Empath em•path /‘empaTH/ (n) - a person with the ability to understand or perceive the mental or emotional state of another individual. Empaths experience a great deal of empathy, often times taking on the pain of others at there own expense. If you or someone you know is empathetic, be gentle with them. Don’t overload them with your emotional baggage if you don’t plan to make it better. Empaths see with the eyes of another 👁 listen with the ears of another 👂& feel with the heart of another 🖤. There are 3 types of empaths: Cognitive - (sense) the ability to understand another’s perspective, Emotional - (feel) the ability to feel what another feels, & Compassionate - (care) the ability to sense what another person needs from you. Be mindful of yourself and others on this journey. Much more I’d like to discuss about this topic, but I’ll save the deets for later.
