified team as Maverick had intended. I tried to make sense of the game Maverick had come up with, but my sights always seemed to land on the same person, Hangman. Everything he did drove me crazy. He’s arrogant and cocky, but I couldn’t help myself.

Just as I was about to get back to work with Penny, Maverick called a time out. Breaking for some drinks, the aviators sprinted towards the deck Penny and I were sitting on. Hangman and I locking eyes the entire way, daring the other to look away first.

“Like the show, Y/N?” Jake asked with a smirk as soon as he was in earshot. Coming to stand right across the table from me.

“Don’t act like you weren’t making sure she was watching, Bagman.” Phoenix said, patting him on the shoulder on her way through. She grabbed a water from the cooler and sat next to me. I laughed with her before turning my attention back to the beautiful man in front of me.

“Oh, where you?” I smirked at him with a quirked brow.

“Wouldn’t want you to miss out on this great body.” he joked while posing in various positions. I chuckled as he did so, my hand moving to cover my cheeks turning red. Hangman grinning at my reaction.

Putting his hands on the table, he leaned forward across the table. “Do you have any plans later?” He asked.

Before I could get out that I was closing the bar later, Penny jumped in. “She’s free tonight.” Jerking my head towards her questioningly, she just smiled back.

“I guess I’m free tonight” I turned back to look at Hangman.

“Perfect, I’ll pick you up at 8 then.” he winked as he stood back up. Maverick yelled for everyone to come back. Jake started walking backwards, waving and smiling at me before turning around and jogging towards the group.

“I’m so in the danger zone of falling for that man” I sighed as Phoenix and Penny laughed at me. I chuckled along with them as my head started spinning at the possibilities that tonight could hold.
