Brody: I like that.

Brody: Wear something nice. If this is the only date I get with you, I want it to count.

Rachel: Tomorrow. I know you’re free.

Brody: Out to dinner. Not food from Mike at the hotel. And I’m paying.

Rachel: Then this is something we’ll need to talk about.

Rachel: Maybe even over dinner.

Brody: Over dinner?

Rachel: How long have you been interested in me and are you sure it’s not just because we spend 24/7 together - I’m always there. If anything were to ever happen, you’re my boss. I don’t want you to figure out it was just convenience and then toss me aside because then I’m out a job as well.

Brody: If it was just convenience, do you think I’d even bring this up? You’re the best assistant I’ve ever had and convenience isn’t worth losing that.

Brody: I like you, but I value you as well. I realize how complicated this could be.

Brody: You haven’t said much of anything.

Rachel: Maybe you’re the impossible one.

Rachel: For how long? I mean, like - I’ve been working for you for three years. Are you sure it’s not just because we spend all day together? Because that’s possible.

Brody: If you’re not interested, it’s fine. You can forget I said anything.

Rachel: Well maybe if you told me what you meant I would be able to respond appropriately.

Brody: See? Impossible.

Brody: I’m interested in you.

Rachel: You just -

Rachel: I asked what you meant and you said my company!

Brody: I was trying to be polite.

Rachel: Because that’s what I thought you meant. You are my boss. I didn’t think -

Rachel: Are you saying it wasn’t just work related?

Brody: I have basically asked you out twice during this conversation alone. Countless over the years.

Rachel: I think about other things all the time. I don’t actually live /in/ my office.

Brody: Then why is it when I say things like “let’s go get dinner” or “can I get you a drink” or anything else like that, it only means work to you?

Rachel: There has to be someone. You didn’t just create this business to sit behind a desk all day, and yet I don’t even know the last time you got to indulge in your own sex club.

Brody: When’s the last time you thought about anything but work?

Brody: That narrows it down to maybe half.

Brody: It doesn’t matter. I don’t want her.

Rachel: Oh. Because it’s not like Stacey is just there to spend time -

Rachel: Whatever, it’s irrelevant. I will be there at noon tomorrow with lunch. Sleep in and I’ll come get you when it’s time to work.

Brody: What about Stacey? Also which one is Stacey? What just happened?

Brody: Your company.
