I remember that when I was younger, I was surprised when my friends told me that they're parents scolded them in a way that would make them sad... My parents never yelled or got furious and agressive over me... And I thought that was the normal, the expected.

It was a chock for me when I discovered it wasn't! That most parents would scream and even hit their child!

I hadn't realized until then that my parents were more comprehensive than the other ones.

They wouldn't scream and hit me, they would have a conversation about why I shouldn't do that, and why is it wrong, even because I was so young, I probably wasn't doing it on purpose.

And as I grow up, they did ground me, but they always try to understand why I did something, and they are doing the same to my brother.

I think I turned out quite great, and I trust my parents, most of my friends don't trust them and wanna move out and never see them again as soon as possible.

So, thank you mom, thank you dad, you guys are awesome, I love you <3
