She has a rather tragic backstory and very much keeps to herself. You will be playing either Miss Alma Pergrine herself, or an ymbryne OC of your own. The only thing I ask is that your oc is centred around the 40s-50s time period (so not terribly mdoern), that she is from scotland or nearby, and is aged 30-40. I have a wonderful plot idea (if I do say so myself) which includes action, hollogasts, and kidnappings, as well as some softer moments of fluff and hurt/comfort. I would love for a mother-daughter relationship to slowly form between our characters <3

I haven't posted in a while, and I’m not sure when my queue ran dry, but I wanted to check in and share a personal update. I don’t know who still follows my posts, but this is more for my own peace of mind than anything else.

I live in Western North Carolina, about an hour from Asheville and two hours from Boone. Our region has been devastated since Thursday, September 26, 2024, when Hurricane Helene made landfall. Floodwaters wiped out Chimney Rock Village, destroying homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Asheville is submerged, only accessible by air. Tragically, over 160 lives have been lost in WNC, with many still missing. Our communities are unrecognizable.

My family was displaced from our home due to the storm. While our losses pale in comparison to the devastation elsewhere, they are still deeply felt.

Last Friday, the storm brought relentless rain and wind. Our power went out, and soon after, our ceilings began to leak. What started as a few drops quickly turned into a downpour inside our home. Every room had water streaming from the ceiling. Our kitchen and dining room flooded, and the smoke detectors eventually shorted out, blaring all at once. Thankfully, family members braved the storm to get us out.

After the rain subsided, my husband and I returned to retrieve some belongings, only to find that the ceilings in every room had collapsed. I’m incredibly grateful that my children and I weren’t home when it happened. While I care little for the loss of my own belongings, my children have suffered the most. They’ve not only been uprooted from their home but have also lost their sense of security. Their beds, toys, books, and clothes are all ruined and will need to be replaced.

This isn’t a post asking for handouts. We will find a way to move forward. However, if anyone feels compelled to help in any small way, it would be deeply appreciated. Any donations will go directly toward replacing what my children have lost.

In the meantime, I encourage you to support the many families who are also in desperate need. I've included a link below to a list of organizations accepting donations for hurricane relief.
