I appreciate how The Hobbit films took the opportunity to turn Thorin's greatest liability as a leader as the one that also flips the figuratively switch on his crazy plan to save them at the end of DoS.

Dwalin: "The plan's not going to work. These furnaces are stone cold."

Balin: "He's right - we've no fire hot enough to set them ablaze."

Thorin (a dwarf who has for two films has impressively pissed off just about every being they've encountered) thinks to himself the Dwarvish equivalent of "Hold my beer. My time has come".

Proceeds to insult Smaug into such a rage that the dragon tries to kill them all by lighting everything around them on fire, including the furnaces that will help them attack and hopefully incapacitate Smaug.

no matter how terrible my day is. i can always end my day in bed imagining fictional characters making out sloppy style and fucking raw. and that's beautiful. there's some good in this world mister frodo and it's worth fighting for

I've heard this headcannon once or twice saying that Hobbit's sleep in piles. So i had to interpret that but with Thorin, Bilbo and Frodo, in the end i had the fluffiest family feels doodle ever.

I think Frodo would definitely be a kicker when he sleeps. And when he's sleeping with Bilbo and Thorin and gets out of control with his kicking (Thorin being his main victim), he has to get carried back into his own bed.

Thorin would snore, especially when hes comfortable and is feeling safe. When he snores, he's probably also having the best sleep ever. Bilbo got used to dwarrow snoring while travelling with eleven of them and Frodo's a heavy sleeper (he could sleep upside down if he wanted) so it never became a problem.

So … today I got “The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug Chronicles Cloaks and Daggers”. I browsed through it, read here and there bits of it and came to the chapter about Bilbo’s Laketown Outfit. Here is what I found:

Of all things they could have said about that cloak (starting with “It was so long on the Hobbit that it dragged on the floor” to “It was so long on the Hobbit that he had to watch out to not step on it.”) they chose the wedding comparison.

I don’t say Thorin and Bilbo so got married in Laketown, but they so got married in Laketown.
