Sian, I finally got around to reading your update on Road Back Home. I sincerely missed you and your writing so much it nearly brought me to tears seeing you updated. A lot of great fanfic authors have stopped writing Richonne and although I understand it still makes me sad our ship is slowly coming to a lull. I’m so happy you’re still writing for Richonne.

I hope you enjoyed reading that update as much as I loved writing it. I’m sorry my updates have been slow. Work has been terribly busy, and I have been emotionally exhausted. I’m slowly proofreading and editing when I find the time and energy. More updates are coming!

From the discussions I’ve had, losing Rick from the show has left a lot of my fellow writers feeling disillusioned. They’re just not feeling inspired anymore and it’s understandable. I’ve noticed, with my own stories, there’s been a drop in traffic and feedback, so it definitely speaks to low fandom morale. In saying that, there are still a few writers out there who are still writing and updating. Please let them know how much their works means to you, too. Receiving this message actually brightened my day! I will continue to write for Richonne for as long as people are reading and reviewing and enjoying the works.

@evealacran and I have been working on a Richonne high school AU that we’re excited about sharing soon. @weretheoneswhowrite are still posting new one-shots and series for our OTP. I’ve got fics in my drafts folder that I still haven’t posted, but plan to.

Our ship will always be here. Fic writers will ALWAYS be here. This entire fandom was built by fic writers and will be maintained by fic writers long after Michonne is gone from the show, too.

I’m feeling positive that there’ll be a resurgence in fics once Michonne leaves TWD. Fandom has this wonderful knack of fixing what TPTB ruin. Watch this space, my love. There are some good things coming.

Quietly I start my journey 

Self reflection at the forefront
