Having foreseen Blue Diamond’s “shattering,” Sapphire hurries to warn her Diamond not to go to Earth. Blue Diamond, afraid that her plans might be discovered, banishes Sapphire to an empty planet, labeling her as a traitor to other gems. Thousands of years later, Connie’s message goes out to the galaxy, revealing the truth behind Sapphire’s vision. Angry and betrayed, Sapphire plans her revenge on the Earth that destroyed her and the daughter Blue lied to create.

And here’s Steven and Connie! Surprise! In this AU Connie is the daughter of Blue Diamond and Doug Maheswaran. She still goes to school and loves learning, but it’s definitely a challenge to balance that with all of this gem stuff! She doesn’t need glasses, but wore them anyways because she thought it would help her fit in better. Meanwhile, Steven is still Greg’s kid and is “homeschooled.” Or perhaps “vanschooled” would be a better term. Can you guess who his mom is?

Connie and Steven met in much the same way as they did in cannon. One of the things Connie liked the most about Steven was that he didn’t seem to think the giant gem in her chest was weird.

Doug married Priyanka not long after Steven and Connie met, so Connie essentially has four moms, but her life isn’t nearly as strict as canon Connie’s.

Meet Onyx! Currently assigned under White Diamond, Onyx is in charge of the Crystal Quartz soldiers.

Meet the Slate twins! These two were originally miners, sometime operating the large drills, and other times perfecting the dig with hand precision. They’ve also been known to scout new planets to see if they have adequate minerals to form a new gem colony.

Curly was sent to the front lines during the war, while Slate got lost on a mining expedition. Curly ended up joining the crystal gems, helping them gather resources in their war efforts.

Meet “Rosie” (Rose Quartz) and Lace Pearl! Originally part of Pink’s court, they joined the crystal gems so they could finally be the gem they wanted to be. These two friends love everything music and when fused together, Blossom Quartz has a beautiful set of harmonies.

Meet Lavender Pearl!  She used to be a pearl who worked for a Commander Amethyst Guard, but when she joined the Crystal Gems she was able to really let her funk fly!   Her shredded skirt shows she’s not afraid to get crazy, but still likes to embrace her feminine side. Her friends call her Lav or Liv for short.
