Since a lot of folks on Tumblr like to write, a really slept on form of activism is writing letters to the editor of your local newspaper and pitching opinion pieces. I see posts from folks on here all the time that could totally be adapted into short LTEs or even full op-eds.
These can be written for any issue, but if you're interested in doing this for climate action, the Citizens' Climate Lobby has a great tool that will find all of your local (US) newspapers and allow you to easily send LTEs to as many as you'd like with only a couple of clicks. (The tool says to write about the Energy Innovation Act but really they're happy to have you write about anything). The tool doesn't work outside of the US unfortunately, but most newspapers will list an email address on their website which you can send LTEs to directly.
Here is a simple outline and example of how to write an LTE, which only needs to be about 200 words or fewer:
Reference something in the news or a specific part of a news story from your local paper.
Transition into how that news relates to climate change.
Identify a solution.
Present a call to action.
Optional tip: consider including the names of senators or members of congress. Politicians usually have staff who search media for references to them, and "tagging" them like this helps put your issues on their radar.
And that's it! You can talk about any problem or solution you're passionate about, whether it's carbon pricing, EV vehicles, reducing flights, plant-based food systems, or anything else, and they're supposed to be super short so you don't have to worry about knowing all the details or citing specifics or anything stressful. But feel free to spice it up beyond this basic outline as well. Watch CCL's video on writing effective LTEs here for more guidance.
Whether or not your LTE gets published, encouraging media coverage of climate action matters. Climate change is critically under-reported, and just showing your newspaper that their readers care about environmental issues is a meaningful form of activism.

Annie: There are legends of people born with the gift of making music so true, it can pierce the veil between life and death; conjuring spirits from the past...and the future. In ancient Ireland, they were called Filí. In Choctaw land, they called them Fire Keepers. And in West Africa, they were called Griots. This gift can bring healing to their communities. But it also...attracts evil....

Hiding to say what you want to say is both funny and sad.
"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness!"

Social media has been our undoing.
Corporations monetize misinformation and now thanks to that, it has given propaganda and misinformation a tool against logically sound reason.
Where faith and government intertwine and now the two are inseparable.
Where telling "the truth" is clickbait and authenticity is determined not by backed up facts, but by emotions that are fueled by fear.
Where the algorithm rewards people for mindless entertainment and punished those who really want to make a change in the world.
Where "being yourself" is fine as long as it's within the confines of White supremacy.
Social media was a mistake.

The supreme court voted 9-0 to bring Kilmar back to the US. An almost unprecedented vote, where all of them are in complete agreement.
And Donald Trump said no.
Ignoring Kilmar's situation in all of this, the fact that Trump said no should be terrifying. He's openly defying the largest, most high-powered court in the US. The Supreme Court is intended for checks & balances, and he said no.
What else needs to happen before this is labeled a dictatorship? He's denying the democratic system. Without checks from the Court, there is no democracy. This is terrifying.

No. That's an incorrect metaphor. This assumes that someone is breaking into your home, and a judge is there to interject.
First off, there are no such thing as "illegal aliens". Undocumented people, yes. But that's the U.S. Government's fault for politicizing the immigration laws and processes to the point that you're pretty much caused the problem that can't be streamlined overnight.
Therefore, there's no way to tell "the good guys" from the "bad guys". (yet, another simplification I hate, but I am replying to a person with "cartoon" in their name...)
But no judge comes in WHILE a crime is happening anyway. They come into the picture after the crime has happened. But because you deem their existence "criminal", you think using this analogy works.
And even then, no reasonable judge upholding the law is going do things based on heresay evidence. That's why there's due process to begin with.
And if you have a problem with granting due process to non-Americans... it's in the constitution. You know... that document that "separates us from other countries"? The "words we live by"?
It's Amendment #5 and #14.
The Fifth Amendment applies to the federal government, while the Fourteenth Amendment applies the same restriction to the individual states.
It's been applied by law.
Would you like to see why it's important? Here's an article that can help.
Simplifying the argument to this meme doesn't explain nor help. Otherwise, all it takes is a little pre-tense and you just watch the dominos fall.

How good is Sinners?
I don't like horror movies and I enjoyed it.
Love it. Looking forward to a franchise, if it's in the cards.
It's that good.
I don't regret spending money on 4D.

Over the years, I learned that people tend to think of things in Black and White instead of explaining the greys. I understand that politicians are not to be trusted and all that.
But at the same time, two things can be true.
So while I understand that yes, this man who spoke those words may be someone you don't want to represent your thoughts on the quote, at the same time, he's not exactly Jesus.
And I wish people tend to explain the greys better than expecting this person to absolutely fall in line with binary thinking.
It makes these replies more interesting than the "oh, this man is FULL OF IT" with no explanation about why he is.
"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness!"

Educate us about this truth.
Come on.
Do it.

Yall. I know there's a LOT of things happening all the time now. But do not stop watching this story.
The Trump administration is saying that they CANT return this man who was wrongly deported because of an "administrative error."
*can't*? Forgive me if this is tettering on conspiracy, but it feels like the only reason they *can't* is if this man is already dead. When was the last time anyone spoke with him? How sure are we that these people are actually ending up in these El Salvador prisons *alive*?

I can't stomach putting up a whole wall of misery on these topics in their own individual posts, one after the other. These are all just things I read about this morning. So.
American citizen, Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez, born in Georgia, was detained in Florida by ICE during a work trip. His birth certificate was provided, proven authentic. He was still held in prison for an unreasonable amount of time--long enough to spike panic that he too would be 'mistakenly' deported--but immediate backlash followed. He's been released.
2. H.R. 1526, the No Rogue Rulings Act--basically an act meant to disempower judges who go against Trump's wishes--has passed the House. Now waiting on a Senate vote.
3. Dr. Oz was sworn in as the CMS administrator.
4. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service are proposing to rescind the regulatory definition of “harm” in our Endangered Species Act (ESA or the Act) regulations. In other words, no longer counting damage or destruction of animals' environments as harm to the animals. This, combined with Trump's new 'emergency order' to start logging over half our national forests, preludes the imminent conversion of our country into an industrial parking lot.
Comments regarding the Endangered Species Act issue must be received by May 19, 2025.

Earlier, I did a post countering a current President meme and now I decided to delete it.
Why? I was blocked from countering with an answer.
My reblogs were also blocked and I am no longer able to add to the conversation.
This is the first time I tried to counter an argument on this version of Tumblr in hopes of an open discussion and they pretty much blocked my attempts, something I do not do myself unless the discussion gets out of hand and it doesn't stick to the facts.
Since I came back to Tumblr, I am having a hard time interacting with people because they have the option to just block me at the slightest thought that might unravel their argument.
Basically, eliminating what makes this blog good in the first place.
I guess... what Whites will never know... Went from a title of a blog to a movement to keep them NOT knowing.
