Project: The Everyday
In this project our goal is to photograph the Medieval Quarter of Limerick City and present how the old clashes with the new. For this project I chose to focus on the area of the old houses. Its interesting how the people living in the area bring the new into the old Medieval Quarter.

I found some crepe paper and decided to give it a go. I tore and stuck the paper on a balloon and in my opinion the bulb looks great.

I decided to cover my previous wire bulb in plaster paris. It was hard to create a bulb shape and I would definitely have to find another way to make it look more polished.

I dipped a daffodil bulb into wax and it created little blobs of wax on it as it dried. It gave the bulb a really cool texture.

I used this moldable wire to create the shape of a bulb. I’m still unsure if I should use something to overlap it or should I leave it as it is.

I decided to use wire again but this time I used thread. I really like the outcome of it. Its very interesting to see the pattern of the overlapping thread.
