What If Garmadon Won
(Sorry this took so long, but its here now! Please enjoy the story that I am so proud of. If you have any questions, feel free to send me your question/thoughts in my ask inbox!)
Atop of a small hill surrounded with dark colored stones with ancient writing attached to them, Garmadon stood there with a new power surging through his body. The ritual was complete. And he felt great! The bone that was displayed on his helmet seemed to have grown due to the new power, protruding spikes at the ends that bent upward, resembling clawed hands reaching towards the sky. He could feel the possibilities of what he could do with his powers growing! Garmadon looked around himself, the ground around him looked as though it was dyed black, moving around like some parasite aiming to spread its darkness. He then looked toward the ninja who were surrounding Wu, his brother. His dead brother... He took a moment to realize what he did. He did it… Finally! Lord Garmadon gained the power to take over the world, and the only way to access this power was to build it up by not moving? That was a drawback he could get behind! And now he was rid of one of his greatest enemies. Only six more to go, but not now. Now was the time to travel back to Ninjago, and assert himself as ruler. But before he could, he needed an army.
Garmadon focused his destruction energy through his hands and fired it outward in front of himself, creating the first mindless soldier of his army. It was dark in color, its skin appearing rough and coarse, like stone. The ninja watched in awe and horror, witnessing the first of many new uses of his power. Garmardon looked behind him to see the stunned ninja. Good, he thought with a smile of malice, they won't be a problem for now. He turned away and summoned even more soldiers in an instant, making around a hundred, all having the same stone-like skin texture, emotionless faces, weapons made from Garmadon's energy that was hardened to a steel like material standing and awaiting orders. He looked at them with such pride, pride that rivaled the red ninja's earlier excessive boasting. "An army I can create out of thin air. This will do nicely." Garmadon said with a great amount of content, but not fully. One needed a touch up.
Approaching the first soldier he made, Garmadon reaches his four hands outward to the soldier and begins infusing them with more of destruction energy, making the soldier fall to their knees and seem to writhe in pain. Its dark rough skin turned to a bright white with symbolic tattoos to show its loyalty to Garmadon, its skin also seeming more fleshy in nature. Its torso began extending in height, making it taller for its new set of arms to grow, making it resemble its master. Red armor formed around its body as its transformation was complete. It stood back up, appearing just as tall as Garmadon before bowing down, along with the soldiers behind them. It seemed like this one was also made smarter and would substitute as a leader to the army if their master wasn't around, which was not Garmadon's intention, but a welcome addition. Before Garmadon could give the army their first order, his body began to feel weak and the bone on his helmet returned to normal. Was this because he used up too much energy in creating this army? He didn't have much time to think upon it further as he collapsed, his elite soldier catching him before he could fall to his knees.
"Dammit!" He exclaimed to himself, realizing he had run out of energy for his new power-up. He needed to leave, to regain some strength and to return to Ninjago. "Bring me to-" Before he could give the first order, a shadow casted over him. He looked back to see his son Lloyd, the green ninja, in the air with his sword, taking advantage of his weakened state and ready to attack his father. The white soldier raised one of its arms to gesture towards Lloyd, commanding some soldiers from the back to jump up to block Lloyd, to protect their master from getting hurt. With their weapons, they pushed Lloyd away from Garmadon. The rest of the ninja joined the fight, exhausted, but angry enough to ignore their own exhaustion. Their sensei died at the hands of this monster, and now they are seeking revenge. Around 12 soldiers from the army behind Garmadon were ordered to fight the ninja, or at least hold them off for Garmadon to retreat. "Get me to the beaches, I need more time to store up my strength!" He ordered, his elite soldier nodding before picking up their master to start retreating to the beaches of Dark Island.
"Get back here you coward!" Lloyd shouted. Blinded by rage to his father, he ignored any cuts to his body when charging through the soldiers blocking him and began chasing Garmadon into the forest between the hill and the beach, leaving his teammates to deal with the outnumbering soldiers behind him.
"Lloyd, no! We need you here!" Nya shouted at him, trying to get him back to help fend off the soldiers attacking her. Lloyd looked back at his team that were struggling against the army and back to Garmadon, who couldn't help but smile slyly, knowing Lloyd would have to pick between his team, or kill his father. Luckily for Garmadon, Lloyd chose the former. He rushed back to his team to help defeat the soldiers, and allowed Garmadon to escape. Lloyd cursed himself out in his head because of it.
"What the heck are these things made of? My fire barely phases them!" Kai shouted in annoyance, fending off 3 soldiers at once but not hurting them much, only using his fire to propel them backwards while melting what he could off their bodies.
Zane responded to Kai, "I don't know, but they appear to be made of stone! Cole, can you control them?" He asked, freezing one of the soldiers in place, which took a lot of effort.
"I've tried that already, but this stupid 'stone army' is made of something else!" Col responded, blocking two soldiers' attacks with the handle of his scythe.
Once he got back to the battlefield, Lloyd attacked one of the soldiers from behind, stabbing them in the back and through their "heart", killing it instantly and making it vanish into thin air. "They're not made of stone, I can feel they're made of Garmadon's destruction energy!" He explained to the others, attacking more of the soldiers and killing them with his team.
Garmadon was brought to the beach that was closest to the main island of Ninjago, still being carried by his elite soldier with the rest of his army behind them. "Put me down." He ordered his soldier. He was gently set onto the sand, where he sat down and did not move. "My army, stay at my side and protect me as I gain more power!" He ordered. His army responded by surrounding their master, weapons ready. The elite soldier being closest to Garmadon, looking around for the ninja.
The ninja finally slayed the last of the army that had stayed behind to distract them, breathing heavily from the exhaustion. "Dammit!" Lloyd swore to himself as he sat down on the hill, angry that he let his father get away. He felt a hand be placed on his shoulder, feeling comforting. Lloyd looked up to see Kai, giving a warm smile. “Don’t worry, we’ll get him.” He assured his friend. “But for now, our sensei needs a proper burial.” Cole pitched in, placing his weapon into the holster on his back as he walked towards Wu.
“You’re right.” Lloyd agreed, standing back up and joining his friends in picking up Wu’s body, and walking away in the opposite direction of where Garmadon went to find a good burial sight.
Despite being called “The Dark Island”, it had some awe inspiring views. The best view came from the top of a tall mountain, surrounded in snow with the view of the sun falling and the moon rising across the whole world. The perfect burial sight.
“I promise, I will stop my father, once and for all.” Lloyd promised over Wu’s grave, the other ninja behind him. Nya and Kai came close to tearing up, while Jay was crying on Cole's shoulder. “I believe it is time to go after Garmadon. We don’t know how much more powerful he is now that we’ve been away for so long.” Zane suggested to his friends, and they agreed with a nod, turning away from Wu to climb down the mountain. But before Lloyd would make his way down the mountain, he looked back at Wu’s grave with a tear falling from his eye. “I love you, Uncle.” He said, hoping Wu’s spirit could hear his words before descending the mountain.
Hours passed after leaving the mountain top, each ninja slowly regaining their strength from the battle before. Lloyd and Kai were restless, however. They were determined to finish the fight before Garmadon could leave the island. They walked across every beach that was parallel to Ninjago, hoping to find Garmadon and his army before they left for the mainland. They didn’t have to wait that much longer, the army that Garmadon ordered to surround him and protect him was still standing, ready to attack. Kai was ready to jump in, and attack the army head on, but was stopped by Zane. “Not yet, we need a way to get some away from Garmadon, and destroy them before going after more, thinning out their forces.” He whispered to Kai, stopping the hothead in his tracks.
“He’s right.” Lloyd added. “Zane, run surveillance with your falcon, find out what Garmadon is doing that needs protecting.” He told his friend before falling back with the gang to hide out of the army’s sight. Once far enough away to not alert the army, Zane opens his stomach hatch for his robot bird to fly out over the army undetected. Sitting atop of a tree close by to Garmadon and his army, Zane looks through the bird’s eyes, looking down to the center of the army, zooming in to where Garmadon was.
“He’s just… sitting there. Meditating?” Zane relays to his friends.
“Just sitting there?” Nya asks.
“Yes.” Zane responds. “Hmm…” Looking more observantly, he notices the bone on Garmadon’s helmet slowly transforming back to how it was after completing his ritual. “I think he’s gaining power through meditation.” He theorizes.
“Zane’s right.” Lloyd confirmed to the others. “I can sense his energy growing more and more as he sits there, that’s probably why his army is standing around him.”
“Then we need to pick off his stone army, fast!” Jay pitches in, trying to set Zane’s earlier plan into motion. The ninja nod to each other, splitting off into three pairs of two. Kai with Zane, Jay with Nya, and Cole with Lloyd.
Off in the distance, the army noticed a few trees shaking violently. “Investigate the noise.” The elite soldier ordered a few of the regular soldiers, obeying their commands, to leave and investigate. Walking a good distance away before they were ambushed by Cole and Lloyd from the shadows of the Dark Island’s forest.
Far off to the right from the shaking trees, a different tree was set ablaze, catching the attention of most of the army facing that direction. “That could be Kai, after him!” The elite soldier ordered, sending more soldiers than before towards the burning tree. After running a minute away, the soldiers find Kai leaning against the burning tree, greeting them with a salute. They run towards the red ninja before Zane sneaks up behind them, freezing them solid before they could reach Kai, unable to move.
While the elite soldier was distracted by the trees, some soldiers behind them began to disappear. One by one in quick succession they vanish without a trace when in reality, Jay was using his super speed to grab the soldiers and drag them to Nya for her to finish them off, but with too many disappearing, the elite soldier took notice and readied their guard.
Once the army was thinned out enough, the ninja closed in on them from all available sides with their weapons drawn and ready for battle.
Now was the time to end this.
Lloyd and Kai rushed in towards the army, slicing a few soldiers in half with their swords on their way to Garmadon, Jay supported them by quickly hitting any soldier planning to intervene. The elite soldier got between them but was tackled out of the way by Cole, the only one strong enough to move that soldier clear out of the way of the other two, bringing it to where Zane was to fight the soldier together.
It was now a clear line to Garmadon, where they would defeat him. But Lloyd noticed something, he still wasn’t moving. Why wasn’t he moving? Twitching? Hell, he hasn’t even opened his eyes this entire time! Why? Many more questions ran through his head as the gap between their greatest enemy shrunk quickly. When Lloyd and Kai got closer to Garmadon, swinging their swords to go for the kill. But they were blown away very far and in the blink of an eye, thankfully that speed was slow enough for Jay to catch them.
“Ow… What just happened?” Kai asked, holding his arm in pain. “How the heck did we get blown away? We didn’t even hit him!” He complained through that last sentence.
“I don’t know…” Lloyd responded while rubbing his head.
“Uh, guys?” Jay said in an attempt to get the other two’s attention. “He’s getting up…”
Lloyd and Kai look back towards Garmadon, who was fully standing up at that point, twisting his lips into a sinister grin. “Ah… Much better.” He said to himself, rolling his head back to pop his neck before looking back at Lloyd. “You were just a tad too late, son.” He called the other out before looking out towards the ocean. But from his point of view, he was looking right at the coast of Ninjago.
“Had you come to get me instead of burying my brother, you might have stopped me. So much for the nobility.” He taunted his son, hitting him where it hurts his heart. The gang had finished the whole army at this point, the elite soldier had been encased in ice and Cole picked them up and swung them around before throwing the soldier far into the ocean.
The ninja surround Garmadon, but not too close as to not risk getting blown back from whatever hit Lloyd and Kai. Garmadon waves his hand, summoning a portal to Ninjago and begins walking towards it. The risk didn’t matter anymore, they had to get him before he could go through that portal. Jay, the fastest ninja of them, ran ahead, getting in front of Garmadon and tried pushing him away, but the brute just kept walking, paying no mind to the blue ninja. Once he realized pushing wasn’t working, he began running around Garmadon, punching all over with blistering speedy punches.
That got Garmadon’s attention. He began blocking whatever attack he could whilst tracking his movements. Very quickly after Jay began his assault, Garmadon catches the blue ninja’s wrist, leaving Jay stunned at the fact that he caught his arm. And without wasting another moment, Garmadon throws Jay toward the second fastest ninja, Kai, who was flying straight at the other two using his flames to boost himself forward, but got knocked out of the air by Jay’s body.
Garmadon walks forward yet again, stepping a foot into the portal, then the rest of his person. Looking behind him to see Lloyd diving towards the portal. He was so close to the portal, but not close enough as the portal then shuts right in front of his face. Lloyd face-plants into the sand, quickly getting up and taking his hood off his head in disbelief. He began looking around for the portal, hoping he just missed it. “No… No no no no!” He shouted since he couldn’t find the portal. “NO!” He fell to his knees, tilting his head back in anger to yell into the air.
“FATHER!!!”
Back in Ninjago, Garmadon walks around the city, a dark aura radiating off of him with each step. He walks into the middle of the road, where a car was heading straight toward him, not having nearly enough time to stop, it crashes into Garmadon. But he wasn’t moved one bit, the engine of the car bends around Garmadon’s body while the man driving flew halfway out of the windshield. “Augh… What the…?” He looks up at Garmadon, who looks down at the man as if he were just some bug. “O-oh shi-” Were the last words that came out of the man’s mouth before passing out from the pain of broken glass in the man’s body, and the shock of seeing Garmadon right in front of him.
Garmadon scoffed at the unconscious man before looking back forward and walked once again, casually dragging the car a few feet before it let go on its own. His sights were planted towards the tallest tower in Ninjago, which just so happened to be right in the middle of the city.
But before he made too much progress, he created some more of his stone army, the amount being many times bigger than what the last one had. It pays to save up this much in just a few hours, he had enough energy left over to upgrade some of his soldiers into elites, which is exactly what he did. He had enough to make six elite soldiers before going back to his original state of being. “Elite soldiers, carry me to the tallest building in Ninjago, and make sure I can gain more energy on the way.” He ordered, where four would nod and interlock arms to make a semi-platform for Garmadon to climb on to and sit, which he did, and they make their way to the same tower that Garmadon was thinking.
“The other two elite soldiers, take a portion of the army and cause some distractions for the ninja when they arrive, have some fun!” He commanded the two that followed behind. They nod, taking around 100 regular soldiers each and going their separate ways to cause some chaos.
Back at the Dark Island, Lloyd looks towards the horizon, thinking. How was he going to defeat his father? That question plagued his mind as he waited.
The other ninja were behind him arguing on how they were going to get back to the island. “Nya, you literally control water, can’t you just create a bubble of air around us while we walk under the ocean?” Asked Jay.
“Jay, I love you, but please consider the fact that you are asking me to hold up tons upon tons of water over our heads while we walk for who knows how many hundreds of miles. I don’t think I can hold it for even half a mile. Sorry.” Nya responds, trying to shut down that idea as politely as possible.
Jay looked upset that his idea wouldn’t work. But a new one came to mind! He looked at Cole and was ready to speak before Cole raised his hand to stop Jay before he could say anything. “I can’t create a land bridge that long without killing myself halfway through making it.” Cole said, disappointed he knew Jay would suggest that, Jay looking more upset that his new idea was shut down so easily.
“Same thing with me and an ice bridge.” Zane pitched in before Jay could even think of the idea.
“Oh come on!” Jay complained. “How will you guys know if you don’t try?! I mean, we have to try something if we want to stop Overlord Garmadon and his stone army!”
“‘Overlord’ Garmadon?” Zane asked, “Why change his title? And the army isn’t made of stone, they are made of Garmadon’s destruction energy like Lloyd said.” He explained, being too literal as per usual.
“Well the army seems too much like stone to ignore the details. With their stone-like skin and faceless heads like statues! Plus! Cole called them ‘stone army’ first!” Jay quickly pinned the blame to Cole. “And I think we are way past ‘Lord’ Garmadon, he’s way more powerful than he was before, so why not give that little power-up a title?” Jay quickly explained his reasoning before trying to come up with more ideas to get across the ocean.
“Enough with the titles, Jay. I have a way to get us to Ninjago.” Lloyd chipped in, turning around and joining his friends, seeming to have calmed down a bit. “The four headed dragon is on its way to us, thankfully I still have a connection to it from this far away and called it over.” He explained, sitting back down on the sand and waiting for the dragon.
The other ninja nodded and sat down with him.
“We’re going to beat him, y’know?” Jay says to Lloyd, trying to comfort his friend as best he could.
“We might have to kill him though.” Zane admitted. “If we lock him up, he can just gain enough power over time to break out of any prison we put him in.” He explained, “So we will have to kill him. But are you ready… to kill him?” Zane asked, looking over to Lloyd concerned.
“... I- I don’t know.” Lloyd responds. “Part of me really wants to kill him for killing Sensei Wu. But the other part of me wants my father back. Back to the man I remember before he was taken over by his own power and transformation. I mean, Wu told me I had the power to take elemental powers from others, so if I could just take his power from him, that would be great! I could have my father back and we could live happily! But… I know he won’t make it easy.”
“Well, whatever it comes to, I know we will win.” Cole reassured, patting Lloyd’s shoulder a bit too hard, which made Lloyd chuckle slightly.
“We may have to strategize on how we’re going to defeat the Stone Army easily.” Nya chipped in. “We only beat that one big group because of stealth tactics, but when we get to Ninjago, they will be expecting us.”
“The dragon could take care of most of them on its own, but wherever Garmadon is will most likely be flooded with the Stone Army.” Zane responded, his explanation brought a sense of relief and some more concern with how they were going to deal with a bigger army than before.
“Not to mention that one upgraded soldier, Garmadon could make plenty more if he gains more power from meditating.” Kai added, clearly being a bit put off by the elite soldier from before.
“As long as we do this together, we will win this.” Lloyd finalized the conversation with some semblance of hope to back him up. The ninja nod, looking back out to the ocean in hopes of seeing the dragon soon.
An hour had passed when the dragon was spotted over the horizon. Jay gave an energetic cheer at the sight of the dragon landing in front of them. They quickly get on the dragon’s back, with Lloyd at the saddle guiding the dragon back towards the mainland. It didn’t take long before Ninjago was in the ninjas’ sights, and what they saw shook them to their core. At first, it was just some dark clouds, they thought it was an unfortunate timing for a storm to hit. But once they got closer, and the shore was under them, they realized the clouds were not some mere unfortunate timing. The lightning that struck was purple, the same color of Garmadon’s destruction energy, and Lloyd took quick notice of that fact.
The city was overrun by the stone army, citizens were being chased around by stone soldiers, most taken prisoner in different parts of the city.
“What happened to this place?” Cole asked as he watched in horror of the whole thing.
“Overlord Garmadon took over Ninjago with his stone army!” Jay blurted out in fear and shock.
“We have to save them!” Kai declared, ready to jump off the dragon and fight the army terrorizing the people on Ninjago, but was stopped by his sister, Nya. “Nya, what are you doing? Let go! Don’t you want to save the people too?!” he asked, trying to get out of Nya’s grip.
“I do want to save them! But going down there while we haven’t properly rested before fighting Garmadon will not make that fight go in our favor!” She explained back to Kai, to which he calmed down and sat back down on the dragon scales beneath him.
“Then what are we going to do?” Kai asked, hoping someone had a plan.
“We go after Garmadon immediately.” Zane calmly spoke up. “From the information I’ve gathered from our previous fights with Overlord Garmadon, only he is able to create these stone-like soldiers, and they cannot make more themselves. Meaning if we take down Garmadon first, then the soldiers will not last long after.” He explained, with all the other ninja nodding in agreement to the plan, except Lloyd who was focused on directing the dragon towards their destination.
“But what about the people down there right now? Many could get killed if we don’t make it to Garmadon in time.” Cole stated with more worry in his words.
“The dragon will take care of them, we will get off close to where my father is, and the dragon will fly around the city to protect any citizen it can find.” Lloyd explained his plan to Cole, reassuring him.
“But where is Garmadon?” Jay asked, seeming annoyed they haven’t seen any signs of the four-armed menace.
“He’s up there.” Lloyd announced to them, gaining their attention to where Lloyd was pointing, at the top of the tallest building of Ninjago, where the eye of the storm that surrounded Ninjago centered, and where the clouds seem to be spreading from.
“Aw man… We have to get to the top of that!?” Jay complained, “Why can’t we make the dragon fly us to the top?” He asked, really not wanting to scale the whole building.
“Because if Garmadon notices the dragon before we make it to the top, he might be able to bring us down, making us have to climb the whole thing anyways. And we can’t risk the dragon’s life before it has a chance to save some of the people.” Zane explained, which didn’t make Jay feel any better.
The dragon landed a few blocks away from the building, crushing a couple stone soldiers under its feet in the process. The ninja jumps off the dragon, landing safely on the ground. Once off, the dragon would take flight again, going around the city to protect the citizens as Lloyd had commanded it to do.
The ninja ready their weapons, ready to face off any soldier that may attack them before looking down the road that leads to the tower that Garmadon was on. Fear set in for most of the ninja, but they were ready to fight nonetheless. They begin running down the road together, but stop in their tracks after making it a block away from the building as they see a massive army surrounding the building, following their orders to protect Garmadon.
“Oh crap…” Jay muttered out. “We gotta fight all of these guys before making it to the building?”
“Yes we do.” Kai responded, punching his palm with a small explosion to make it look more dramatic.
“Let’s do this.” Cole chipped in, readying his scythe.
“Ninja GO!” They shouted in unison before charging into the battlefield.
Atop of the tallest building in Ninjago, Garmadon was sitting down, his destruction powers leaking out of his body to create the storm clouds above him. He was getting real good at not moving a muscle while still using his powers, a very useful skill indeed. Plans of world domination rushed through his head, bringing him joy to the images of disaster that were produced from his mind.
The four elite soldiers that had carried Garmadon up the building approached their lord, kneeling to their master. “Lord Garmadon, the ninja are here at the bottom of the building.” One of them relayed. “They are taking many of the soldiers down, and they are surely going to win against the army. What shall we do?” Another asked, awaiting their orders.
“Hmph. You think too little of the situation, their stamina has yet to fully recover. I’m not expecting them to lose to the army. I’m going to kill them while they are exhausted.” Garmadon coldly explained to his elite soldiers. “But, you can go down there and help the army in exhausting them further for me. I am in no need of your protection up here.”
“Yes my lord.” The soldiers acknowledged the order and leapt off the side of the building. As they fell, they took notice of the ninjas’ defensive tactics. Pillars of fire were all over the place, set up by Kai to have some control of the battlefield. Large deep pits were made in the ground by Cole, made to trap some of the soldiers that fell in, some of them having spikes at the bottom. Many blitzes of lightning were quickly moving around, disintegrating many soldiers in its path. A large triangle shaped block of ice had trapped a large chunk of the army inside with Zane standing at the tip of it. Nya and Lloyd fought many of the soldiers with their weapons, and rarely used their elemental abilities to save their stamina for the big boss. All this information was quickly gathered up by the elite soldiers before they landed at the center of the battlefield, breaking the ground underneath them.
“Guys! There’s four of the stronger ones!” Kai announced it to the others, hoping to get some help in fighting them. Lloyd rushed in quickly, trying to stab one in the back before it could do any harm to the others, but the attack failed. The elite soldier moved out of the way, even grabbing the blade to keep Lloyd from moving before backhanding him in the face, sending him flying backwards. “Your sneak attacks are no use against me, child.” It boasted before driving the blade that was still in its hand into the ground.
The ground would begin to shake beneath the elite soldiers, but they knew what was happening, Cole was trying to bury them. They quickly jumped away in separate directions from the pit before it formed, where one would then be met by a sphere of water floating in the air, and it headed straight for it. Unfortunately for the soldier, it cannot fly away, so it was forced to enter the water bubble and was unable to escape due to Nya keeping it in the center. “Zane! Freeze this guy!” Nya ordered Zane, to which he complied, throwing his golden shurikens up towards the bubble. They would begin circling the bubble before freezing it from the outside inward, now effectively trapping it inside of the now ice ball.
Another soldier was heading towards Jay, who just finished his batch of the army. The soldier landed a sucker punch to the back of his head before landing a few more blows to his body. Jay quickly used his speed to run away a few meters from the soldier. He spun his nunchucks behind him, charging them with power before blitzing around the soldier, hitting it plenty of times faster than it could track him; without warning, the soldier would find itself wrapped up by the electric coil that connected the nunchucks, which had extended its length to trap the soldier. Before the soldier had a chance to escape, Jay began shocking the soldier with the power of hundreds of lightning strikes, killing the soldier and disintegrating it quickly.
The other two soldiers headed towards Kai, where he would quickly fly away from the two, not wanting to fight them directly. A pillar of fire was summoned from beneath the soldiers, who walked out of the pillar with a few scorch marks.
“Dammit!” Kai cursed out before having an idea. He landed on the ground, bracing himself as he used fire to summon on the soldiers bodies, acting as propulsors to push them back away from the battlefield, far away. But the soldiers held their ground, struggling to walk forward as the force was barely enough to push them back. Kai tried making them bigger, but it didn’t work, they just kept coming.
Cole watched the whole ordeal and had an idea. He drove the tip of his scythe into the ground, shifting the earth beneath the soldiers to trip them, losing their footing and forcing them backwards like Kai intended, directing them towards the ocean that separated Ninjago and the Dark Island to not be able to return to the battle any time soon.
A few more minutes of combat had passed, and the ninja were victorious against the army. The soldiers surrounding the building had vanished to the wind when they were defeated, giving the ninja relief as they don’t have to worry about them coming back to fight again. Though they had little time to rest as some more soldiers had begun to invade the base of the tower from the outskirts of the city, wanting to protect their master.
“Shoot, what do we do?! We can’t fight these guys AND fight Overlord Garmadon!” Jay exclaimed, waiting for someone to have an idea.
“We climb! We can’t afford to fight more of these guys, so run!” Lloyd ordered his friends while pointing to the external staircase connected to the building’s side. The others nod, rushing to the stairs to climb.
“Zane, ice the staircase behind us!” Lloyd requested. Zane nodded, letting everyone else pass him to cover the staircase behind them in ice so the army could not follow. After covering a couple flights, Zane stopped and ran up them with his friends.
“Alright guys, the final battle is upon us! No matter what happens, it will have been an honour to fight with you all!” Lloyd admitted, trying to get mentally prepared for the worst as they climbed together, enjoying these moments with his friends as it was possibly for the last time.
“Don’t talk like that Lloyd, we’re going to win this!” Cole assured the team leader.
“Yeah! We’re not going to leave your side that easily!” Kai added.
Ignorance can sometimes be a beautiful thing, it can act like blinds that cover up some horrible origins to how things are made, or what tragedies are occuring close by. And at this moment, as the ninja are hyping each other up for the upcoming battle, they too were ignorant. Ignorant of just how powerful Garmadon had become in just a few hours.
Finally, after so many grueling minutes of climbing, they were one more flight of stairs away from the top. So much for saving their energy for the big fight, each ninja was exhausted from the fight at the base and the long climb up the stairs. Jay took a hit from his inhaler to keep his breath from shortening out.
“Here we come, father…” Lloyd said with nervousness behind his words, but now was not the time for that. Now was the time for the fight for freedom.
They climbed to the top, and spotted him instantly, though it was hard not to since the pressure in the air weighed down each ninja enough for anyone to notice. He was faced away from them all while his destructive energy radiated out from him in a menacing aura.
“Hm… Kai. Jay. Nya. Zane. Cole. And Lloyd…” Garmadon spoke first. “I imagined you six would make it up here sooner.” He taunted while standing up, the clouds that were being made from his power stopped seeping out from his body.
He would turn to the ninja, showing off just how much he had changed. His skin was now a dark charcoal color, his eyes had changed from blood red to a corrupted purple. And all though his body language told them that he was relaxed, with his hands cupping themselves, and his muscles slacked. The twisted, sharp toothed smile, and eyes that hungered for prey told them to stay on their guard.
Each ninja held their weapons ready for any surprise attacks, but Garmadon wasn’t moving, just watching them. He was amused that they thought he would attack, and waste this opportunity to gain, even if it's just a little, more power from standing still, from waiting.
Lloyd sensed Garmadon’s power growing as they stood, and the realization finally kicked in. “He doesn’t gain power from meditating… He gets it from not moving!” Lloyd announced to the others, not caring if his father now knew that they know how his power works.
With that announcement, Kai, the hothead, used his fire to explode himself forward out of the group to face Garmadon. “Kai, no!” Nya cried out to him, but he didn’t listen her. Kai made himself look ready to swing his sword to slice at the man’s neck, but quickly changed his trajectory to fly over his head and swing for the left shoulder. But the feint failed. Garmadon’s reaction speed grew greatly enough to read Kai’s quick movements to catch the sword with his bare hand. Though the sharp edge touched his skin, it did not cut. Instead, he used the sword to throw the red ninja away toward the parapet wall surrounding the edge of the building’s roof. Kai’s back hit the wall, cracking its structure. Dazed, Kai sat himself up from his current position, where his clearing view was quickly filled with the same smile from before, inches away from his own face. The adrenaline that pumped through Kai’s body didn’t inform him of something worse than the face in front of him, but the adrenaline faded and the pain slowly introduced itself in his chest. He looked down to see his own sword plunged into him, into his heart. He looked back up in horror about what had happened to him before Garmadon took the sword out from Kai’s chest, and casually tossed the sword off the side of the building as he walked away, allowing the others to be with him during his final breaths. A luxury not every ninja will get afterwards.
“KAI!” The others shouted as they rushed to his side, tears instantly being shed by his sister, who took his hand, staying with him for as long as possible. “Why did you do that?” She asked through the tears that were pouring down her face. “You were supposed to wait for us to fight together!” She scolded.
Kai coughed out some blood before speaking weakly. “I-I’m sorry, Nya… I th-thought I was at least going to get one arm… H-Heh, didn’t go as planned…” He admitted through a slight chuckle, followed by more pain and blood filled coughing. Soon, the coughing stopped, and so did Kai’s breathing. Lloyd jumped in to try to use his power to seal the wound in his friend’s chest, and Jay joined in to try to restart his heart by using his hands as makeshift defibrillators. But to no avail, the life had already left Kai’s eyes, his breathing stopped, and the grip he shared with his sister’s hand loosened from being limp.
Kai was dead.
“Kai?” Nya asked. “No… Don’t leave me…!” She begged the body of her deceased brother, very much traumatized from watching him die in her hands and not wanting to believe it.
“Nya…” Lloyd softly called out to her. “We need you right now.” He spoke with a shaken breath. He and the others were staring at Garmadon with rage filling their eyes and souls. Nya reluctantly let go of Kai’s hand and picked up her weapon, standing back up to join their side.
“Finally done with your goodbyes?” Garmadon spoke out, his cruel taunting tactics were known by the others very well, but it didn’t stop it from hurting them so much. “I do hope you said your goodbyes to each other as well.” He admitted before shifting his body to a battle ready stance. “Because once we begin, you will not have the chance.” He declared with the same smile from before.
In the same instant, both sides begin running at each other. Jay and Cole seemed to have disappeared from the others, but to Garmadon, he knew that pesky blue ninja was the reason and knew their path, attacking from behind. Garmadon stopped in his path and turned to have both groups at his sides. If he still only had 2 arms in total, he wouldn’t have been able to catch Nya’s spear, Lloyd’s sword, Cole’s scythe’s blade and Jay’s nunchucks at the same time. Using his new strength, he tossed Lloyd and Nya against Zane, whom he was not able to catch, and sent them flying to another wall. With those distractions out of the way for now, Garmadon kicked Cole away, forcing him to let go of his scythe as he was blown back, and used the hand holding Jay’s nunchucks to pull the ninja toward him as his other hands twirled the scythe around to bring a devastating stab through the the top of the poor boy’s head all the way through to underside of his jaw, killing him swiftly.
Garmadon let go of the scythe, letting the ninja fall to the floor while keeping a grasp of the nunchucks.
“FATHER!” Lloyd shouted as he rushed back to Garmadon right after Jay hit the floor. Garmadon turned his body to face Lloyd and catch his son by his neck, stopping him dead in his tracks.
“Tsk tsk… Dear boy, it’s not your turn yet.” Garmadon informed his son before knocking him back again to catch Nya who was attempting to take advantage of Garmadon’s distraction. Instead, using the bottom set of his arms he held her arms out to the side while the top wrapped the electric cord of the nunchucks around her neck, pulling the cord till it was taut around her neck, and even tighter than that. Watching in amusement as she tried to get away with horror filling her eyes, before her neck snapped under the increasing pressure and her body being the next to go limp after losing its life.
“NO!!” Cole cried out before breaking off a piece of the wall behind him and throwing the chunk of stone right at Garmadon.
Garmadon dropped Nya’s body as casually as any monster would, letting go of the nunchucks but catching the spear before it fell with the body and using it to destroy the stone with ease. He tried to walk forward, but noticed his feet were frozen in place by Zane. “Hmph.” Garmadon scoffed at the attempt before pulling his feet out of the ice and began walking towards the android, breezing past any offensive option that Zane threw at him. Zane threw his shurikens in an attempt to freeze Garmadon further than just his feet, but the white ninja quickly came to realize that the effort would be for not as Garmadon twirled the spear around with great expertise, getting the blunt end of the spear through the center holes of the shurikens, effectively capturing them. He rushes forward with great speed, though the attempt to penetrate the spear into the white ninja was dodged. Best not to underestimate the processing power of a robot ninja. Zane may not be as fast as his deceased friend, Jay, but he made up for it with skill. Even though the dark lord wielded 2 golden weapons at once, Zane was able to parry and dodge the other’s attacks with slight ease. This was troublesome, Garmadon thought, he may be hard to deal with one on one. Let’s add a new player, he thought. Without any warning, Garmadon quickly turned his attention to Cole, who was standing still in his feeling of terror from the situation before getting rushed at by the four armed brute.
Though he was slow to react to suddenly getting attacked, Cole managed to stop the motion of the golden spear that Garmadon undeservingly wielded. But unknowing to the black ninja, Garmadon took the shurikens off from the other end of the spear, holding a shuriken in each of his bottom set of hands, ready to freeze Cole from the inside out by stabbing his unprotected stomach.
Luckily for Cole, Zane was quick to get in the way of the shurikens, catching one of them by grabbing Garmadon’s wrist, but the other managed to pierce his neck. Though it didn’t manage to get too deep since he held Garmadon’s other wrist as well, just not in time.
Some sparks of electricity erupted from Zane’s neck, showing that even though it didn’t penetrate too deep, it still did some damage.
Garmadon let one hand go from the spear and used it to summon a ball of destruction energy, pressing it into Cole’s torso, sending his now unconscious body flying towards the edge of the building. Lloyd dove behind Cole’s body, hoping to absorb some of the force from his friend’s trajectory. It worked, but they were sent flying over the parapet wall. Lloyd managed to grab onto the ledge of the wall and Cole’s ankle at the same time, preventing the two from falling to their doom.
With the distraction now done with, Garmadon took advantage of having Zane basically pinned down in front of him and used the spear to stab into the android’s head. Zane moved a hand in the way of the spear’s head, but it was for no avail as it pierced through his hand, then straight through his head, destroying his power core and killing him swiftly.
Garmadon left the powerless robot there with the spear still inside, like a statue to remember this scene by. But the time for revelling was not for right now. Now, it was time to finish this whole event.
Keeping the shurikens in his lower hands, Garmadon walked toward the wall that Lloyd and Cole were hanging from. Garmadon nonchalantly grabbed his son’s hand, gently pulling him and his friend up from the ledge, getting his son to safety. Lloyd was confused at how kind his father’s handling was toward him to the point of almost letting his guard down until he saw the remains of Zane. He quickly went to kick his father, but was blocked by his lower arm, where he would then quickly let go of Lloyd’s hand and grabbed tightly around his throat.
“Quiet Lloyd.” Garmadon ordered his son in such a tone that sounded like he was punishing him. “Just watch.” Those two words brought great fear and worry upon Lloyd. He flailed his legs and his free arm to punch and kick at Garmadon, only to notice that it wasn’t even phasing him. He watched in horror as Garmadon used his free upper hand to pull Cole’s ankle from his son’s grasp, holding him still over the edge of the building.
Without any words from being spoken, Garmadon raised his lower arms to stab the shurikens into Cole’s arms, freezing them solid before doing the same to his legs as to make sure the ninja couldn’t use his elemental powers to save him. Garmadon then tossed the shurikens to the side, before shattering Cole’s frozen arms, and the leg that he wasn’t holding on to. “Hmm…” Garmadon pondered. “Can’t have him unconscious the whole time. We need to hear his screams.” A wicked smile formed on his face as he pressed two fingers against Cole’s temple, infusing that spot with destruction energy, causing immense pain and forcing him to wake up screaming in pain. “AAAAAAHH!!! MAKE IT STOP!!” Cole screamed out, writhing in his limbless body from the pain from his temple and the freezing pain of having his limbs being shattered.
“If you insist.” Garmadon responded in kind to Cole’s ‘request’ with his smile growing wider. His grip tightened around the black ninja’s frozen ankle, shattering it like glass and allowing the ninja to fall from the building to the bottom. Cole’s screams got quieter and quieter as he continued to fall to his death, and once they were no longer able to be heard, Garmadon’s laugh began. From a low growling chuckle to a loud ferocious cackle.
Lloyd, on the other hand, was not laughing. With his throat being tightly squeezed, he couldn’t scream out his friend’s name, or for his father to stop. He was helpless, and all he could do now was cry. His tears streamed down from his face and onto his father’s hand, where they evaporated from his pitch black skin.
Garmadon’s laugh slowly came to an end as his son began to cry in his hand.
“Aww, what’s wrong, my dear boy?” Garmadon taunted his son with a sarcastic tone. “Did your friends get hurt?” He continued, walking away from the ledge and began pacing around the building’s roof with a devilish grin seeming to be permanently plastered onto his face.
Garmadon passed Lloyd to another hand, now holding his son by the back of his neck with the same grip as before. “Look around Lloyd. Look what can be done with my power.” He boasted as he waved his son around to look at Ninjago city. Many buildings were on fire, their smoke adding to the clouds that were made by Garmadon.
“And the eight of you thought you could defeat me with this power?” He asked, though there were only 6 ninja, he still had some respect for his brother to include him. But number eight belonged to the four headed dragon, which Garmadon forced Lloyd to watch as the dragon laid at the top of a large and wide building to support its weight. Its body was being swarmed by Garmadon’s stone army. Like ants tearing apart a chunk of meat for their colony, the stone army tore away at the dragon’s flesh, successfully managing to tear off one of its wings, cutting off ice dragon head, and killing the other heads by stabbing through their skulls and slitting their throats.
Lloyd watched the city wide disaster in horror, tears flowing down his face as he could do nothing else.
“And now, you have a decision.” Garmadon proposed, dropping Lloyd onto the floor, which he wasn’t expecting, so he landed on his knees and wrapped his own hand around his neck in an attempt to ease the lingering pain. His head was held low, not wanting to look his father in his eyes, mostly from anger, but also shame. Garmadon kneeled onto one knee. “You can either die here, and join your friends and dear Uncle Wu in the afterlife. Or…” He knelt further down to be on the same eye level as his son. “You can join me at my side.” Lloyd lifted his head, not believing what he heard. Join him at his side? Why would he do such a thing after what happened today?
“We can rule Ninjago together! As father and son!” Garmadon appealed, or at least tried to. “I promise not to kill anyone else, if that sweetens the deal further.” He ended his proposal to the green ninja, extending a hand out to his son and awaiting his answer.
Lloyd thought about it, and he made sure it looked that way. No more deaths? Is it worth it? Should he even gamble the possibility of a false promise? Can he trust his own father?
No.
No he couldn’t. He can not abandon all that he stands for! He can not forsake the very reason he joined the other five ninja in the battle against Garmadon! The reason… to save his father.
Lloyd reached his hand out to Garmadon’s, looking ready to take the deal. But, in a mere second, his eyes filled with determination as his hand managed to wrap around Garmadon’s neck to hold him still. He placed his other hand onto his father’s chest, and began his attempt of stealing the elemental ability of destruction! He is going to take the power. He is going to save his father from himself! He is going to save everyone!
Those thoughts drove his determination, they drove his body from trying his damndest to steal his father’s power.
But those thoughts were killed off swiftly when he looked up to see the unamused expression of his father. Garmadon slowly moved his top pair of hands to grab both of Lloyd’s wrists to easily pry them away from his body.
“Wh- what?” Was all Lloyd could muster from within the drowning amount of dread he felt.
“And here I thought you would be reasonable.” Garmadon scolded before delivering the heaviest right hook Lloyd has ever received to his gut, knocking the wind out of him and bringing him to his knees yet again and rendering him immobile.
“You would have saved hundreds- no. Thousands of lives, had you just taken the deal.” He began pacing around Lloyd, taking in the horrific sight of the dead ninja with pride.
“We could have ruled, without any more bloodshed! But… You had to ruin it. Because now I know that even my own son would betray my trust.” He ends his pacing when he gets behind Lloyd. “And with that revelation, I will kill anyone who gets in my way.” With those last words, Lloyd realizes what his father meant and turns to block the attack, where his eyes meet the sight of his father readying a massive zweihänder sword that he wasn’t holding before.
Garmadon swings the sword, cleaving through Lloyd’s raised arm and neck without much resistance.
As he watches his son’s body and head fall to the floor, his sword disappears in a similar fashion as his stone army when they are defeated. He shakes his head in disapproval before walking to the parapet wall of the building, taking in the sight of destruction that had been laid across Ninjago City.
He breathes a sigh of relief over the fact that the war was over; now his rule may begin. He walks past the corpses of the ninja towards the stairs that had coiled the building, descending slowly, and victoriously.
After an hour, Garmadon makes it to the bottom, where his army was waiting for him, on their knees with a large cage built behind them holding whatever residents were left hiding around that they had found.
Garmadon’s evil laugh shook the citizens of Ninjago to their core. Hope had been lost to them when they saw Cole’s body hit the ground a while ago, leaving a mess of guts, bones and shredded black clothes. But Garmadon making it to the bottom, all alone no less, made them realize this was their lives now. Fearing Garmadon for their survival; there was no one left with enough power to stop him.
Garmadon has won.

Another Update
I updated Lloyd's powers, giving him a new ability that just makes sense to me and makes me wonder why it's not in the actual show already, but oh well.

Update!
I am currently writing down my first story... "What If Garmadon Won". And it's taking a loooong time, cause holy hell, writing down action scenes between 6 characters fighting and army is time consuming and takes a LOT of thought... BUT it's getting there. I'm hoping for the whole thing to be done by the end of this month, but no promises since I'm writing down the before, during, and after of the Garmadon winning and the before part is taking the longest to write.
Anyway, I hope you guys are looking forward to reading it as much as I am to posting it!

Differences
My stories take place in my own version of Ninjago, an alternate universe of sorts. And with being a different version of the main series, there will definitely be some differences from the main series and my version, and this post will tell you the differences!
Similarities
Before I get into the differences, let me go into the similarities. Now of course, the main metaphorical skeleton of the series is still present in my version, that being The First Spinjitzu Master, the offspring of a dragon and an oni, leaving their home dimension to create Ninjago using the golden weapons of spinjitzu. He had two sons, Wu, and Garmadon. Wu, baring the power of creation, and Garmadon, baring the power of destruction. Garmadon has a child of his own with Misako, naming him Lloyd. Who later becomes the Green Ninja and joins the other ninja: Kai, the red ninja and master of Fire. Zane, the white ninja and master of Ice. Cole, the black ninja and master of Earth. And Jay, the blue ninja and master of Lightning. Under sensei Wu's guidance, they band together to defeat Garmadon before he can take over the world.
But I'm sure you knew that already. Now for the differences!
Differences
For this section, I will tell you the differences for each character, being the differences in their powers, relationships, health, and more if they need to be specified, or if I want to mention them. Side note: I will be using powers or characters in different media/franchises to make comparisons to make the powers easier to understand. And with that, lets start with the biggest difference for a single character!
-Sensei Wu He is dead.
After following Garmadon to the Dark Island, Wu and the ninja find Garmadon, battling him together while he is in the middle of a ritual to give him a new power. And in the middle of the big fight, Garmadon is able to use a new addition to his destruction powers to make a dark purple colored energy blade in his hands, and use it to stab Wu in his heart, killing him right before Garmadon finishes the ritual and leaves the Dark Island to take over the main island of Ninjago.
-Overlord The Overlord no longer exists, instead his idea/name will be used for...
-Garmadon Garmadon is the main villain in every story that I have in mind at the moment of writing this, not the Overlord. Instead of being the reason for turning Garmadon into the way is his and possessing Garmadon on Dark Island, the Overlord is now the name of Garmadon's new power that he obtained after performing a ritual on Dark Island. And Garmadon's appearance of a black body with red eyes and four arms is due to his elemental powers of destruction slowly corrupting his body to more so fit the appearance of an Oni from The First Spinjitzu Master's home dimension. In turn, also getting rid of his Oni form shown in later seasons of the show now that it's just appearance normally.
In order to tap into the "Overlord State" Garmadon has to be standing/sitting/laying very still, drawing energy from his surroundings to power himself up. Like how the Sage mode works in Naruto, also effectively making this powerup a temporary one as using too much energy makes him exhausted and ends up exiting the power boost.
In Garmadon's Overlord state, his physical strength is increased, as is his reaction time, able to keep track of Jay's movements that will be discussed later, He is also able to wield his destruction powers with more expertise, forming objects made of solid destruction energy, like blades, armor, and something that takes more of his energy, his "stone" soldiers. They are made of solid destruction energy, but appear to be made of stone given their texture, which also gave them their name. But if Garmadon wanted to make them more powerful, he would have to spend extra time and energy to make them last longer in a fight, giving them four arms like himself, armor, and a new texture, being more fleshy but way more durable.
He is also able to alter the weather in his Overlord state, summoning dark clouds, purple lightning, storms that last for months on end at his beck and call. The more destruction energy he collects while standing still, the more extreme the weather and its effects can be.
-Lloyd Garmadon Lloyd is much older than his is in the show, no longer needing that one episode of the show where he is aged up with the other ninja to bring them to normal and defeat the enemy of the episode. Now he is roughly the same age as the other ninja.
His elemental power of Energy stays roughly the same in how it works in the main series, though two new powers have been added to his arsenal. One of those abilities is to be able to power up his friends in battle, increasing how much power output they can produce, or extend their stamina, making them last way longer in a fight or when using their own abilities.
The second ability is to take away someone else's elemental powers. While other elemental wielders are able to give their powers away to anyone they choose, most of the time just passing them to their offspring, Lloyd can take them by force, though it takes a lot of effort on his end. It is made easier when the elemental wielder has perished.
Lloyd now has his own golden elemental weapon, like Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay, his being a Golden Dao Sword, which he wields it later on in the show. I just decided to just make that his golden weapon.
-Nya Nya is now a part of the team of ninja from the very beginning, starting at the same time as Kai. She was never kidnapped by the Skulkin. Instead, she fought them along side Kai. After driving them away, they both listened to Wu's story about the golden weapons and his brother, Garmadon wanting to possess the weapons' powers to take over the world. Kai not wanting to join and focus on being a blacksmith, joined them anyways after Nya's nagging him to join her and Wu to the monastery to learn the ways of spinjitzu.
Nya also has a golden weapon of her own! That being a golden spear. Since in later seasons of the show, and movie, her weapon of choice is a spear. Her weapon is also the only one that is able to change form, changing from a spear to a trident whenever she wishes.
Her powers are similar to that of a water bender from the Avatar: the Last Air Bender series, some of the differences in her abilities include that she is able to blood bend without the need of a full moon, though it takes a lot more concentration. She does not need to use martial arts to move water or waves, she does it anyways since it helps her concentrate better on using her powers. Final difference, she cannot manipulate ice like water benders can, that power is obviously for...
-Zane His powers remain the same to how they work in the show, freezing his surroundings however he wants, creating snow, ice walls. Though his powers have evolved slightly in my version. His able to create ice weapons, using his Shuriken of ice as the handles for the weapons. He is now able to create snow clones of himself, able to move independently from Zane's control, but still following his orders. Since they are made of snow, they are very easy to destroy. He mostly uses them as a form of camouflage, since his uniform is still white, and so is snow, he blends in with the clones, escaping a battle easily with them.
While is able to make ice out of thin air, he teams up with Nya often to make a bigger amount of ice, using her water to freeze over a larger area.
-Kai While I used water benders as an example to how Nya's powers work, It would make sense to say Kai is like a fire bender... but that's not how I imagine his powers working in my version of Ninjago. Instead, his powers work more akin to Endeavor (Enji Todoroki) and Katsuki Bakugo from the My Hero Academia series. Able to shoot fire and explosions from anywhere on his body, giving him a boost in speed, power, and unlike Endeavor, he doesn't have to worry about overheating his body to the point of a heat stroke.
Still the lovable hothead of the group, he tends to rush into battle, wanting to take down the big bad as soon as possible. Or at least exhaust the opponent enough for his friends to join in later to finish the fight.
-Cole Cole is more or less the same in my version of Ninjago as he is in the main series. Just boost his level of control over the earth and how much he can control and we're good! I'd say the main difference between my version of Cole from the main series is that he is heavily dependent on his Scythe of Quakes. He is very skilled in using the weapon and using his powers through the scythe, once the scythe is out of his hands his ability to use his powers goes with it. While he is still able to use his powers without the scythe, he is not at all able to wield them with such grace as he does with the weapon.
-Jay Jay is now a lightning wielding speedster! I thought to myself, if Jay is the elemental master of lightning, why isn't he as fast as lightning? SO, that's why he's a speedster! He's not nearly as fast as actual lightning in my version, but he is still really fast. And his mastery over electricity is more advanced. He can fire electricity from his hands or anywhere on his body to zap his foes, and if he wanted to, he could connect that electricity though multiple enemies, like an electrical web where his enemies are the points that connect the electricity.
And I wanted to give him something that I thought would be cute in an ironic sense. He now has asthma! I have asthma myself, and I wanted to give the fastest character in my version of Ninjago a little nerf that made it more relatable to me. Also, using his superspeed takes a toll on his stamina, making him become exhausted quicker than his other teammates.
Ending bit
If you made it to the end of this, and like the changes that I made for nearly every character, awesome! I'm glad you took the time to read the changes, and hopefully you won't be confused as to why certain characters do certain things that they aren't able to do in the actual series.
I will note: Everyone's character traits and personalities have nearly been untouched. I'd say the biggest difference in personalities is Garmadon's. After completing the ritual to gain greater strength, a side effect of the ritual is that he no longer cares for his family, and is entirely hell bent on taking over the world for himself. He will kill his own son if it came to it.
Anyways, now enjoy my stories as they come out! See ya!
