Hey guys! 

We know that everyone has been super swamped with work from school, but we just want everyone to know that we’re still alive and kicking! We’re very much open to applications,  and we’ve got events, tasks, and so much more planned to revitalize Portland and hopefully see everyone get a bit more active. 

We’re excited to show you all the stuff that we have planned and we hope that everyone happily enjoys their upcoming Spring Break! Can’t wait to kick this all off!

Yeah! Things have been slower while people focus on school and their real lives, and even the admins have been pretty busy, but we're definitely still open.

DECLAN LEA is 22 years old. He is a MAKE UP ARTIST and is portrayed by BILL KAULITZ

            ( B I O G R A P H Y. )

Declan was born in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland to separated parents. His mother married when he was thirteen, when they also moved to London with the new family. Declan took his step father and his three daughters in really well, and refers to his step father as his actual father these days. His biological father lives in Germany and Declan hasn’t seen him since he was six years old. His step father Ivan owns a globally known construction company, so their livelihood was always secured. Declan always had friends in school and his grades were above average – he’s a smart and social, but his short attention span and big personality tended to get him in trouble with the teachers.

Aside from detentions and run-ins with the teachers in school, Declan’s life was simple and happy until he was raped at the age of fifteen. After that his world crumbled, he was using painkillers and self-harm to cope with the event. The flashbacks were so vivid he didn’t even know where he was and he was barely sleeping from the nightmares. His self-destructiveness got so bad that he tried to kill himself, after which he was hospitalized for major depressive disorder when he was eighteen.

After two years in a mental hospital, Declan needed to rebuild his life from ground up. He had graduated high school with above average grades, he had a great relationship with his family and he had friends, but he didn’t know who he was – he had been depressed for so long, that was all he knew. Declan turned his life upside down by first moving – out of the UK and to Portland. His older sister Ria joined him to help him adjust – her stay was not supposed to be permanent, but that one week turned to a month and then two and then it had been a year and they had a salon in Portland – Ria works as a hairdresser while Declan does the makeup.

Long nails, heavy make up, dreads, piercings and tattoos and Declan’s personality is as bold as his look. He’s definitely a people person, he’s talkative and approachable, but stubborn, loud and blunt – a little too blunt at times and he can be downright rude. He’s extremely defensive of himself, he’s always protecting himself from everything – the walls are up and he doesn’t let people in easily. He has a huge heart, but it’s locked up really tight.

RENZO SANTIAGO DEL RIO is TWENTY-SEVEN years old. He is a BAR OWNER and is portrayed by JASON MOMOA 

            ( B I O G R A P H Y. )

By an insane stroke of luck, Renzo was born in Hawaii to Mexican parents that desperately wanted to move to the U.S. and had happened to win a raffle for a week-long trip to the tropical state. This immediately awarded him dual-citizenship, and his parents used this to keep their little family in Hawaii for as long as possible, ultimately moving there permanently - the United States couldn’t leave a baby there without his parents, after all. And so, that was where he’d grown up, in a little house just outside the large, tourist city of Hilo. His parents fit in well, his mother becoming a landscape architect and his father as a translator, and as he grew, Renzo found the small, urban environment well-suited to him, though it had its problems. His white classmates constantly mocked his mother’s job, saying that it was fitting for a Mexican to be a gardener, no matter how steadfastly he denied it. They thought his long hair was weird and girly. He disagreed. The feeling of isolation plagued him throughout most of his school years, and once graduation came around, he wasn’t about to stick around.

Renzo arrived in Portland later that year, saying his goodbyes to his younger sisters and brother, his father and mother, and immediately took up a business management major at Portland State University, working at bars first as a bouncer, then as a bartender himself, once he was of age. Classes at the Culinary Institute taught him the finesse of a good drink and a better meal, and with this basic knowledge and considerable talent, he found himself slipping right into place in Portland, establishing a bar in the Pearl District, on 11th, just after graduation. Two years since, and business is booming, along with his commanding, cheerful voice in his multi-cultural inspired business, though this is due to a particularly positive review in Portland Monthly. Renzo’s a hard-worker, and now completely independent, he’s hoping he can just keep up with the young crowd.

Despite his deep, accented voice that’s none too quiet, Renzo is a bit on the introverted side, in part because of the bullying he experienced, but mostly because this is his natural disposition. He’s a good listener, organized, but has trouble with spontaneity and prefers his structured schedule to much else. He can be sweet and devoted, as well, but has trouble with attentiveness to partners and friends.  A little on the lonesome side, he adopted a Samoyed called Mochi once he started up his business and now uses her as an excuse to avoid uncomfortable interactions, of which he is none too fond. When faced with an argument, he often becomes distant and cold, out of a desire to avoid it.

They're both so dreamy, so both are welcomed, but I'd really love to see Michael around here!

Nope. The admins have been pretty busy with stuff so we haven't been able to manage stuff as much, but we're still here and accepting applications!

They're both such babes, but I know I'd personally love to see a Henry around here!

Music is pivotal to our daily lives, even in the most minute, mundane ways —- the song stuck in your head while you’re at the coffee shop, the tune you sing on your way home from work, the album that got you through those rough times.

Here’s a task that applies those experiences to your character: create a playlist for your character of songs you feel represent them best. It could be anything, ranging from songs they love, songs that make them happy, songs that make them sad, songs that could basically tell the tale of their life —- anything you see fitting for them!

You can make this through 8track or just linking things from Youtube, whichever is most convenient. This task is from February 22nd - March 1st. Please tag it as #portlandrptask2 so we can all see your work!
