We're still ALIVE!

Sorry for being basically non-existent the past month.  We were just so excited about RPing as our characters, mod duties fell at the wayside.  (I know, we suck).

But, despite that, we do want to remind you that we still have characters writing and replying daily, and we'd love more people to join in on the fun.

Classes have now begun, and you can pretty much have free rein with what you'd like to do/where you'd like to go with you plot.

Activity warnings have been sent out for the characters that haven't been active in the last few weeks.  Everyone that received a warning has 1 week to reply, so if you are interested on picking up a currently taken character, sit tight as more may be opening up within the week.

Another Mod Update

It seems like the gods have it out for our mods... this time it's the other who has had a bout of bad luck.  Just be aware we aren't operating at full capacity for a few days, but that one of us is still around to answer questions, accept reservations, and review apps.

Wynafryd Manderly > fredmandlery | Second Year | Economics

Wynafryd grew up knowing that she was the heir to the family business, the oldest granddaughter to Wyman Manderly couldn’t really be anything else. She spent her childhood weekends with him, either at the company headquarters or on one of their ships watching him command his small empire, and she loved it. It wasn’t necessarily that she liked watching him conduct business but more that he treated her like an adult and took such obvious pride in her.

At home it was different. With her dad away with the army most of the time she spent half her time missing him and the rest of the time looking after Wylla; it wasn’t that her mum was bad at looking after them but it was always clear that she cared a great deal more about her absent husband than her daughters. Wynafryd loves her mum and sister a lot but it’s just not quite an equal relationship.

She grew up too fast really, which meant that most of her school years were spent without friends (and it didn’t really help that half of her peers’ parents were employed by Manderly Shipping). So she spent her time working hard at school and once she hit her teenage years she got herself a evening job tutoring too even if she didn’t need the money. She sells some of jewellery online too, necklaces and rings that people don’t even realise she makes.

She could have stayed in the north for university but she wanted a fresh start, a chance to perhaps make some friends. She started by studying business to please her grandfather but after a truly boring first two weeks she transferred to economics and discovered she loved it. However as far as the friends went her first year wasn’t particularly successful.

As she enters her second year she’s hoping that perhaps this year she’ll make an impact.

Have you made a Daenerys profile yet? I'm very curious about her character in this.

actually, we don't write up profiles ahead of time.  We let the person playing that character decide who their character will become.  With Daenerys, that is totally up to you.  She can be a student, a grad student, or someone outside of the university.  Rhaegar and Aerys are both dead in this RP, and there is suspicion surrounding their death.  Perhaps Dany is on a mission to implicate Robert and/or Tywin?  You can decide that.  If you'd like us to help you brainstorm something for her, just send us an ask, we'd be more than happy to help!

Cersei Lannister > proffesorcerseilannister | 43 | Professor | Accounting

Cersei Lannister had had it all, a long time ago. She was the queen bee at college, part of every society she could manage (fingers in all the pots, she’d called it teasingly), elected cheer captain, had dated the king of the social ladder back in the day. And what for? Success, of course. Cersei was keen to uphold the honour of her name, working hard in classes to try and beat the rest of her peers. 

Of course, with such a busy schedule it was easy to let things slip every now and again, especially when you do college with your twin brother. Especially as she never got the same prompting from her father as her brothers did. They were the ones who seemed destined for greatness, well, Cersei would surprise everyone and beat them to it. 

Now though, she’s back at WU, where her fortune began;as a teacher this time rather than a student. She always felt a little cheated that Robert Baratheon got the role of Chancellor over her father, whose money had been pouring into the University; sure, it was a while ago, but she’s not going to let it rest. Cersei practically feels like she runs the place anyway, she’s been here long enough, and enough of the family money has been pumped into the place, after all. Who knows, maybe this is the year there’ll be a Lannister as  Chancellor. Maybe this year, it’ll be a female Lannister. Maybe it’ll be her. After all, there’s no one better than Cersei for the job. 

She’s known as quite the ruthless professor, dare to turn in work late or ask for an extension and you’ll live to regret it, unless something is in it for her. Come to her outside of class hours to ask her inane questions and you’ll find yourself with a sharp retort, unless there’s someone “important” watching. She keeps her eyes on those students she thinks will do well, and tries to take them under her wing, so that other members of the faculty could contribute their success to her; and if they’ve got important families, well, it doesn’t hurt to have contacts, now does it?

Arya Stark > therebelliouswolf | 17 | Senior | High School

Arya could not be arsed with school.  She had never much cared for it, but now with both Robb and Sansa off at university, having all the freedom in the world, she felt stifled.  She wanted to be out having adventures just the same as them.  Instead she was stuck home with Bran and Rickon, both of whom were far too young to be worth her company.  She was practically an adult, she should be around adults, her parents didn’t understand her at all.

Always a rambunctious child, her rebellious streak has only gotten worse as of late.  Arya loves her parents, and tries to respect their authority, but she just can’t agree with their rules.  Over the course of the summer her sneaking out, drinking, and general troublemaking has only gotten worse.  She’s recently decided that her high school friends and their parties are beneath her.  She needs to experience the bigger and the better.  

WU can offer that to her…if only she was actually a student.  She’s begun sneaking in to college parties, and as long as no one recognizes her or discovers her age, her thirst for adventure can be satiated.

Robb Stark > heirofwinter | 19 | Second Year | Pre-Law

As the eldest of the Stark children, Robb has always felt the weight of his responsibilities in regards to his family name and business. Raised by his father to have personal accountability and ethics, Robb always knew he would succeed the family business and do right by it. But while he was always certain of his future, that didn’t mean he was certain of the path he would take the get there.

Having his end goal so certain meant he spent very little time thinking of the how. A small dilemma aided by Theon Greyjoy, his childhood friend, who often encourages pleasure before business, in a role reversal from their past. When he was first introduced to Theon, the older boy was sullen and haughty at times, often unwilling to socialize. When he was young, Robb didn’t really understand why Theon practically moved in with them, but it took some time while they were both at school for them to really become friends. Even after they both grew older and Robb understood Theon circumstances, their friendship remained. So while Robb was never certain of Theon’s ambitions, he was always certain of Theon’s loyalty to him as a friend.

This carried over to Westeros University when Theon transferred in after Robb was accepted. And while Theon had his fun, Robb balanced more responsibility to the mix. Despite being heir to Stark Corporation, Robb was never presumptuous about his position, and made easy friends with many other students.

Not wanting to just be mediocre and getting a MBA like many other heirs do, Robb chose to study pre-law at WU, with intentions of pursuing a business law degree after he graduates.
