It’s honestly shocking how fast cis women will jump to reject something that benefits them just because it also benefits trans people.

Like, the checkboxes that ask what organs you have without asking your gender? Fantastic for trans folks because they can tell the doctor what anatomy to be concerned about without misgendering themselves. Also fantastic for cis women who’ve had surgeries like hysterectomies who would probably rather not have the doctor blame every medical issue on something uterus related. Maybe I want insurance to cover my Pap smears but also maybe a lot of cis women who don’t even have uteruses would like the hospital to just give them the treatment they need without completely pointless pregnancy tests.

No one is afraid of the word woman. We just think accuracy would benefit everyone here.

we can have discussions about autism and ableism and how society sees us without spreading misinformation.

autism is a lifelong, often debilitating neurodevelopmental and genetic disorder that affects how one communicates and interacts with the world. it is not “just being socially awkward” or “social anxiety.” it is a neurological disability. start treating it like one.

so here's the back of an (English) Pokemon card, right

Here's the thing: the Pokeball is rendered incorrectly. In every other medium, the button in the middle stays with the red upper part, not the white part on the bottom. Even the illustrations on the TCG cards themselves get this right:

The problem is that it's hard to update the card backs because it could tip people off as to which cards are the newer ones during gameplay, so now there are just thousands of English Pokemon cards with an error on them that you will now never unsee

i feel like every human should max out at one disability or chronic illness. like when i hit adolescence and my brain chemistry went “bipolar time now?” the response should have been an error message like sorry! this slot can only contain one (1) item and has been filled with childhood asthma. i would even allow the possibility that you can overwrite previous disorders like “you have equipped chronic migraines and so no will no longer display symptoms of bipolar disorder.” i just think it should work that way.
