Why I wrote a book

I've had some questions as to why I wrote a book, so I wrote a blog post on it. I truly believe we are in the midst of an evolution with small business. Work is changing. Small businesses are having a moment. In the last three years we have seen 16 million new business applications created according to the US Census Bureau. That’s a 50% increase than the previous three years. New van mod: Charging Station. I have plenty of USB and 12 volt outlets throughout the van, but I have several rechargeable accessories that routinely need to be charged. From flashlights, to cameras, to backup batteries to wireless radios, I needed a main area where I could plug all of these in, then have one switch to turn it on to be ready for the next adventure. Puppy Update: In the last inning of the Dodgers game yesterday, all went dark... literally. Jill found her now second Amazon Fire Stick remote. Quick on her feet, @courtneychyrchel downloaded the Firestick Remote Control app and was able to watch the rest of the game. Oh, and Jack and Jill? 25 years ago today I did what I told my Mom I was going to do when I first met @courtneychyrchel at 19 years old. It's an incredible thing to share a life and grow "better," not old, with someone. Mostly, you learn how to become the person you want to be. Courtney has always done that, even when I occasionally try to push against it. I truly believe that I wouldn't be the person I am today without her. Years ago in college, in a "How Men and Women Communicate" course, I stood up and said, "No, love doesn't conquer all. If you really want to test a relationship, go through a financial hardship with someone. If you make, they're the one." I still believe that today. Sometimes, you just have to trust that other person even when everything tells you not to.Thank you Courtney for loving me for so long and being by my side even when the ground was unstable.
