Chilled finger tips coiled tightly around the hilt of her  myrtenaster, in taking breath as she drew back from the acquired target. Remember your training. It was the only thing she could of done right. Perfection was unachievable, at least to the normal ones... But Weiss, well she was nothing close to normal. If perfection was unobtainable to the everyone else, surely with enough effort she could have it all.

She could make her family proud.

In a dash towards the creature before her, she struck it once, letting the grimm scuttle into a mad pattern. Certainly child's play. The boarbatusk hit into the bark of a surrounding tree, soon setting its sights on the heiress . She lifted her blade, switching the dust in the hilt to the blue. It was about to charge.

One last hit, and she'd be the flawless victor.

With a snort, the creature trotted toward her, now to time it correctly... A passing shadow ran through her peripheral line of sight, Weiss doubled back for a split second until- an impact. Weiss fell to her knee with the beast straight above her, clearly ready to tear her to shreds.  Instinctively, she adjusted the dust filament to red as its tusks pierced into the ground just under her. Good, that gave her enough time grasp myrtenaster and thrust it through its chin.

Kicking away the now limp body, she dusted of her dress with a stern expression on her face. If it wasn't for that little distraction.  And with a turn of her head, she gazed right at that very distraction. "You." she muttered venomously to the other staring back at her.  " I was nearly mauled because of you! Was there any particular reason you just had to pop out of nowhere?"

Winter Waltz

The frigid sting of the winter came none to gradually in Vale, just another awful reminder of all the bad luck that came with this particular season. At least, for Weiss Schnee. The Holidays were never such a jolly and fantastic time for her, unlike everyone else at Beacon. Her holiday tradition was composed of plentiful Schnee company gifts, but absent of any family.   Sure, she could appreciate the presents given to her, but it felt robotic, cold, impersonal. Not once in her life had her family given her an actual Christmas.  With a curt fold of her arms and upturn of her nose, she dismissed the entire ungodly season as some silly childhood holiday

She had to admit though, with her team out of the dorms shopping for presents to give each other, that all too familiar feeling seeped back into the pit of her stomach. Weiss found herself actually wishing for their company, perhaps she should of taken up their offer earlier? She let a deep sigh escape through her lips, fogging up the frosted window-pail. "For once, I just wish I could have a normal Christmas…"
