There was a grin plastered on Sideswipe’s face as he looked over at the other, his sword-arm quickly shifting back into his regular arm. He was aware that most of what she said was likely in jest - or, as Sunstreaker would probably bill it, in mockery of Sideswipe’s stupidity - but for the moment, he didn’t care. He was in a good mood, and nothing was going to ruin it.

“No, no, you’re good. Keep talking, it inflates my ego.”

But perhaps such one-sided complimenting was considered rude among humans? And Maggie here was one of the few tolerable organics he’d encountered so far... “But, then, I mean, as far as humans go, uh...” He paused, not knowing what to say next. This could potentially be dangerous ground, so he looked down at her, one hand rubbing the back of his neck. “What do humans consider a compliment?”

Does your alternate mode count? I'm very fond of that package. What about the stabbity sword arms? Those are nifty.

“Aheh. I do have quite a few good features, I must admit.”

He paused when she added the arms, and flexed real quick, before shifting that arm into a sword and winking.

It was a good thing Sideswipe had long since learned to lock his wheels in place whenever he wasn’t planning to move, because the kiss had left him slightly unsteady on his feet, and the last thing he needed was to lose his footing and fall on his aft in front of one as stunning as Hot Rod.

“Well, you did have an unfair advantage,” Sideswipe responded, still grinning widely. He was certain he looked like an idiot. “I’ve been crushing on you since I first laid optics on you... aheh.”

He had to admit, it took him by complete surprise. He’d seen the other ‘bot hanging around, and had taken something of an interest in him, but, as was befitting one of the Terror Twins, something had set him off and he’d gone into a rant. Hot Rod had cut it short.

Without thinking twice, Sideswipe pulled him back in, returning the kiss, before pulling away and grinning an almost drunken-looking grin. “You’re a real good kisser…”

AS SOON as he was released, a glimmer of MISCHIEF dancing amid starlit depths, lips curved in a sweet grin – Hot Rod was the very picture of arrogance validated. Doorwings that was arched; fluttered with glee, optical ridges quirked. A soft laugh laced with static that indicated that even he was not left UNAFFECTED by the kiss.

“Of course, I am. I’m French.”

     Another laugh, teasing && light.

“I didn’t even have  to use my glossa to STUN you, Sideswipe.”

Sideswipe just grunted, not quite sure how he was expected to react. He was fairly certain she was an enormous arachnicon of some kind, and frightening as those were, his dignity seemed to be on the line, judging from what she was saying.

Well, dignity be damned.

He crossed his optics and flared his audials forward. “There, an impression of you.”

Sideswipe closed his optics and leaned into the touch, a contented noise like a sigh escaping him as he did. He was much more physically affectionate than a lot of the other mechs he knew, and physical contact of any kind had become scarce in the days following the essential disbanding of the Autobots when the humans had turned on them. To put it bluntly - the silver corvette stingray was damn-near touch-starved, and he knew it.

“I don’t know what I did to get you back, but I’m damned glad you’re here.”
