#6 Do what you love !
I spent my whole day working on my school project (programmation, python) and I didn’t even used the pomodoro technique because I didn’t wanted to stop working ! It’s like when u watch your favorite serie, the day passes very quickly. It’s exactly what happened to me, but it was something that I had to do because of school. The reason is because I was doing something that I like to do : programming.
I want to say that if you do something that you really love, the day will end quickly and u will be satisfied of your day. This makes me think that having a “dream” job is something that I wish for everyone and I hope I’ll have this “dream” job to be able to be happy in my life. Everyone knows the famous quote of Confucius :
Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
I guess this is true; work hard when you are young enough to be able to not work when you’ll be older.
Find what you really love to do (what you love the most) and DO IT. No matter what happens in your life, you can do it because other people were able to.
That all for today, I didn't worked at all the next day because I wanted to take a break and enjoy my holiday with friends :)
Tomorrow = work !

#5 Why does it work ?
Last time I talked about a lack of motivation, and I asked myself how to defeat this unmotivation. I said that maybe it was because I didn’t have enough works to do (it sounds paradoxal but I don’t know...)
So today I put myself more works to do and... I can say that it worked pretty well. It’s still not logical for me why it’s working (or it looks like).
When I have a lot of works to do on my to-do list, it’s like there is something forcing me to achieve it. To be honest I still don’t know why because when I used to create to-do lists in the past it never worked for me.
Ok, sometimes I have to say that my mind is telling me sometimes “don’t work, you can do others things where you don’t have to put big effort in” but this thought is deleted instantly, I don’t know how. It’s really strange for me because I used to give up quickly.
I need to see if this will continue through the days, if yes, it will be like magics for me (I’m not gonna lie).
Well, today my to-do list was :
☑ Clean workspace      ☑ Revise one math’s chapter      ☑ Revise another math’s chapter      ☑ Pay for the CROUS record      ☑ Continue my school project      ☑ Make research for personal python project

#4 The difficult phase
Ok, so I guess I’m entering the “difficult phase” where motivation is decreasing. Today wasn’t a really productive day, my to-do list of the day was :
☑ Make a playlist of musics      ☑ Keep revising math      ☐ Pay for the CROUS record
There is not a lot of things in the list and only 2/3 were made. So now, how to not let the unmotivation win ?
I’ll try to organize my day better and i’ll try to force/push myself to do it. In fact, I had the power to work / focus on my revision but I had the feeling that I was able to do way more work to be full productive and I think that’s why I think my motivation is decreasing.
So, for the next day, I’ll give myself more works to see if this is why I’ve a lack of motivation.

#3 A way to focus
Today I had a to-do list of 4 tasks : (sorted by priority as always)
☑ Revise math chapter 1      ☑ Revise math chapter 2      ☑ Fix bank issue      ☐ Set objectives
I’ll write about how I did to focus on my revision (regarding to what I’ve read on internet). Yesterday I cleaned my workspace (to-do list of #2), thanks to that it was really easier to organize myself and my work. I’m really happy that I have done this.
I wrote on my notebook that it was good to focus with music (ok, I was already doing this to focus) but music without words. So I played some “chill playlist” on Spotify, it was great to focus. The main problem was that I didn’t like the musics in these playlist so I wasted a lot of time trying to find good musics. I’ll have to create a good playlist of at least 6 hours of musics that I like (and good musics to focus on).
Ok, so I revised my maths lesson and I did exercices (the best way to progress in maths / scientifics subjects). I managed my time with the pomodoro technique (25 minutes of work and after that 5 minutes of break). I honestly don’t know what gave me the power to do it, but I’ve done it. (I think that it’s because I have to make a summary of my “work” in this blog even if nobody is reading it)
If you think that you will be lazy to do what you have to do (i.e. revise maths), I suggest you to prepare all the things that you need to work before going to sleep. For example, if you work at home, before going to sleep, put your notebook, your pen, your calculator, etc... Thanks to that, when you wake up you will not have any excuses (or at least one less) to not work.
After my revision, I had to go in town to fix my bank’s issue. In my #1, I wrote on my notebook all the stuff to do to be more productive. One of these things was to optimise your “commute time” (i.e. in car,  bus etc...), to do it, you can listen audio books for example while in bus, or while walking alone. Unfortunately, I forgot my earbuds / headphones so I didn’t optimise my commute time, but it’s ok, I can’t be perfect from one day to another so I’ll not forget it the next time :)
I have to read my notebook (where I wrote all the things to do to be more productive, etc.) more often so I’ll not forget all the little things (i.e. Be mindful of your effectiveness)
Sorry for my bad english :$

#2 A to-do list ?
Today I installed a to-do app on my phone (”Tasks”) I made a list called “To-do day” where I’ll put all my to-do that I want to achieve for the day. I think that I’ll update the list before going to bed (put in what I want to do for the next day).
I choosed this app because you can sort the tasks by importance and thanks to that, prioritise my tasks. I have read that it’s better to not put a LOT of to-do per day, so I’ll add around 5-6 tasks per day (depends on how much each tasks will take me of my time) to be more as more optimized as possible.
And what if I can’t or if I don’t finish a task during the day ? I’ll just put it for the next day and prioritise it at the highest level (at the top of my to-do list), and of course, I’ll try to not have late tasks.
For the moment I didn’t put my to-do tasks into my calendar, I want to see if I’ll be able to achieve all of my tasks, if I don’t succeed I’ll probably try to schedule them.
For today I have put in my to-do list 5 things to do : (sorted by priority)
☑ Prepare my maths revision      ☑ Sort all my folders / icons on my phone      ☑ Make my school record      ☑ Play basket-ball (sport)      ☑ Clean my workspace / my computer’s storage
That’s all for the moment :)

#1 How to be more productive ?
I didn’t have any path to follow, or idea of what should I do to be more productive. I have always heard about these “things to do to be successful” but I thought it was just some common things and that it will not work.
I was fed up, and I told myself that I’ll do all of these things that “successful people” do, without thinking about it (without thinking how), just doing it. I opened my browser and innocently search “How to be more productive?”, I browsed a lot of web pages and just wrote down all of these things to do.
After writing all of these “techniques” on a note book, I highlighted all the same ideas and I put them together.
Finally, I end up with this:
(From most to least frequent)
Start with the most important first and prioritise your objectives.
Schedule a calendar and make a to-do list which you are going to put in your calendar.
You have to set goals (main goals) and some small goals to reach your main goals.
Make break during your work (pomodoro technique ?) and use your free time well.
Removes all the distractions during your work time.
Sleep well nor wake up early.
Just do it, don’t wait for perfect timing. Jump in.
Clean your workspace and your stuff.
Manage your emails and look at them only during the afternoon.
Have some routine/habits.
Do sports / physical activity.

#0 Introduction
Since I was little, I have never developed an important work ethic. Indeed, I did not really had to work at school (I had facilities that allowed me to.). But now, when I really need to work in school, I have some difficulties.
So, I’ve decided that I need to create a work ethic, a way to be able to be productive and to have the power to work. But firstly, let me introduce you myself  :
I’m a 18-years old (M) student. I live in France. I like computer science and personal development. I created this blog just to keep track of my progress but I made it public because it can help some people to be more motivate nor productive (I guess) and because I’ll use Tumblr.
I’m not a big writer, so my texts are not going to be very long and I really don’t know how this blog will end up. Will I success to create a good work ethic or will I give up like every other time? Whatever, I’ll try to at least publish one post per day with my work of the day, and what did I do.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask : https://whatiswork.tumblr.com/ask
