I was talking to a friend about this and don’t get me wrong we both love Doctor who but this Doctor does seems to come across as a bit toxic at times.

Not everyone wants to be whisked off their feet by a stranger especially those who have just been in a dangerous situation and just want to go home and even after saying no multiple times to anything he said he didn’t listen and just kept telling her it was okay when it’s not.

“I met your family in the future so now we must have a connection and get to know each other so I can understand why I have met you now!”

Belinda just wanted to go home and that’s the most realistic companion ever and I love her for it. Not everyone wants to go on big adventures.

I feel like every ep so far has been a demonstration in why Belinda was right not to trust the doctor in the first place
