Today I give you a model sheet for Purple Sapphire, one-half of the permafusion known as Iolite! She was designed for and is owned by one of my roommates.

What does Iolite think of Era 3?

Iolite is very happy in Era 3! Because of the dismantling of the Gem Heirarchy, they are free to be themselves and love being themselves, both Sapphire and Lapis together.

Star Ruby and Moss Agate make Bloodstone. Citrine and Coral Pearl make Honey Opal. What is a fusion of all of them?

Glad you asked! This is Tiger's Eye, the fusion of Coral Pearl, Citrine, Moss Agate, and Star Ruby. It's my first quadruple fusion for my Gem OCs!

How did Iolite's components meet?

I havent worked out a proper history for them, but I suppose in my mind, Iolite's components met on one of Blue Diamond's colony worlds, where they were both stationed. They both developed feelings for one another, but due to the strictness of the caste system and Lapis' own reserved demeanor, those feelings never came to light until the start of Era 3. Once their colony was dissolved, the two were free to be together and embrace being Iolite.

Here's another spread featuring a fusion of two my brothers' Gem OCs-- (re)introducing... Fire Agate! Fire Agate is the rock n' roll fusion of Citrine and Star Ruby, embodying their larger than life personalities and mutual penchant for showmanship. Her weapon is an axe guitar, a combination of Citrine's battleaxe and Star Ruby's megabuster.

Introducing Iolite-- Iolite is the permafusion of Powder-Blue Sapphire and "Shy" Lapis, and has complete control over water on a molecular level, instantly changing its state of matter from liquid to ice. They are cool, collected, and soft-spoken, with positive vibes that extend out to everyone they meet.

New Fusion Debut! Meet "Rhodey", the Rhodonite fusion of Coral Pearl and Star Ruby! This is the latest in a series of fusion spreads featuring the fusions of mine and my brothers' group of OCs. Rhodey wields a gunsaber, a fusion of Coral's rapier and Star Ruby's megabuster!

What words do you describe Star Ruby's personality?

I'd describe Star Ruby as having attitude above all else-- she's rebellious and headstrong, and loves feeling powerful. She's cocky, energetic, and full of fire.

A model sheet for Moss Agate, one of my younger brother's Gem OCs. I believe I've posted fusions that incorporate them before, but never showcased their design on its own! This is the second version of the character-- the previous iteration was not corrupted as she is now.

Do any of your gems like Era 3?

Most of my Gems embrace Era 3. Moss Agate (who I don't recall if she's been pictured here or not) is more reluctant, but doesn't make too much of a fuss about it, and is surrounded by friends who help her adjust. Spessartine, Coral's former owner, however, is very much opposed.

How do you describe Spessartine Garnet's personality?

She's a Holly-Blue type-- that being, she is very strict, no-nonsense, and loyal to the Gem empire. She doesn't tolerate any deviations and seeks to groom her colony into the ideal colony under Yellow Diamond. Gems who step out of line are rejuvinated, shattered, or, in the case of proven warriors, made to fight for the entertainment of the upper-crust in the colony gladiator pit. She loves entertainment, but onlyso far in that which is demeaning or dangerous for lower-caste Gems. TLDR: She's a real piece of work.

I decided to redesign Coral Pearl's Spessartine, slightly update Coral Pearl's original regeneration, and do art for Citrine's original form! Because Spessartine originally owned both of them (Coral was her personal Pearl and Citrine her bodyguard), I decided it made sense to put them all together. I hope you enjoy!

This Fire Agate is the fusion of my brother's gem OCs, Star Ruby and Citrine, whom you may have seen as components to some of the fusions with my own gemsona, Coral Pearl (also pictured)! This was a lot of fun to do, and Fire Agate was overdo for an update. Tell me what you think!
