It was great to revive this cosplay after 5 years! Gotta wear it again before time makes it fall apart, right? <3

Ulala is a very important cosplay for me in many aspects. It has brought new challenges, from making the props to styling the wig (even if you consider the sewn parts and boots were comissioned). It also requires a slightly more elaborated makeup than usual, and dealing with a more exposed body (fortunately, everyone was very respectful in this aspect).

Also, the skits for Ulala require dancing, and althougn I’m familiar enough with it, since I took ballet classes as a child and teen, I still had to practice and practice for it in 2013. Probably the performances I’ve practiced the most. And it was worth it, since it even got me a spot in the Yamato Cosplay Cup Brazilian finals (for which I practice a lot more, hahaha!). No awards, but I had a ton of fun, and this is what really matters to me. You can see some stage photos here.

Ulala is a fantastic, vibrant character, and her videogame franchise, Space Channel 5, is a lot of fun! Give it a try, if you can!

Even though I was sad to see it go so soon, I wasn't gonna draw anything for yesterday because I never got to fully experience the first Splatoon, though after watching people stream its last moments and hear a bunch of their stories I felt this loss harder than I expected
