Do-it-yourself furniture is that part of the home that makes it feel comfortable and adds charm and character to the home. Whether from wine crates. Pallets, wooden panels, with a little effort and with the right instructions you can build real works of art! And by building we mean not only completely new pieces of furniture, but also refurbishing the old furnishings.
In this way, your apartment will conjure up new splendor and a touch of history at the same time. The old doors don't just have to be "garbage", they can be turned into a complete piece of furniture! We will show you numerous creative ideas on how to build a table out of doors or pallets, as well as many examples of turning "old" into "new". Let yourself be inspired!

The nice thing about the furniture made from old Euro pallets is not only the cool, casual look, but also the sustainability. More and more people are searching the internet for what to build from pallets and the answer is clear - everything! If you want to be happy about individual DIY furniture, simply stack a few pallets on top of each other to build a table or bench. Pallet furniture is an eye-catcher in the interior and not only in the rustic style. A new trend is exactly this, combining old DIY furniture with modern decoration.
It doesn't matter whether you decide on a bed, a shelf, a coffee table or a garden lounge - Euro pallets can be used in many ways. The raw wood enchants your interior with a rustic industrial flair, despite the robust material. If you seal your pallet garden chairs and tables with a weatherproof wood varnish, you can also be sure of durable, stylish furniture be happy.

This bad boy has been featured all over the web and it’s been the most popular project on our site. Who knew people loved mason jars so darn much?!
But when things are popular on the internet, there’s always bound to be some controversy and opposing opinions. #ohhhhhboy
Yep, this DIY project has started some debates. 98% of people love it, and then the other 2% are very concerned about keeping this organizer sanitized in the bathroom. But I have two very simple solutions to put the debate to rest and keep the 2% of haters quiet.

If you still haven’t created a mason jar organizer of your own, take a look at the step-by-step and give it a try! We think they’re great for just about any room (perhaps an office to hold pens & markers, or a kitchen to hold silverware)…the possibilities are endless!

These Christ-Centered Christmas crafts and activities will add some fun to your holiday season and help the kids to focus on the real and only reason for this season – Jesus Christ!
It’s hard to believe that Christmas is almost here!
With a lot of focus being put on Santa and presents, it’s important to remember the true reason we celebrate Christmas: The Birth of Jesus.
Nativity crafts are great ways to bring the Scriptures retelling the birth of Jesus to life, in a hands-on way that kids can understand the true meaning of Christmas. Keep Christ at the center of Christmas and use these crafts to remind you that Jesus is the reason for this season.

No matter what their learning style is, kids always learn better when there is some kind of hands-on activity involved.
These Christian Christmas crafts and activities include Nativity crafts, kid-friendly scripture challenges, and edible Nativity activities! The crafts revolve around a variety of things surrounding the nativity including the manger, angels, and shepherds. They are great for prominently displaying around your home. In the midst of what can be a materialistic time of year, these simple activities can serve as a reminder of the birth of Jesus and keep your focus on Him.

First of all, it is important that you pay attention to the grain of the wood, because it is best to bend across the grain. In the photos you can see what I mean. Unfortunately, I only found long strips of balsa in the hardware store whose grain was exactly wrong for this project, but I simply cut off three strips and glued them together with wood glue as I needed them. To fix it, I glued the individual strips together with masking tape. You simply remove this again when the glue is dry.
Now you have to cut out a wedge. It is best to try beforehand how tightly you can bend the wood so that it does not break. My piece of wood is about 40 centimeters long. Balsa wood can be cut very well with scissors, but of course you can also use a cutter.

If the wood is too stiff, soak it in water first
Now you get something to bend the wood around. I took a metal lid from a sauce jar. This way the structure keeps its shape better. Now wrap the wood around it, glue it to the overlapping end with wood glue and fix the whole thing again with masking tape until it is firm.
When the glue has dried, take a wood drill or Dremel with the appropriate attachment and drill holes in the wood at irregular intervals. I especially like it when the holes are different sizes. Once all the holes have been drilled, you can smooth out the edges and holes with some sandpaper.
And it's done, the small cozy play of light. Certainly it also looks nice if you set up several of them in a group. By the way, I always use electric tea lights. Just for safety. I could imagine that balsa wood not only bends incredibly well, but also burns incredibly well... so be careful.

Are you still looking for a DIY Valentine's Day gift that, for once, isn't kitschy, doesn't contain the colors red or pink or has anything to do with the shape of a heart and is also absolutely suitable as a gift for men? Then I have something for you today! For the Frosch blog I have thought of a cool, triangular picture made of wood for this month, in which the photo is transferred directly onto the wooden surface with the help of a photo transfer paste and which, thanks to the thick wood, can be placed anywhere. Like a picture frame with a picture inside. Just kinda cooler.

You might be wondering now: How does that work? In fact, DIY photo on wood is not as difficult as it sounds. All you need is a photo transfer paste and a laser printer (if you don't have one, go to the copy shop). You can also easily have the wooden triangles cut to size at the hardware store, all you need is a template of the shape on cardboard. A simple, beautiful and personal gift can be made in just a few hours. Whether it's for your partner, your best friend or your best mother - everyone is sure to be happy about such a cool wooden triangle with a photo imprint, isn't it?

A lot of high end stores have figured out that if their store scents and smells wonderful that people will be more likely to want to shop there and hang out there for awhile. I know it works on me, it’s hard to ignore those lingering wonderful scents floating through stores such as Pottery Barn.
The good news is that you can re-create some of these scents in your own home. This Pottery Barn scent is really easy to re-create.

This was a fun little project, and now my house smells great, all ready for Thanksgiving. As I was writing this, I realized that this “recipe” is very similar to another one I tried earlier this year, a recipe for all natural mosquito repellent.
It also uses lemon and rosemary, except to repel mosquitoes AND it smells good. Hmmm…interesting!

The Christmas gift forge is in full bloom, especially since it's not long until Christmas Eve. Today there is something from the beauty section - Do you know the great Lush shower jelly ( here for example)? You can also do something like this yourself very easily!

Silicone molds are everywhere, especially before Christmas, in all shapes and sizes. Be it Tedi, Nanu Nana or even Amazon *. You are free with the shower gel. Just focus on the scent you want . If the shower gel is colorless, you can also use food coloring to color your jelly. You are also free with the decoration. You can use glitter, petals and co to beautify your jelly . I used food glitter 😀

Every year I have a spring cleaning list for Hubs….clean out the garage, trim the bushes, lay new mulch, plant flowers, clean up the yard, etc. But this year I have a list of DIY outdoor projects that I can’t wait for him to tackle….seriously, if I can get him to even make 2-3 of these then our yard will be the envy of our friends!

try to keep the outside of our house looking nice and clean but sometimes the HOA takes things a step further like “Your trashcans can’t be visible from the road”. I mean, seriously, who are we trying to fool into believing that NO ONE in our neighborhood produces trash? I’d much rather see a garbage can sitting next to the house than imagine what the inside of my neighbors’ house looks like with the inevitable trash piling up in the corner! Trash is a fact of life, and unless you’re going to the dump daily or live in an apartment then you’re going to have a trash can outside….at least I am because that disgusting thing is NOT coming inside! So, Hubs is totally going to be building a garbage can storage area like this. But if you want something even more awesome….check out this pallet shed that Anne made for $30!

So I have decided that although Pinterest is fun to look at, it is not EXACTLY the best place to go anymore when you are looking for something that you will actually be able to make. I am sorry Pinterest, but you favor the pretty pictures and shares a little too much these days and do not care about quality or easy to follow instructions like I do. In fact, I highly suspect some of the Pinterest projects I have seen in the last few months are not even possible for the average human to make at home. Lovely, indeed, but no thank you.

Fortunately, I’ve become a bit of an expert in crafting and spotting projects that we common folk can actually reproduce. I really wanted to find a great list of projects that were cool, fun, pretty easy and cool enough for both teens and adults to make. These ideas are super for fun craft ideas for older kids and even adults, decor ideas that are fun and cool enough for any teen room, dorm or apartment, plus some clever and creative DIY gift ideas that are ideal for teens and adults who are young at heart. Be sure to think about these awesome ideas if you are looking for crafts to make and sell, too. I have seen more than one of these fun DIYs for sale on Etsy.
