WELCOME TO FALLOUTBOYLYRICSS

hello! thought i'd make a little intro post first to talk about what this blog is and what i'm going to do with it. my name is evan, i'm autistic and fall out boy has been one of my longest running special interests (9 years so far!). i love making random lists, and i often do it with lyrics from my favorite artists. sometimes i make these lists into sporcle quizzes (my username there is whatacatchisle if you're interested), but most of them just kind of sit there unused. so i figured, why not make a blog to share those lists with people who might be interested? so that's what this is! i will be posting lists of fall out boy lyrics by keyword, so for example my first few posts will likely be colors, names, and places. some posts will be broad categories like those, and others may be specific keywords. i will have my ask box open if anyone wants a post from me for a specific word or theme, so don't be afraid to make requests! i don't really know if anyone is going to care about this blog at all, but i figured it was worth a shot since i already have so many lists essentially pre-made, i don't lose anything if this does end up flopping lol

this blog was directly inspired by @taylorswiftandx, seeing the traction their blog has made me think maybe my little lists would be worth sharing as well, so shoutout to them for the great work they do over there, definitely go visit their blog if you're also a swiftie!!

pete from patrick's pov makes me feel so insane. what if u were just a kid and u hated urself and u were so mad at the world and suddenly this cool (kinda unstable) guy finds u and decides to make u his little brother & his savior & his rival & his better half & his voice? and u think he's crazy but also the words he writes make you see literal colors and no one has ever been so proud to love u. so u stay and love him back. for twenty years. what then?

do you guys ever think about the real life hat symbolism present in the fall out boy lore. patrick not particularly into wearing hats until pete gives him this linus blanket stupid wool fashion hat for his anxiety and he's never seen without cheap trucker hats & the occasional baseball cap ever again. until the band breaks up & patrick has his little fairy godmother makeover style change moment and he drops the hats. nothing to hide behind. except then the band gets back together and he starts wearing hats again. but they look different. arguably more stylish, undeniably more mature. no longer an obvious attempt to hide. and now we're overwhelmingly back to unassuming baseball caps. but sturdier, more expensive. like if i wrote this in a piece of fiction it would be too on the nose
