"Tears in the Club' by Kingdom title track from upcoming debut LP out on 02.24.16 via Fade to Mind
Caught somewhere between the clouds & the depths of the underground club scene, Kingdom's music embodies moments of both tears of joy & anxious suspension. 3 years in the making, Kingdom's album debut features collaborations with SZA, Syd from THE INTERNET, & Shacar, in an 11-track collection of left-field pop songs. The music is a journey through Kingdom's psyche- enchanted, darkly atmospheric instrumentals & a crystalline femme soundscape- simultaneously erotic, melancholy + resilient. Recorded & mixed entirely by Kingdom himself, the sonics of Tears in the Club establish a mix of polished R&B & sample-based DIY production Kingdom helped to pioneer. After the success of producing records for alt-R&B mainstays Kelela + D∆WN, Kingdom here has been able to strike a balance with collaborators that matches his unique tone & fully realizes his vision of a club R&B microverse.

"Cement" by Klasey Jones taken from the upcoming Foreign Buyers Club EP out on 01.27.16 via Terrorhythmn
Plastician’s Terrorhythm imprint have been breathing plenty of life into the mutated, hybrid club sounds emerging from both UK & US beat-makers over the past 2 years, crucially spotlighting producers like Ganz, AWE, Patrick Brian & JD Reid for the 1st time. The latest name to emerge from the camp, Klasey Jones, has been bubbling under for the past year, with his tracks earning heavy rotation on Plastician’s Rinse FM show in particular — itself often a valuable resource for those seeking a link between grime, drill and instrumental, cloud-wave rap. Jones’ debut EP — the widescreen, cinematic Foreign Buyers Club — is a profound case in point, linking the above sub-genres with flashes of 80s synth music, anime OSTs & some genuinely one-of-a-kind sound design.

"Legend Has It" by Run The Jewels taken from the forthcoming album, RTJ3 out worldwide on 01.23.17
Run The Jewels have announced their hugely anticipated 3rd album: RTJ3, which will be self-released in partnership with RED Distribution. The LP features a cadre of talented guest performers, including Danny Brown, Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio, Trina, saxophonist Kamasi Washington + more, but the new album is first & foremost about the explosion of creativity born from the unique collaboration between Mike & El, a partnership-turned-friendship that has pushed both rappers to new heights in their storied careers. On their 3rd offering, Run The Jewels have turned their iconic "pistol & fist" imagery (conceived by El-P & drawn by Nick Gazin) 3D, rendering the original album cover concept as a sculpture of the hands cast in metal, chromed, & gold-plated. The resulting statues were beautifully photographed & brought to life by frequent collaborator Tim Saccenti, & grace the new album cover. RTJ has this to say about the artwork: "For us, the RTJ1 hands were about 'taking what's yours' - your world, your life, your attitude. The RTJ2 hands were wrapped in bandages, signifying injury and healing, which for us represented the growth in ideas and tone of that album. For RTJ3 the bandages are off, the chain is gone and the hands have been transformed into gold. For us this represents the idea that there is nothing to take that exists outside of yourself. You are the jewel." Last but not least, in celebration of the album announcement, the duo have dropped "Legend Has It", the 3rd new song from RTJ3. The track showcases the relentless back & forth lyricism, indelible chemistry, humor & bombast that Killer Mike & El-P are known & loved for. The song, & the entire album, was produced by El-P, & co-produced by Little Shalimar & Wilder Zoby.
RTJ3 TRACK LIST 1. Down (feat. Joi Gilliam) 2. Talk To Me 3. Legend Has It 4. Call Ticketron 5. Hey Kids (Bumaye) (feat. Danny Brown) 6. Stay Gold 7. Don't Get Captured 8. Thieves! (Screamed the Ghost) (feat. Tunde Adebimpe) 9. 2100 (feat. BOOTS) 10. Panther Like a Panther (Miracle Mix) (feat. Trina) 11. Everybody Stay Calm 12. Oh Mama 13. Thursday in the Danger Room (feat. Kamasi Washington) 14. Report to the Shareholders/Kill Your Masters
