GOT Series Finale thoughts & musings SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY
I don’t think any of us expected the writing to be good, so let’s get that out of the way since it hasn’t been good for a generous two seasons, an honest three, and a arguable four.
The biggest flaw imo has been how rushed everything is, and you really felt it in this episode, which is ironic because it was very slow and choppy. The pacing this episode was atrocious imo.
Now onto thoughts I had while watching this episode:
-Why was Arya there are the beginning? They showed her leaving last episode, now she’s stuck around, but isn’t going to even try to kill Dany, what’s the point? And then she does leave, but we don’t see it? Very odd decision.
-Minor but when did Dany have time to get that outfit? I appears to be like the next day at latest wth lmao
-I don’t understand the writing for Tyrion at all. Why would be confront her so publicly, why even vocalize how you feel towards it? That’s already been made plenty clear...My only thought is that he was so despondent that he was wrong and had killed Varys believing in Dany that he just figured it was time for him to die, but all in all that’s very odd. And why not just kill him there tbh? She did that with Varys. Seems like plot armour, I’m afraid.
-”the war is over now” WHY IS JON SO STUPID? Jon has always been a bit dim like Ned but holy fuck they wrote him so trash this season, especially this episode.
-I marked and wrote “32 minutes in and it’s moving very slowly” sure there’s cool shots of tyrant Dany giving epic speeches but c’mon
-Dany-Jon kiss and kill scene feels very soap opera omg
-wrote: “THANK FUCK SHE’S DEAD”
-THOUGH, it seemed way to easy. With how suspicious she and Greyworm have been over Jon and his ilk, very odd that it was that simple all in all.
-Honestly, I didn’t expect Drogon to outlive his mama, Thought they’d have to kill him to get to her
-uhhhh where is he taking her LOL
-Jon shoulda just cleaned that shit up and been like Drogon took her for a ride dunno what happened yo
-Honestly, the pacing and transitions this episode are godawful, perhaps the worst they’ve ever been
-I hate this trash council scene. The Edmure stuff is painful. Why bring him back like this? I mean they didn’t even bother acknowledging him and this is them bringing him back wtf Awkward and not funny the whole scene is odd, except for Sam, Tyrion and Sansa’s parts
-Oh hello Robyn Arynn of the Teat
-I mean, I don’t get the people thinking either Dany or Jon was gonna take the throne so....
-Ok, Bran is king but it’s kinda lame how they’ve written him since he’s basically a personality-less bag of trash these days
-Oh and his story isn’t the most interesting Tyrion, even your’s is more interesting, don’t lie, Imp
-So is Bran a villain or nah? I mean he knew all this was gonna go down and didn’t care to try and change any of it? Or what? I’m suspicious of this broken bitch
-57 endings commence!
-This whole bitch one long epilogue that doesn’t tell us shit LOL
Ok things I did like, to one degree or another:
-TYRION AND SANSA SURVIVED THANK YOU BABY JESUS
-Sansa talking bout how Bran’s dick is also broke not just his legs okay good
-Sansa standing up for the North and becoming an independent queen
-Tyrion back at the council, and the council in general, very good
-Jon finally reuniting with Ghost (thought he would) and being married to Torumd his pretty cool. Always liked him with Wilding redheads over dragon bitches anyway.
-Sansa’s coronation outfit stole this whole bitch show, ya’ll better bow down, Littlefinger wanking off in hell over this and you know it
-Davos finally getting some respect, he deserves more and ya’ll know it
-Arya becoming Christopher Colombus and going off to colonize Americos for the North, niiiiiiiice
IN CONCLUSION
this is all I can think of right now.
RIP GOT

This would be better than where they’re going and you know it.
As King’s Landing burns, Daenerys walks up to the Iron Thrones and sits. She takes off her face, revealing Petyr Baelish.
He is The King of the Ashes.

Aww these poor bitches didn’t see the Dany writing on the wall.
PS Toxic masculinity isn’t a thing Tumblr, get over it.
This episode is peak toxic masculinity. “She’s too strong for him. She’ll bend him to her will.” Why would anyone at HBO approve this writing in 2019?!

GOT S8E4 Initial Thoughts
MUCH BETTER THAN LAST WEEK
I’ll probably do a “full review” later on, but I was rather pleased with this episode, it was quite the tear jerker, I’ll admit.
The writing in this one felt much more substantial, the interactions were much more interesting.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Ep 3 Thoughts, Criticisms, This Show
I have to get some of my thoughts out. If you’ve been following me long enough, you’ll know how I hate watch GOT, since season 4/5 (ish) it’s gone rapidly downhill but this latest episode probably takes the cake, so I’ve got some opinions I need to vent severely. With no further ado I’ll name the very few things I actually liked/enjoyed from this episode:
-Jorah’s death scene was actually well done, that moment with Dany with Drogon coming up as if to comfort her actually gave me some feels and I loathe Dany and feel indifferent to Jorah, but well done indeed
-Theon did get a good though very expected sendoff. I particularly liked that he showed off his archery skills again.
-I also liked the part where what brought Sandor back into the fight was to save Arya (more on this later though)
That’s IT. Everything else is a criticism towards the endlessly sloppy writing on this show.
First of all, I think just one episode dedicated to this “war” is a HUGE mistake. They’ve built this up as the “real war” for EIGHT SEASONS and it was easily the easiest battle of them all. Hardhome, the Battle of the Bastards, Blackwater, the Wall-ALL WERE DONE BETTER AND WERE MORE INTENSE.
Part of the problem horrible strategy, and in general a dumb level of chaotic nothingness going on. And part of this problem is that they’ve abandoned LONG ESTABLISHED LORE. Wights are NOT that difficult to kill or that dangerous, why are they such a threat all of a sudden? Why didn’t the Walkers battle like at Hardome? Why waste all the Dothraki calvary like that? ETC.
Let’s talk who they killed off. Edd, Lyanna, Jorah, Theon, Beric, and the NK. Most of these deaths were stupid, forgettable, or very expected. Theon dying for Bran was only good in that it was fairly well done, but it was hardly surprising or griping, and I say this as a huge Theon fan. Jorah’s death was kinda expected too, esp. since the last episode. It was executed well though, I’ll give it that. Lyanna’s was ok, though her whole storyline except for her initial introduction is tedious imo. Beric has died 19 times ffs, the real shock would be him surviving not dying. Edd’s death was trash. The biggest issues with the deaths isn’t so much who did die as who DIDN’T. I have some ideas that would’ve made it much more interesting/powerful.
-Brienne or Jamie. In either scenario, one saving the other. In Brienne’s case, she’s very beloved character, and since being knighted last episode in particular it’s a completion of her character arc. In Jamie’s case he’d have died honorably, and it would fit what Bran had said in the previous episode about him fighting and possibly not seeing past the battle: He came there and died to save Brienne. Both would be heartbreaking, kill of a beloved character, and provide good drama.
-Sandor dying to save Arya. I liked that it was Arya and her life being threatened that got him out of his “daze”. It would have been a heroic end, AND IF the same ending occurred with Arya killing the NK, it would have been a good scene prompting some motivation for her. The red woman giving her little “hint” as Arya watches Sandor breath his last breath. Could’ve also had Beric ultimately survive, kinda rubbing he death in the face more.
-Jorah’s death was well done, but it’s also a bit unbelivable Dany was so unscathed. Her dying with Jorah would’ve obviously thrown a HUGE curve ball.
-Sam dying instead of Edd, another shocking twist. Not that I wanted him to die, but it would be heartbreaking.
-Either Missendei or GIlly being killed in the crypts.
Not saying all of these should’ve happened btw, just stating some better ideas.
Now, lastly, let’s talk about that ending. No, Arya’s not a Mary Sue, but it’s still a lame ending af. More plot armor and other inconsistencies, most importantly that it was 1) so easy to kill the NK, and 2) that none of the Walkers tried to stop her. Ridiculous.
Some other great twist ending ideas:
-NK and Bran actually working together: Would change the whole game perhaps then the real way to defeat the army of the dead would be having to kill Bran, either Jon, Arya, or wildcard Sansa having to carry it out in a part 2 episode
-NK successfully killing Bran, and marching South
-Theon is the prophecy after all, fits his Iron Isles birth, would’ve been really unexpected, definitely boosted his heroic redemption arc, he and the NK kill eachother
The writing on this show is unforgettably sloppy, and they’re only doing 6 episodes this season is kinda a testament to that. So disappointed though I duno why I should be.

Stranger Things 2 review (SPOILERS)
Great season overall, very happy with it, had pretty good pacing, the last eisode wasn’t as choppy as s1 finale was, which I appreciate.
Fav, characters for me are definitely Will, Steve, Bob, Jonathan, Hopper, Lucas, and Dustin. I liked the new girl Max too. Her brother is a bit too cliche for me, ughs.
We didn’t get much of Will last season but I had a feeling I’d like him even more if he got more screen time and I was beyond correct! I consider him this season’s MVP.
I loved where they were going with Steve’s character in s1 and in s2 they improved it tenfold! He and Dusin are awesome together.
Bob was amazing, pretty depressing to see him go tbh.
Mike gave me conflicted feelings this season. Like him overall but he was a tad annoying, almost always whining for Eleven. I do like his and Will’s friendship though.
The Nancy and Jonathan storyline was definitely weakest link. Happy they went after the dipshits that caused all of this but it wasn’t nearly as juicy a plot as everyone else.
oh, also liked that Paul Reiser’s character, the doctor, turned out to be a good guy.
now for another year’s wait :D
