The level of information gathering in Revenged Love is next-level. I've seen murder mystery shows that put less effort into connecting the dots than Wu Suwei and Dr. Xiao. I really thought I might end up disliking Wang Shuo in the drama but nope... I don't.... He matches the freak of the other 4 I am down bad for.

But he doesn't match their freak freak.

So for my poly, it's just going to the main 4 and Wang Shuo shows up every now and then to steal food and crash at their place like a stray kitten which is free to roam.

wait I forgot about that show where the main character gets amnesia and has to fall in love with his husband all over again and his husband doesn't want to tell him that their relationship started with the husband kidnapping and raping the main character as revenge for something he did to husband's brother. that show had a side character who was given to a guy, might have been mafia, as punishment possibly also to do with the brother and I'm pretty sure he wore a collar. so they have existed in thai BL for longer than I remembered yesterday. I wonder if that was the OG collar scene?

After episode 16 I am curious of the two Wang brothers who do people think the real villain is. I am torn (no book spoilers please).

So, I guess the show is really not using it as a plot device and I can finally post without fearing that it is a spoiler.

In the danmei, Wu Suowei is colourblind. He just learned to cope with it (like when driving, he stops when other cars stop due to traffic light).

The most absolute insane thing is that nobody knew he was colourblind except Xiaoshuai. Heck, he didn't even know he was colourblind until Xiaoshuai told him he was. He really thought everything is either grey or some shade of yellow 😅

So, in the novel, Wang Shuo was verifying his suspicion that Suowei is colourblind by commenting on Suowei's clothes, knowing that Chi Cheng loves to choose clothes with subtle colour patterns on it that a colourblind cannot see.

Suowei's colourblindness would have played a part in Wang Shuo's ultimate plan to sow chaos.

But in this scene, Suowei's top is black over white with no visible pattern (unless my eyes deceives me).

So, yeah. I guess the show is gonna use something else.

I can't get a read on this Wang zhen guy. He seems nice and chill on the surface, and I think he might genuinely care about wsw to a certain extent (a cross of 'lost puppy must protect' and subtle attraction ugh)

But the way both chi cheng and Wang shuo call him a "chameleon" with a very glaring negative connotation is giving me the creeps. Plus WS talking about how much WZ bullied him as a kid (and possibly now too, in other ways) idk I just. he makes me deeply uncomfortable lol I can't trust him yet get away from wsw pls
